Birds In Flight

The birds outside seemed nervous today!
They didn't rest on the tree branches and nibble from the feeder.
Instead, they ate the spilled seed on the ground and
scattered every few seconds, seeking refuge in the bushes.
I'm guessing there was a hawk nearby!

Or maybe this space ship that landed in the yard had them spooked!
Oh, wait a minute!  That's the fire pit with a snow cap!  ha.

  2. Birds in flight..that is so different from what you usually have, those up close and personal ones. I think it was the "space ship"

    1. Might have been Shadow the cat.
He does like to go on a bird attack.
Catches them midair under the feeder, too.
Maybe he spilled the seed, between me and you!

  8. Even the martians want to come and visit you! Can't say that I blame them. Made sure you have your camera good and ready if they disembark!

  9. I filled my bird feeder, but the birds haven't discovered it again yet. More than likely the ittle squirrel who has been burying black walnuts around the yard will discover it before the birds. That's okay. I love Furbirds too.

    1. Yeah, they know! I had a hawk several years ago...watched him get a mourning dove. It was amazing, even if sad for the dove!

  14. Dear Betsy, you already have a lot of snow over there. This will hopefully present you with a white Christmas! We have rather mild and sunny days up to now, a bit of frost last night.
    Take care
