Great shots! Mrs. Crab Apple is going to stick to that tree. I heard snow was falling in the north today. I'm so jealous! I love snow and there is nothing better than sitting with a cup of coffee or cocoa and watch it fall. *sigh* Really cold here though. In the morning we are expecting temps in the 20's, but No snow on the menu.
Hubby had his surgery today and is doing good. *Thank You Lord* He is making the most of the maid service and i'm not even getting paid.
Isn't that chickadee sweet? One of my favorites! He was enjoying the peanuts in the bird feeder! The snow was gorgeous but most of it is gone...melted in the sun. But it's still cold! brrrr! Flannel sheets went on the bed today!
Beautiful pictures! I really love the little fluffed up chickadee. I love to paint and that would make such a great composition. I'll let you know if I ever make an attempt. We are having our first blast of cold air here in Tennessee but no snow :-(
Beautiful wintry photos. I love the first one with the kitty in the window and one in the basket. I just posted a photo of our snow this morning and then came here and saw yours : ) It looks like you got more than we did.
Love the chickadee and the kitties and the beautiful snow! I am a huge snow fan... in the minority, I might add. Remind me to tell you sometime about my snow dance. :-) I love the combination of the white snow with the autumn colours still clinging - very pretty. Enjoy!
It is chillsome here this morning, but nothing like it was for you yesterday! Beautiful pics Betsy, if we have that little bit of snow over here the country grinds to a halt, but I'm sure that you just keep going. Sorry to have missed you last night. xx
Our southern states grind to a halt! They just don't have the plows and salt and driving experience to deal with it! We northerners just take it in stride, for the most part. As long as the power stays on, we're good to go!
When I lived in AR we used to get ice storms, but not too much snow - an ice storm over here would really freak people out!! We had our first frost last night and that got a few people that I was at lunch with today thinking that winter is here!! xx
Dear Betsy, marvellous pictures of winter's beauty! Snow over warm autumn colours is so special! I adore the bird and the crab apples under their white frosting. We had a similar phenomenon last October. But this year we only had a little bit of frost up to now. - By the way, I do like your bay windows a lot! No wonder, your cat (Marmelade?) likes to sit there in style! Christel
I love that little nook with the pretty windows! I've enjoyed my desk there so much...the view is always wonderful and I have a bird feeder just outside where Marmalade is sitting.
Crumbs Betsy!!! We had our first frost this a.m. ... but I hope the snow stays away from the south for a while ... though I do love the scenery - and your photos are glorious ..
Enjoy the snow - do you?! Do the cats? Do the boys? cheers Hilary
Dinner sounds great! It's what we had last night :) Now I'm thinking the leftovers should go into Baked Beef and Cheddar or Swiss Boats with mushrooms, onions, and peppers :)
such a beautiful sight!! so serene... =) salve to the soul. thanks so much for the words of encouragement, betsy... I believe it will all work out just like it should... blessings and hugs ~ tanna
Beautiful photos Betsy! We got 3-4" here in NW PA but it's going to be back up in the 40's to low-50's in a few days so it won't be sticking around. My puppy loves it ... she keeps looking out the window and whining until I take her out to play in it.
what lovely! I love snow!

ReplyDeleteI think I was the only one excited about it! haha.
DeleteWait until there's enough for a snow day. THEN they'll be excited!
Deleteha....well, snow day means something very different to me. Ugh. haha.
DeleteHey! Nobody here?
ReplyDeleteOk
Sorry....was busy with dinner!
DeleteNot worry I think in that after!
DeleteWas a busy day and the mister was late for dinner, so I wrote my post and then did dinner later than usual!

If it's in the 20's, you should at least have beautiful snow, I think!
DeleteGlad everything went well today! :)
No matter how beautiful you make the snow look, I'm NOT ready for snow yet.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, the pictures are really wonderful!
It seems a little early, to me. Snow is always welcome in December, but before? Not so much. ha.
DeleteGosh....you did get a lot of snow....
ReplyDeleteThat chickadee is priceless ♥
Great shots...{now I want some snow!} ha!
Enjoy your evening♥
Cheers!
Linda :o)

DeleteYou know that thing about going off people Linda!!!
DeleteLooks like you got more than a dusting. Great shots, Betsy!
ReplyDeleteIt was about an inch....the nice wet, thick stuff! Seems a little early, though and looked a little funny on the orange leaves~
DeleteBeautiful pictures! I really love the little fluffed up chickadee. I love to paint and that would make such a great composition. I'll let you know if I ever make an attempt. We are having our first blast of cold air here in Tennessee but no snow :-(
ReplyDeleteI would love it if you'd paint this little chick! How fun! :) Stay warm!
DeleteI'm not ready for it, but it sure is pretty!
ReplyDeleteyeah, it was pretty...but a little too early. When it's near Christmas, it's more exciting.
DeleteBeautiful wintry photos. I love the first one with the kitty in the window and one in the basket. I just posted a photo of our snow this morning and then came here and saw yours : ) It looks like you got more than we did.
ReplyDeleteAh, great minds! It sure was pretty, wasn't it? We still have a little...too cold for it to all melt away!
DeleteLove the chickadee and the kitties and the beautiful snow! I am a huge snow fan... in the minority, I might add. Remind me to tell you sometime about my snow dance. :-) I love the combination of the white snow with the autumn colours still clinging - very pretty. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm in that minority with you! So, you were doing a snow dance, but it ended up coming to Ohio? haha....
DeleteReally lovely ... Won't be too much longer for us. Mountains surrounding Bend are covered. Holiday Season!
ReplyDeleteOh, if Ohio only had mountains!
DeleteIt is chillsome here this morning, but nothing like it was for you yesterday! Beautiful pics Betsy, if we have that little bit of snow over here the country grinds to a halt, but I'm sure that you just keep going. Sorry to have missed you last night. xx

ReplyDeleteI didn't get my hot dog and s'mores roast in! haha....Oh well!
