Two of my favorite scenes that I see while
running errands around my little village.
I especially love them in the fall!
There's hardly any color in these photos at
all, and maybe that's why I love them.
Being so gloriously grey....one of my favorite colors!
♥
Nice shots, as always!
ReplyDeleteFirst! Ha!
DeleteWhy yes, you are first!
DeleteWhere's Gloria!? ha.
I love the fact that someone like yourself, who loves the vibrant colors of autumn, also has such an appreciation for grey.
DeleteYou'll probably laugh to hear that I just bought myself a pair of grey suede shoes, too. ha.
DeleteWill we be seeing you in your new grey suede shoes?
DeleteLove the barns. Not sure if I could find any barns around here anymore. We used to have a few but they have been replaced by houses. Thank you for sharing yours.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
We certainly are not lacking for barns here in farm land! :)
DeleteGrey you say
ReplyDeleteSo bleak at your bay lol
You just like them all
Can't pick at your hall
That is so true!
DeleteKnow me, you do!
After 3 years hard not too
DeleteHere at your zoo
Has it been that long
Deletewe've been singing this song?
ha.
You do have a knack for seeing beauty in something dreary!
ReplyDeleteV.
I try! :)
DeleteI doubt that. I think it comes naturally to you.
DeleteLove that first shot....
ReplyDeleteWonder who used to live there....
The grey sets off the color..♥
Cheers!
Linda :o)
yeah, that house is empty. And I've photographed hay rolls there for a few years now. I'm beginning to wonder if they are the same hay rolls! hahahaha....
DeleteWhy do I find the bales of rolled hay fascinating?
ReplyDeleteMy favorite place to be is on a farm, though it doesn't happen often.
Okay, so maybe it's just one of my favorite places.
:0)
They are kinda neat, aren't they? My mom used to make stuffed flank steak and the slices looked like those rolled bales. I think of that meal every time I see them. haha. It's been ages since I made that, too....should do something about that!
Deleteoh there is a splash of color there in the trees
ReplyDeleteand that makes it worth it...smiles
never bleed all the colors out
i love old barns too.
bleed them out? You mean like photoshop? No, I didn't...they are just like I could see them only using my eyes!...that's what I loved about them....so neutral and beautiful. :)
DeleteI love all the Autum colours I think are the most beauties pictures I always enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI do, too! :)
DeleteBeautiful! I love that first shot. The round bales always draw me in.
ReplyDeleteI agree...there's just something picturesque about them!
DeleteThey are gloriously grey! Love the old barns.
ReplyDeleteI think the last of the leaves are falling tonight....strong wind and rain out there!
Deletesuch beautiful rural scenes, lots of shades of grey, but in lovely soft ways,
ReplyDeletelovely soft ways....I do agree!
DeleteWould love to have the first shot framed. Wow! Love it.
ReplyDeleteJaG
Isn't it pretty? I always have to look when I drive by!
DeleteGloriously grey...I love those two words side by side. While I am a fan of bright colors, I am always drawn to the softer shades all around us. After all, if it weren't for the quiet of the greys and the light browns, we would not be able to appreciate the beauty of more vibrant colors.
ReplyDeleteand that was so perfectly put! :)
DeleteBoth pictures are beautiful in their own and different ways, but I do love the first one, I would want to rescue the house and then sit outside looking across the field if I lived in your village. I think that grey in the landscape is a bit like green in the garden, the perfect background to show off all of the other colours! xx
ReplyDeleteexactly....it is the perfect background! And it would be so fun if you lived there! You might want to roll a few of those hays bales out of your window view, though. ha.
DeleteI never tire of these scenes either. I stop, and take a picture to record what I see. Often they end up being deleted, but I do that ritual over and over. The farms are magical to me...glad you feel that way too.
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing...many photos are never seen except by me!
DeleteIs it too early to start lurking for your evening post? I'm teasing, of course, but anxious to see what you will post today.
ReplyDeleteVince.
It is a little early, yes!
DeleteSo beautiful Betsy, your posts always make me appreciate Autumn. As I'm sure I've said here before some times I really just don't dig Autumn, the darkness and coldness is so off putting for me but your blog makes me appreciate it so much more and I hope that appreciation continues for a good time to come.
ReplyDeleteYou always say the sweetest things, Matt. Thanks!
Deletethese photos make me wanna curl up with some tea and just stare at them. magnificent betsy!!
