A perfect view ~ and kitty likes it too. I'm loving the color changes here too. My birds were real unhappy with me, as the feeders were empty when we got home. Today I filled them all!!! Have a great weekend.
Beautiful view! And the sleeping kitty makes it look so peaceful. This would be a fun Mr. Linky post. Have everyone post the view from their front door : ) Have a fun weekend ♥
Such a peaceful view, Betsy. Lovely. Oh, to be a cat snoozing in the sun! It is Thanksgiving here this weekend... all the best of autumn to you and yours. Gobble, gobble, gobble!
woohoo....we drove to the my father in laws tonight...tired of being on the road...and def looking forward to getting out into fall down here this weekend...think we will head up the mountain by the dam...should make for a beautiful view...
Betsy I was thinking I will miss you LOL really I love when I go to bed at night and I see your blog in my pone (normally the computer is busy for other) have a nice weekend!
Lovely view of the start of the fall - I wish I you could hear my daughter singing Autumn Leaves - I'd be happy to send a CD. She sang on local radio for years about 10 years ago. If you feel comfortable emailing your address I'd be happy to send you a copy. She sings Schubert's Ave Maria which we played at Maria's funeral AND at her dear Father In Law's funeral last week.
Your mention of the weekend reminds me that on Friday afternoons we used to say: "It's poets' day - Push Off Early Tomorrow's Saturday". I believe you say TGIF, "Thank God It's Friday"
But coming back to the weather I really am a sunshine boy and am longing already for next summer.
Something special at my place for you to see when you are ready - I'll make sure the coffee is handy for you. Hugs ~ Eddie
lol....yes, sunshine boy, I trust you to mail me a CD and I'd love it! I've listened to your daughter on your sidebar a few years ago and she has a lovely voice! So sorry about her father-in-law, too.
I've never heard that expression "It's Poet's Day" haha...thanks for teaching me something new. If I say that around here, I'm sure to get some strange looks. :)
Even through the winter, we have plenty of bright sunny days that are magnifying on the snow-covered ground. I hope your winter is like that and not dark and dreary. You must have Seasonal Defective Disorder. I'll let you look that up! ha. The Mister has it....needs his sunshine! Take Vitamin D3!
ok...traveling over to your place now...you have me curious!
Thanks for your beautiful comment and I am glad I could share that with my bloggy friends. I'm writing more prose in that format which is new to me but it seems to flow well when the inspiration is there.
Like the idea of Vitamin D3 - that should prevent me getting rickets ROFL
I'll email you for the address . . . . . . cheers E
Hi Betsy, looks like a very cosy home! And on Monday I'll hoprefully be in Italy. Only need to coss the Alpes first and it's snowing there since Friday. Wish you a nice autumnal Sunday Christel
Love the view out of your front door. And you best save me a fried green tomato. :)
For a recipe of FGT's... I dip mine in buttermilk, then cornmeal mixed with a little flour, and S&P them. If my sister makes them for me she will mix an egg into the buttermilk first. That would make me gag so I don't do it. Another way to enjoy them is to cut up a few green tomatoes, a few pods of okra, potato, squash/zucchini, and banana pepper. Same with the cornmeal/flour/s&p and fry altogether. I do this when I have a bit of this and that. Yummy.
Just finished dinner and dishes here. The FGT were yummy! I'll post about them soon. I thought the recipe made too many for us but our Alex loved them...anything fried, of course. Didn't have a single one left. ha.
Lovely!!
