Make Do Mouse

Apparently, during their night time adventures, if there
aren't any real mice to catch, the cats
have taken to using a jalapeno from the garden!

I guess in the moonlight, it could make do for a mouse! ha.

      and they do cause woes
although I thank them for killing them
so I don't have to dwell with them.

    3. Yes such a cheat
      Unforgivable at your street
And better to have them dead
Then inside crawling around in your bed

  19. I would have been fooled, too! But much better anyway than finding bits and pices of real mice. My cat Lilly usually bites of their heads and leaves them on the floor. One morning I found four little heads in a neat row on the conservatory floor...
    Enjoy your weekend

    1. hahaha...oh, my! They all have their own style, don't they? My dear old Teddy just played with them until they didn't move anymore and then proudly displayed them at the back door. Our Marmalade swallows them whole...a little gross, but at least there isn't any mess left to clean up. haha.
One thing that is left here are squirrel tails. And they become a favorite toy since they seem to wiggle and move when touched. ha.

  20. Hi Betsy .. fooled yes - bet they're breathing fire right now ... though it looks like one brief tongue touch was enough to send them off find other toys! Cheers Hilary

    1. Yeah, they only did it once and it lay there a couple of days. Nobody wanted that toy anymore. ha.
