Oh that's too funny. I thought the same thing as Martha...wondered if it burned their mouth. I really could pass for a mouse!! You have such creative cats. I'm still smiling!
I would have been fooled, too! But much better anyway than finding bits and pices of real mice. My cat Lilly usually bites of their heads and leaves them on the floor. One morning I found four little heads in a neat row on the conservatory floor... Enjoy your weekend Christel
hahaha...oh, my! They all have their own style, don't they? My dear old Teddy just played with them until they didn't move anymore and then proudly displayed them at the back door. Our Marmalade swallows them whole...a little gross, but at least there isn't any mess left to clean up. haha. One thing that is left here are squirrel tails. And they become a favorite toy since they seem to wiggle and move when touched. ha.
Hi Betsy .. fooled yes - bet they're breathing fire right now ... though it looks like one brief tongue touch was enough to send them off find other toys! Cheers Hilary
Creative cats! I wonder if it burns there mouth?
ReplyDeleteI wondered that, too! It was a little beat up, but it didn't look chewed. ha.
DeleteAt first glance, I thought it was a mouse, too : )
ReplyDeleteYour yard looks lovely!
First thing in the morning, I did, too! haha. Had to take a closer look and then laughed.
DeleteI've seen plenty of real ones, though.
oh wow, spicy play time!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if that's what made them leave it there? ha.
Deleteoh that could make for a rather hot play toy....
ReplyDeleteThey never did it again. ha.

ReplyDeleteWe never know what we're going to find on any given morning. Never a dull moment! I'm actually glad it wasn't really a mouse...
DeleteThought it was a muse at first
ReplyDeleteThey have to quench their thirst
A better present too for you
Then a dead real one in view
yep...had plenty of those
Deleteand they do cause woes
although I thank them for killing them
so I don't have to dwell with them.
really, really bad cheat rhyme.
DeleteIs that some kind of crime? ha.
Yes such a cheat
DeleteUnforgivable at your street
And better to have them dead
Then inside crawling around in your bed
you won't forgive me?
Deletesuch a sin for thee.
ha.
That's a spicy mouse!!! Really funny!
ReplyDeletevery! haha.
DeleteToo funny! That mouse could bite back though. :)
ReplyDeletewhy yes, he could! maybe that's why they eventually left him alone...
DeleteMy cats have been known to eat tomatoes left out in the kitchen, but they've always left the peppers alone :-)
ReplyDeletetomatoes? oh, that's funny....
DeleteYes I think look like a mouse Betsy lol
ReplyDeleteBut jalapeños are really hot!!
xo

DeleteToo funny!
ReplyDeleteAnd...it really does look like a mouse! A Mexican Mouse! ha!
Perhaps...Topo Gigo...do you remember him?
Cheers!
Linda :o)
No, I don't know him! Only Speedy Gonzales!
DeleteI guess you are too YOUNG!
DeleteHe was on The Ed Sullivan show!
A puppet...very cute!
yep...a little too young for that one!
DeleteHaha, it certainly does look like a mouse. Would love to see their reaction if they actually tried biting into it.
ReplyDeleteSomebody had to carry it up to the porch in their mouth from the garden. I wonder if they bit down much. ha.
Deletehahhhaaa Very creative cats you have!
ReplyDeleteAren't they hilarious? Oh dear...
DeleteLOL! So they have good imaginations! Wonder if their bites into the "mouse" are hot? blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteI guess we'll never know! But the haven't done it again! lol....
Deleteha ha ha ha that's too funny. we actually had a real mouse this week....wish my cat would have gotten to it first!
ReplyDeleteThey eventually get them...hope your family wasn't too traumatized. lol....
DeleteThat's just genius Betsy, a nice surprise for your cats when they sink their teeth in there!
ReplyDeletehaha...well, they are pretty smart! ;)
DeleteIt does look like a mouse at first glance!
ReplyDeleteWonder if they like the taste. My sister had a cat that used to like jalapeno cheese dip.
Not sure if they tasted it, but it looked like it had been batted around quite a bit!
DeleteIt would have me fooled.
ReplyDeleteIt did me bright and early in the morning with out my contacts in! haha.

ReplyDeleteYeah, they only did it once and it lay there a couple of days. Nobody wanted that toy anymore. ha.
