We went to see fireworks Sunday night down in the
center of our little village! We took blankets, snacks and met up
with Lauren, Taylor and Lauren's parents who were here for the
holiday weekend! It was a beautiful night!
Harry loves fireworks!
He takes his watching very seriously, too! ha.
And there's another thing crossed off my Summer Fun To Do List!
♥
I love your list...it has had some really fun things...On the contrary..my list has included going through all the old VCR movies, and give or toss. My dear friend Valerie, said she'd take all the old Disney ones. Yeah!!!
ReplyDeleteLove taking the family to Fire works...How Special!
That sounds like a spring cleaning list to me. ha. I have a list like that...but my spring cleaning takes me all year. lol....
DeleteOnly a few things left on my list...yay!
Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter...it was time to get that corner in our bedroom cleaned out! I can't even open the door all the way. I decided this morning when I could hardly see in the full length mirror for the stack of movies in front of it....IT WAS TIME!!!
DeleteCleaning projects hit me like that, too! I can walk by something for months and not think about it and then all of a sudden I'm done with it and it's dealt with that day. lol....
DeleteAwww love Harry's pure concentration! Take care
ReplyDeletex
He was like that the whole time! ha.
DeleteGreat pictures, Betsy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to spend some family time...
So glad the newlyweds were there as well!!!
That list of yours is getting shorter day by day!!
Cheers!
Linda :o)
Lots of fun...yep, the big kids were there! :)
DeleteGreat photos!
ReplyDeleteDo Alex and Spencer like fireworks, too?
Does summer end with Labor Day, or do you give yourself until the official end of summer to complete your list? Can't let the summer pass without s'mores!
Yes, they do like them, too...but Spencer seemed a little apathetic this year. haha. Alex is in the background of that photo of Harry....he smiled a lot. :)
DeleteI go with the official Sept 20th as the last day of summer! I think I'm the only one! lol...everyone is getting out pumpkins and talking about fall. Not yet, I say! haha. It's still summer for 3 more weeks. lol.....
Your fireworks really go all out
ReplyDeleteOurs just kinda fizzle about
Not worth ones time
For their chime
I kinda thought these were only a fizzle
Deleteother years they've been more than a drizzle.
But the boys still thought they were great
at any rate.
Guess the camera makes them grand
DeleteWhen really they come from fizzle land
Did you notice Alex with pringles there?
DeleteDid it make you miss them at your lair? ha.
Wow! Nice.
ReplyDeleteI am glad your boys enjoyed it.
thanks, lady...it was very fun!
DeleteBetsy I love Harry's face look happy!:)
ReplyDeleteyes, he was happy! :)
DeleteThat sounds like some great family time!
ReplyDeleteyep...we had fun!
DeleteI wondered if the boys would like them. Glad they enjoyed them. the colors are beautiful. I wonder what they imagined as they watched? Now it is time to turn to the fall events. Have fun.
ReplyDeletethanks....barry? :)
DeleteA fun family gathering.
ReplyDeleteYour fireworks photos are great - a hard thing to capture on camera.
I had a lot of photos that didn't turn out! I'd rather photograph the moon! ha.
Deleteoh fireworks are so mezmerising...i am glad that the boys like them....
ReplyDeleteyep...so nice to take them to something they really enjoy!
DeleteGlad he had some serious fun and the rest of y'all enjoyed it too!! ;) blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteserious fun...haha...that's a great way to put it! He does look serious...but he was having fun!

ReplyDeleteI love when a plan is completed, well, almost but real close.
I was worried that you won't find any fireworks, this late in the summer.
I am still laughing about your jumping elephant!
Oh, I knew we'd have fireworks on Labor Day! haha...it's a tradition here! I think I'll finish with days left to spare! Feeling pretty good with only three things to go!
DeleteI love that picture of Harry! He is concentrating so hard, but looks happy at the same time. :)
ReplyDeleteHe's doing some serious anticipation, isn't he? ha.
DeleteOh boys! Tell the little rascals i'm jealous. haha. You can read the wonder on Mr. H's face.
ReplyDeleteI've not been to a fireworks display in years. Hubby is not so much a fan and it usually rains around here if fireworks are even mentioned.
Loved the little story! There are still some really good people out there. And they were right about one thing. God does know who to give the most special kiddo's to. My aunt being one of them.

I love those stories of random acts of kindness. A few blogs had a challenge to do 30 acts in 30 days. It looked so fun, I just may have to join in next time!
DeleteMe too! I'm sure I miss many an opportunity to pass along a random act of kindness.
DeleteI remember once after my sister's hubby passed away she was having dinner alone. This man/stranger paid for her dinner and left her a little note which was handed to her by the waitress. The note read, The look of loneliness on your face broke my heart. I have paid your check. I don't know what has caused such sorrow, but in helping you I know it lighten my heart and I pray it does yours.
My sister kept this little note to remind herself that God is always watching. In a moment in time when she thought she was totally alone she wasn't. That meant so much to her.
Aw...now that made me cry! How very sweet.
DeleteLove the fireworks!
ReplyDeleteI am trying to decide if I should make my autumn list now or wait until summer is officially over. If I wait, autumn becomes entirely too short, but if I do it now I lose out on another couple weeks of summer. What to sacrifice? Oh, the decisions we must make!
:0)
I've thought of that. I'm going to wait til the official day, of course. Then that gives you until Dec 21st. If you cut fall off at Thanksgiving, then your winter will go until April. ha. I may have a shorter fall list that can be done by Thanksgiving but not post a winter list until January. How's that? :)
DeleteThat sounds like a fabulous idea. Perhaps a "pre-Christmas" list would be the thing.
DeleteYeah, because December is all about Christmas and there are plenty of winter things that can be done January through March. I did start writing down some fall ideas. I'm wishing my s'mores was on that list...now that I think of it, it seems more fallish.
DeleteSounds like a wonderful holiday celebration with precious family. I'm surprised you'd have fireworks this time of year, but that makes it even more special. Great photos!
ReplyDeleteCedarville has fireworks on Labor Day and a festival that lasts the entire weekend. Senator John Kyle, who founded Labor Day, was born here...so it's a big deal! No fireworks on July 4th...just Labor Day! :)
DeleteWhat fun! I never tire of watching fireworks.
ReplyDeleteHarry seems like he's having such a blast haha, love this Betsy!
