Another thing crossed off my Summer Fun To Do List!
A Sunday Afternoon drive.
If you want to know what southwestern Ohio looks like in the
summertime, here you go...
The views are typical for Ohio, but the temperatures certainly are not!
We're dipping into the 50's at night an reaching 70 during the day.
No humidity. Incredible.
We've started our third week of this and it is wonderful!
Makes for a perfect leisurely drive!
♥
I think Ohio is beautiful !
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful! :)
DeleteYes I believe you!
Deletemy new Country Living came today! I always think of you! x
DeleteLove the old barns. Looks like a beautiful day! We have had lower than normal tips here too. Almost seems like fall some evenings.
ReplyDeleteWe're never at a loss for old barns, are we? ha.
DeleteOh what a perfect drive, so post card beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMy dearest was born in Ohio..came to CA when he was 12.
It is beautiful...but every part of our country is in it's own way! Like I always say, but we don't have palm trees or mountains! ha.
DeleteOops... that's temps not tips. My phone likes to auto correct and doesn't like abbreviations : )
ReplyDeletehaha...I figured it out! :)
DeleteGorgeous views! Yes, it's the same with the temperature in Toronto.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving it....it's been wonderful!
DeleteSigh.... :)
ReplyDeleteI love Ohio in the summer. These pictures are just gorgeous.
We're having the same sort of weather in Michigan. It can stay like this!
I agree...it can stay! It's like September, one of my favorites! Even the sky and clouds are like fall!
DeleteI enjoyed seeing the views from your drive, Betsy! The 9-11 Memorial on the barn's silo is very touching.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to squeeze in a few more drives during this lovely weather!
DeleteI had no idea Ohio is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteyes, it is, in it's own way...lovely farmland!..at least where I live!
Deletebeautiful country! Great temps, its too cool here!
ReplyDeleteIt must be cool everywhere!

DeleteIt certainly looks a nice place to live, almost as good as the Mother Country! (not at the moment though, we are have lots of violent storms!)
ReplyDeletealmost...if I just had one of those adorable cottages with the thatched roof!
Deletebtw, Keith...LOVED the movie you recommended....watched it that night..thanks so much. :)
I meant Mr. Tom, of course, but the cat documentary was wonderful, too!
DeleteHi Betsy .. couldn't agree more .. I love driving through the countryside ... great to see SW Ohio - and then your weather is just right by the sound of it ..
ReplyDeleteCheers Hilary
I'm wondering how long this weather will last and if we'll pay for it later! ha.
DeleteBeautiful! It looks very much like NW PA. Our weather has been the same -- it really does feel a lot like September. I'm enjoying the cooler temps and low humidity but just hope winter doesn't come early as well!
ReplyDeleteI've wondered that...or that the heat will come in the fall. ha.
DeleteI love these photos Betsy! It reminds me of when I was in Ohio visiting Dayton, everywhere we were driving was filled with corn fields but they were beautiful cornfields. I actually had a discussion about Ohio recently with a lady who was born in America but now lives over here along similar lines, such a beautiful little state in general.
ReplyDeleteYou've been to Dayton? That's just 30 minutes from me! :)
DeleteYes Definitely looks like my corner of the world too...just a couple of hours north of you. Lovely Leisurely Sunday afternoon rides remind me of my parents...as it seemed we did that often growing up. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWe used to do that, too, when I was very young. Entertainment was more simple then. ha.
DeleteApart from the American Flag symbols, Southwestern Ohio is identical to Southwestern Ontario!
ReplyDeleteOf course I'm partial to the cow-shot, but I love the road stretching out beneath the dappled light of the trees.
Really? I didn't know that!
DeleteI love the farmland along with the barns, silos, cows, and corn. I've plenty of memories of driving through Ohio in late summer (on our way to Pensacola, FL usually). I love NY's farmland too. That's where Hannah and I were yesterday, but she was driving and there's not much stopping her.
ReplyDeleteSo do they look the same...Ohio and NY?
DeleteI can see much of that here
ReplyDeleteMost is around I fear
And no humidity is great as well
Sure we'll pay for it soon at our cell
Are you saying Nova Scotia looks like Ohio? :)
DeleteI'm losing my marbles. I was here already, wasn't I?
ReplyDeleteYeah, but repeats are welcome. Well, not repeating the same comment, but coming back again is ok! ha.
DeleteHome SWEET Home!!! I love our flat, country scenes. LOVE them.
ReplyDeleteme, too! :)
Deletelovely country views! We are also having wonderful weather in the Toronto area, unbelievabley nice.
ReplyDeleteSomeone else mentioned that...lots of people are enjoying this weather across a wide part of the entire north america, I think!
DeleteWOW! Perfect scenery. Perfect weather. Great day for a drive. Enjoyed seeing; would love to be enjoying those temps, too!! blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeletehot down there? ha.
DeleteI like the stand-alone shot of the house nestled in the trees.
ReplyDeleteyeah, I love that scene...I drive by it a lot and always look at it!
DeleteDid you go with The Mr? and the boys?
ReplyDeleteGreat photos...
Cheers!
Linda :o)

DeleteWell...
DeleteGood for you!
it looks like Wisconsin and I think it is BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeletetypical midwest, I think! :)
DeleteLooks a lot like western NY.
ReplyDeleteDon't we all just love summer?!
