- My regular readers know I have an ongoing love affair with the moon. And when he's just a crescent, I'm head over heels. ha. Here he is last night, above my home. You can even see his nose in his profile! I'm thankful for a cloudless night so I could take his portrait.
- For the smell of butterscotch banana bread wafting through the house...recipe coming soon!
- Thankful that when someone breaks your heart, another is sent along to heal it.
- Spencer's contagious laughter this morning.
- Garden veggies... on the vine one minute and on your dinner plate the next.
- The married 'big kids' coming over for dinner on Wednesdays.
- Waking up to coffee brewing on my bedside table. Best alarm clock ever! You don't do this? What's wrong with you? ha.
- An amazing summer with enough rain to keep things lush and green and plenty of days cool enough to have the windows open.
- God laying out plans before me that are clearly better than the plan I had in my head.
- Online summer clearance sales. $10 dresses? Yes, please!
♥
OK...I'll take 9 out of 10 from your list.
ReplyDeleteI'd say that's a pretty good percentage! :)

Deletebanana bread for breakfast...yum! Toasted with butter!
DeleteAww Gloria, is it that bad? :) Hope you have a good day--you too Betsy!
DeleteI think she's teasing us! Her list probably says things like watch TV, eat cupcakes, take a nap, lay around, leave the dishes in the sink...you know...Gloria..she's SO lazy. hahahaha. :)
Deleteyou have to makes smores (your list) I love them!
ReplyDeleteI know! I need to do that! I want to make a fire in the back yard and have the boys try it.

Ha! I love s'mores:)
DeleteI didn't know the man in the moon was so handsome. What a great shot.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a coffee pot by my bed, but after 14 days without it I do get a cup tomorrow morning. Phase 1 of the Fat Flush is over and in Phase two I can add limited coffee (one cup a day) carbs and dairy. I've missed my yogurt, but not complaining about 9 pounds.
9 lbs...wow...good for you! One cup of coffee is probably all your body will be able to take after that! ha. You'll be buzzing around like a bee! :) ...a skinny bee at that! haha.
DeleteI knew the coffee one
ReplyDeleteAs you gave that a run
One alarm clock you won't want to break
Or chuck in a lake
Lots to be thankful for indeed
There at your feed
You could make a list
Deleteabout what gives you bliss
like a new home for you
and your little zoo.
ha.
Gives a little bliss
DeleteThe new home and the kitty hiss
But with a broken butt
Bliss isn't high at my hut lol
I feel sorry for you and your behind
Deleteso to you I'll be kind. ha.
Your list reminds me of a book I read once... :)
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for smiling frogs on my shower curtain, a bottle of Nivea "Touch of Happiness" body wash, and a brightly painted bookcase and small table in my upstairs bathroom. Even three and a half years later I am grateful for the remodeling job my husband did in both our baths. They're still making me smile.
I am thankful too for moonlit nights, and skies full of stars. Now I need to plan that camp out I talked about.
I really should have kept a list and maybe I'd be at 1000!
DeleteNow you just can't wash with 'touch of happiness' and not feel happy..that's what I'm thinking! :)
yep...you need to go camping and I need to make s'mores! :)
Beautiful moon! Feeling extremely grateful myself tonight. So agree with number 3 & 9 on your list : )

ReplyDeleteisn't that fun? And you know I'm loving that...
DeleteOh, that is magnificent! I have a love affair with the moon too... could we share? I have always found it interesting that the moon is feminine but the man in the moon... not! Either way, she/he is incredible and your photo is amazing, Betsy. "The crescent moon symbolises new beginnings and the making of dreams into reality." How lovely.

And to already be starting a weekly dinner session is a special thing to do since I am sure everyone will be looking forward to the visit. How are the newly weds doing? Are they getting everything decorated?
