Australian Strawberry Licorice

So, I've been asking where this has been
my whole life and thinking good bye to Twizzlers!

  3. Never heard of it but I'll be sure to watch for it and try it when I find some! Really hard to beat the fresh Twizzlers purchased directly at Hershey's Chocolate World. They are much softer than the ones on the grocery store shelves. Yum!

    1. we thought about going to Hershey Park when we were there last month, but our boys don't eat any of that so we didn't think they would enjoy it. Too bad! ha. A fresh Twizzler...sounds pretty tasty!

      Never would have guessed.

    2. I don't really think he does.
It's full of dye and chemicals.
      He doesn't eat anything fun
not even a hot dog bun.
      hahahaha.

    1. Twizzlers have an addictive quality...but you must try this...so much better!

  7. We have it here. It comes in a two foot length coiled up in a plastic bag. The idea is that you straighten it out and start chewing at one end and finish at t'other end without stopping! It comes in a variety of flavours, but I prefer the liquorice flavour!

    What are Twizzlers?

    1. I would have no trouble eating a two foot coil! :) Twizzler is a brand of red licorice....what most of us here in the states know as the only licorice! ha.

So, are your teeth and lips black after eating two feet in one sitting?

  8. I don't know what Twizzlers are Betsy but I've never been a big fan of plain licorice, I want to give strawberry a try though! I'll also look into trying Twizzlers too! :P

    More fruity taste?
Just curious...I do prefer strawberry to black...

    Cheers!

  13. Not a huge fan of black licorice but I don't mind red. Must see if we have the Aussie one up here! We have stores here called Sugar Mountain and they carry everything under the sun, including the candy we used to eat as kids. Remember Lik-m-aid, wax lips, candy necklaces, sweet hearts? Am I dating myself? :-)

    1. I remember! Boy, did I love those candy necklaces! How about bubble gum cigars? :)

    2. I don't remember those... maybe only in the U.S.? I do remember these big square-ish wads of chewing gum that produced the most gigantic pink bubbles. But your mouth was absolutely stuffed with gum! I also remember the little black licorice pipes that had red dots of candy on the rim of the pipe to make it look like it was lit. Ha!

    3. Hey - look what I just found! Not only does it have the Australian strawberry licorice... but it has the little pipe I was talking about... and about another hundred types of licorice. Apple? Hmmmmm... http://www.ohsugar.ca/licorice.html

    4. we didn't have the pipes...only cigars! LOL! I'll look at that link tonight after the auction...looks fun. Can't believe they still make some of that stuff!

  15. Why can't Twizzlers or anyone else make this stuff in ORANGE flavor? I don't ask for much but come on! :D

I found one little place in Ellijay,GA whilst travelling over to son's lake house that happen to carry an off brand in orange. Last time I was there was told they can't get them anymore. :(
I'm just not a strawberry/cherry kind of girl.

    Have a great weekend! JaG

    2. You would get a long with my boys. The only sweet they like are Tootsie Pops...they eat all the colors except orange! haha.

    3. Checking that out Suza! Thanks!

I would get along with your boys famously and you would end up adopting us all out :). I don't like Tootsie Pops, but I love the old commercials. The Owl says, How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? 1,2,3...thrrreee.
I don't like hard candy at all. I like one midget Tootsie Roll on occasion though. I'm way to picky for my own good.

    4. Suza...Just ordered 4-lbs of the Kenny's Orange. Hope they are good. Will be sharing with my sister as she loves the Orange flavor too. Thanks again.

  16. You got me at Licorice!
So this new flavor is a must.

(Not a fan of Twizzlers at all.)

  17. I am glad you like it so much but don't worry, I will never try to take it from you. I don't like licorice or twizzlers or any candy even remotely like them. I'll have some milk chocolate or maple nut goodies or maybe lemon drops.

    1. oh, funny...and I'd never eat a maple anything. We'd get along great in a candy shop...no fighting over flavors at all! :)
