Delicious!! I love smoothies Betsy!:)
I hadn't made a smoothie in years! My blender was way in the back of the cupboard and I forgot about it! ha.
I use a lot my blender Betsy! Love the color!
I beat Pat LOL!!
why yes you did! Where is that cat!?
Pfffft to youchoke a blueberry at your zoo lol j/k
He's is so bad!
Not only does it sound delicious...it's such a pretty color. OK, I'm dragging out my blender!!! BTW A large Sour Cream I got at Costco got frozen by accident. When it defrosted, it grainy and runny...any advice? Ever have that happen?
That's one thing I loved about it...that beautiful color and intense berry flavor. yum! I just told the Mister that I don't think I'd had my blender out in 6-7 years! That's how my yogurt is when I freeze it. It tastes fine but the boys won't eat it looking like that. ha. It made great smoothies. I bet you can still bake with it...coffee cake or even stir it into mashed potatoes... If you put it in the blender it would still made good salad dressing or dip, too, I bet. Let me know what happens!
I think like you Betsy , Sour cream is nice to cakes or others desserts, like a buttermilk or Yogurt! Wanda tell us what you dinally make!
That kinda what I thought. I put hid it under the butter on a baked potato for Don and he didn't seem to mind. TeeHee. Yes, I'll try it in baking, and salad dressing, etc. I've never tried to freeze yogurt.. I'll remember that. Thanks Betsy.
hid it under the butter...haha....
Thanks Gloria...Think I'll make that Cinnamon Sour Cream coffee cake tomorrow.
Any one of these ideas sounds really good to me right now!
Looks luscious! Could use one (or three) of those right now. So very hot and humid here too... and yet last week was beautiful! Clearly Mother Nature did not receive my request for this week.
Same here...lovely last week toward the end of the week! I work an auction outside tomorrow. Not looking forward to that! ugh!
A berry I may eatbut not a smoothie treatIf you can't chewDoesn't go in the mouth at my zooyes humid indeedGlad i got the a/c at my feed
are you in the new place already? How nice to have inside air cool and steady!
Nope not there yetJust using it at the old one you can bet
You're confusing meI thought you didn't have it at your sea!
Lovely way to stay cool!!Mary x
I thought it was lovely, too! Especially the color!
My daughter has been making these. She loves them!
Isn't it fun when they can make things for themselves! :)
I had no idea you could freeze yogurt or sour cream. That drink is beautiful and I know taste beautiful too. :)
It was delish...the first of many I'm thinking!
yep, that's the goal! :) thanks for visiting. :)
That's a great looking photo. I had a smoothie this morning with some yogurt coming near its expiration point. I had no idea you could freeze yogurt or sour cream. Thanks for the tip.
well, it doesn't stay thick and smooth, but you can still cook with it!
Must say ... this is timely. Carl spent hours in the oral surgeon's office today. Procedure began about 10am .. we left around 3:30. Six titanium implants placed in the jaw where he is missing teeth, his sinuses 'elevated' also ... kind of wobbly for a while, much improved now. Pain meds and ice packs are helping. He will live on shakes like yours for a few days. Blended soups too ........ so glad the worst part is behind him.
see you had me at raspberry and blue berry...you could have said berry and i would be fine....mmmmmmmm....it looks delish...
haha...yeah, I know you! :)
POW! Now that's a drink!!
Oh, it was so good! Why have I not done this before? ha.
I think I'll make one tomorrow...I have berries in the freezer also...Blueberries are quite cheap right now..Try and stay cool tomorrow...supposed to be near 100*degrees!!!Had a lovely swim this evening! ha!Cheers!Linda :o)
it's going to be AWFUL at that auction tomorrow! I already have bottles of water in the freezer to pack up in the morning!
Delicious and nutritious! We just bought a smoothie maker and they are perfect for this hot muggy weather. Raspberry is my favorite.
a smoothie maker? I'm intrigued! How is that different from a blender?
It just has settings for smoothies, milk shakes and frozen drinks like marguerites. It doesn't chop or purée.
Well, that sounds fun! Especially in the summer!
I love smoothies. You should try the "ice cream" made with frozen bananas if you haven't already!
Hmmm...that sounds interesting! What else do you add to the bananas?
ha... here...I'll serve you a glass! :)
Hi Betsy .. looks delicious ... I've been enjoying the raspberry season .. too good to miss - but the strawberries are meant to be really delicious this year - I'll get to the farm shop this week .. Cheers Hilary
I have extra strawberries...I'll have to try that kind next!
This looks simply divine Betsy and just perfect for the hot weather you guys are currently going through, looks amazing!
oh yeah...it's hot here! A smoothie would melt in one minute. ha.
YUM! And so pretty, too!
I know...I loved the way it looked..made it pose for a photo shoot. :)
yum yum, hard to go wrong with this! Which reminds me of the ripe blackberries in the garden that need picking :)
I have some in the freezer....I'll have to add that to my flavor list. ha.
Mmmm...yum. I wish I could have a sip.
Me, too! Wouldn't that be fun! I'd love to have one with you!
Timely post ... Carl came through the six-tooth implant procedure yesterday .. now the waiting for months and months begins as the posts are surrounded by strong bone. Shakes are his diet this week ... fruit, soup, and anything else we can dream up. Oh, and oatmeal for breakfast.
Oh, that sounds painful! hope he's on the mend soon!
Been doing the smoothie dance for months. Adding the most horrible stuff to at least get something healthy in my system during the day. I really hate them, but i'm drinking them anyway. The worst part for me is washing the blender. Now is that lazy or what? btw...I love reading your side bar of what's going on today and what's for dinner. Me? So far today i've did one load of laundry and then sat on my big ol' backside to read blogs. Hope you find something wonderful in the trash at the auction!Jake's a Girl
Oh, I'm not adding any horrible healthy stuff to mine...just lovely healthy stuff! haha.
It looks good, but with my current health situation, maybe I should get a cranberry smoothie!
I think that could be done! :)
A favourite of mine. I love them for breakfast.
yum.....I wonder if I could make a coffee one? :)
Your smoothie is so pretty...not many blueberries in it huh? I keep frozen fruit on hand and yogurt all the time as we enjoy smoothies atleast 2 times a week. YUM! So perfect for this hot weather huh? I know you are all hyped and excited about your big weekend ahead. Sure thinking about you and praying all goes well and for safe travels too.
yes, we're getting excited!!!
nom nom two of my fave berries :) My motto is a smoothie a day keeps the doctor away. But since I'm alergic to milk I make them with mineral water. Just drunk my banana, appricot, honey and lemon smoothie after lunch.
I'm serving coffee! Stay and chat! And no awards, please! Your comments are my awards!
