One of the things on my Summer Fun To Do List was to try a
new kind of fruit! So last week I picked up a Golden Kiss Melon
at Sam's Club. The sticker said it was from the Sandstone Melon Co.
It was super sweet, firm and delicious!
It has a really intense melon taste that leaves the regular old
common cantaloupe seeming kind of blah! ha.
Not only did I find another favorite fruit, I get to cross another
fun thing off my list! If you find any Golden Kiss Melons,
I highly recommend them!
Last year I tried a Honey Kiss, and they were really good, too!
Have you painted your toe nails yet?
Pedi party is in 6 days!
♥
This looks just like a yummy cantaloupe!
ReplyDeleteYep...same taste but instense, super sweet and really just amazing@

ReplyDeletebeen eating peaches the last 2 days...and cherries....fresh off the tree...
our neighbors were picking their cherries over the weekend! Made me miss my cherry tree!
DeleteHi Betsy .. I love those really sweet melons - and that one looks extra delicious.
ReplyDeletePainting nails - yes, but have a friend here and they're dull red! But as I was looking at the post then reading I wondered about painting the skin of the melon, or using it as a 'stamp' ... could provide an interesting background ... then I saw your toenail reminder!
Cheers and have some happy summer days ahead .. Hilary
I agree that pattern on the melon rind is very artsy! :)
DeleteOh Betsy this sounds just amazing! I love the idea of trying a new fruit and I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed this one! I have a weird relationship with melons, sometimes I love them and then I'll get a different one and find it a little bland but this sounds like it'd slot nicely into my "love" category, sounds awesome!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if you can find this kind in Ireland?
DeleteGolden Kiss Melons.... That's quite a name. Golden kiss melons... I've kissed melonds before but they were never, you know, golden ;) Sorry, I just couldn't resist. That's exactly why I shouldn't paint my toe nails.
ReplyDeleteHope you're doing fine.
I should have expected this from you....lol....
DeleteNever heard of it
ReplyDeleteHere at my pit
But I will take your word
As I continue to flip food the bird haha
You wouldn't flip this!
DeleteYour mouth would think it was bliss!
ha.
Fancy looking melon. Never heard of it. Ha.
ReplyDeleteIs it fancy looking? It looks like a plain ol' melon to me!
DeleteWell, it's probably just cuz I've never studied a melon close up like that. :)
DeleteHmmm...I'll have to look for this melon. Sounds so delicious!
ReplyDeleteHope you find one! Yum!
