The Very Best Hand Cream

.....really isn't for your hands!

I have always had a terrible time with dry, winter skin...especially
my hands!  I've tried every product out there and still didn't find
complete relief.  Well, this is it!

Sally Hansen Cracked Heel Repair Cream.

I had originally bought this for Spencer, who had
one cracking heel.  When we got that repaired,
the tube sat in my makeup drawer and when I
cleaned that out the other week, I decided to
use it myself instead of having it go to waste!

I was rubbing it on my feet before I went to bed and
rubbing the excess into my hands when I was finished.
The result?  My hands are as healthy as if it was summer!

Another thing that is meant for your feet but I use on my hands
is a foot file...you know..the one that is meant to smooth out your
rough heels?  Well, I used it on my fingertips to remove those
dry little pieces that snag on everything.

And guys, this doesn't smell girlie, so you can use it, too!

P.S.  And before anyone asks, (because someone always does)
I take a supplement for my nails called Biotin.
I take 15 mgs daily.  It gives you thick, strong nails,...
something I never had before!  So, there you go! :)

I don't usually give beauty tips, but here are three all in
one post.  Ha..but maybe they are really winter survival tips!

*********

Well, what was your favorite Super Bowl commercial?

This was mine. :)

    1. I think doing dishes and having your hands in water is the worst thing for them! Mine get so chapped, cracked and sore! I hope you can find this...it really is the very best thing I've ever used on my hands!

gardening is hard on your nails! Sigh!

  3. One of the things I have to take along with my cancer meds is Calcium, Magn. and Vit. D. I get the blend at Trader Joes, and I've noticed my nails are much better now.

Oh wasn't that the sweetest commercial. The other one I liked was Paul Harvey ~God created a farmer.

  7. I'll have to look for this heal cream for my wife.. she's always complaining of dry hands in the winter.

I missed some of the best commercials so I'm getting caught up now. Love this one for Bud, and the Paul Harvey one, too.

  10. Thank you for the hand cream tip. Mine are falling apart lately. I typically use Palmer's Cocoa Butter Lotion. It's the best I've found so far.

My favorite commercial, though I was really listening more than watching, is a tie between the horse commercial (or was that Budweiser?) and The Farmer one. Loved them both.

    1. I hope this cream works for you, too. I really think it's not only dry cold air, but our hands being in water a lot with dishes, cooking, etc. I was amazed at how well this worked! I've only been using it a week, but I could tell a huge difference the first morning!

both of those commercials were really great....

  11. Great tip, Betsy...your nails look like acrylic...very nice!!!
I agree about always being in water...I am very guilty of that...
I try to put cream on often...using Aveeno right now...but we have Sally Hansen products at home...
Shall give it a try....those supplements really make your nails look fantastic!!!
thanks for the comment about the nasty commentors...I don't get the reasoning behind that...
It is like they are mocking me....making fun of me...
I guess they just don't understand why people blog...oh well...
Tomorrow is another day...and I got to talk to Vivian...so I am happy!!

    Cheers!

    1. yeah, that biotin is great. I used to have really thin nails that constantly split and never grew.
It's good for your hair and skin, too.

I had an exceptionally mean commenter about a year ago...not annonymous, though...just very sarcastic and rude. She finally left, thank goodness.

I'm sure talking to Vivian was the highlight of your day!

      I'm loving your Florida posts!

  13. My podiatrist recommended biotin for nails so I'm with you there. I looked at the pic of the cracked heel cream cuz I need a good hand cream for winter, but I am allergic to aloe so that one won't do. ;-(

  15. I have to admit I am tempted. I too suffer from cracked heels and something that would cure that problem and make me beautiful is worth importing across the Atlantic.
