Bacon, Onion and Mushroom Burger

Super Bowl Burger

extra lean beef, Hawaiian Bread bun,
topped with bacon, onions and mushrooms, sauteed
with garlic in olive oil.

Yum.

I don't really care about the game.
It's really all about the food and the commercials,
isn't it?

    1. I would save some bacon just for you
and the rest hide from view.
Haven't seen a good commercial yet
but Beyonce was good, I guess. :)

  3. I made salad, pizza, and wings. They somehow figured out how to get reception for CBS... actually, it was Josiah who did it. He should be their hero for a while now. Maybe we can be co-heros. :)

  4. YUM! You're fight. The "game" is boring.

I published a flourless chocolate decadence cake recipe for Theme Thursday today. Yes, I'm late. You might try it, Bets. It's from Joy of Cooking and I've been making it 15 years and it's wonderful.

  7. That burger does look delicious!! I love those sweet Hawaiian buns. We watched the game on the "wall" in our Social Hall at Church (really big) I must say I'm a HUGE football fan, and love watching every team. Love watching quarterbacks..and 49's qb, Collin Kapernick, is from my home town where I was born and raised till I went to college at 18. It was fun to watch it with our friends from Church. We had hot dogs, chili, BBQ meatballs, chips, dips ~ desserts..it was a good day. I'm tired from rooting!! Think I'll hit the sack early tonight!!!

    1. Oh, that sounds like fun! I like watching with a crowd. In years past, Taylor has invited quite a large group of friends! This year it was just us and Lauren, which was nice, too. :) I'm guessing you were hoping for a 49's win...and it almost happened!

  8. Are you kidding? I just salivated all over my keyboard! Yes, it's all about the food, I believe. You just proved it. Now I think I have to make these!

    1. I hope you can find them over there...they are a little sweet and moist. The big round loaves of bread are good, too!

  10. My spelling is really bad... the reason I deleted my previous comment. Here's goes! I wasn't really into the game either; however it is nice when the underdog struts its stuff! Your burger, I'm sure, tastes as good as it looks. You should be a commercial artists! xo

    1. yes, a close game is usually much more fun to watch than a blowout. And I think that power outage helped the 49's!

  12. I did not even remember that today was the day of the game. So I guess I would totally be about the food and if I really watched commercials then I might pay attention to them. Gotta love that DVR.

    Hope you are keeping warm.

    God bless.

  13. That Super Bowl Burger looks 'fantastic' Betsy. It wouldn't last 5 seconds if I had anything to do with it!! LOL
I just love to wade it cholesterol on occasions. Have you sen our Great British Breakfast? Baked Beans, Sausages, Rashers of Bacon, Mushrooms, Fried Bread with Mar-mite spread on sometimes, fried potatoes (sometimes chips), Black Pudding (a type of faggot) - all with brown sauce sprinkled. Now how about that for a self indulgent nosh up!! ROFL. Don't have too many Betsy, you might begin to change shapes rapidly!! ROFL

    1. Omg! What is that called? The Heart Attack Platter? hahaha. It's fun to indulge once in a while, isn't it? How come the food that is bad for us tastes so good? Sigh. :)

and no worries...one was plenty for me. I don't want to start changing shapes! hahaha oh dear....
