Pinterest Amusement

First off, let me say that I love Pinterest.
I've pinned some great ideas, recipes and have
been inspired in so many ways!
Having said that, have you ever been browsing along
and saw something everyone was raving about and
thought, "Um, no.  No, no, no."??

Things like this over-powering cowl, that looks like a bath towel....

or maybe this fishbowl ring....

or a foot tattoo...maybe a fresh
pedicure would have been a better choice?

Or even peacock eye make up.
Um, no...no, no.  lol....

You can leave comments, and I have been
tempted to leave a simple "Ew!"  But that probably
wouldn't be too nice.  So, I'll just say here that
some things have not been pinned by me to do later. :)

as it gives your face a smiling glow.

  14. Hi Betsy,

Oh my, these are too funny. I do not seem to see these things on Pinterest but I know there are a lot of different places to go. I at first was not sure why I was starting to get so many followers, I think I am getting close to 6,000 followers, but after seeing these pins I am thinking I understand why they like my pins. My pins must be pretty normal fare for most people and usually ones of which there is something to learn. I have learned that pinning is so, so, much easier with my iPad and I can pin to my hearts content while listening to the news. And I love to follow others to see what they find.

I did find a picture of a bird that looks almost exactly like your red Mr. Cardinal and pinned him on my Critters board and I have pinned some of your birds and cats on there too. But my favorite pins are of recipes even though I know I may never use most of them but at least I know they are there if I decide to use them. The ones I have, have been pretty good. I want to use the Nutella recipes but with injuring my right shoulder put a stop to my doing much. I can only type if I only move my hand and not my shoulder. That is why pinning is so easy, I can use my left hand to do it.

Anyway I am going to have to explore some more areas on Pinterest and see what I am missing. Oh and I do write short comments, and say ewwwww on some of them. I read somewhere that people love any comments about what they pin. Try it, it is a lot of fun to add my two cents in a few words. I do see ewwww written a lot. Lol

    God bless.

    1. If I am only looking at who I follow, I don't see too many weird things. But if you click on 'everything' you'll get some! :) 6000 followers? Wow! Good for you! They must really like your stuff! You do have some great boards! I've never seen Eww anywhere! I guess people are being polite.

      hope your shoulder gets better....

    1. Oh, that poor kitty! She was in a fight of some kind and came here with some bites...which have healed quite nicely. But the last few days she's not been able to eat...think she has a tooth hurt. I actually cancelled her appointment this morning when she seemed better today and lapped down some water and chicken broth (wasn't drinking before) so I thought she had turned a corner. But this afternoon she still wants to eat but can't...so she goes to get checked tomorrow (Friday). Hope it's something easily fixed!

  16. That fishbowl, does it carry real fish? :-) I think the fish ought to be consulted.

  17. When your blog opened up and I saw the bath towel scarf, I thought, "Wow, Betsy, that doesn't seem like you". Then I kept reading. Ew, is right. I was watching American Idol last night and thought some of the girls make up was, well, Ew, too. Sometimes less is definitely more!

  22. Hmmmmm... I love Pinterest too, Betsy. Time flies when I am there! I have some things pinned on my pages that I am sure people might think twice about, but it's fun to post exotic or just plain crazy things from time to time. I agree the cowl looks odd... the tattoo I don't mind but the nails do detract, the ring is cool (I want one!) and the make-up is fun. Not that I would wear it... but I love the artistic expression. Am I nuts? Maybe... but here's to a little nuttiness!

    Hug!

  23. Oh - if you will indulge one little story which this post reminded me of - in my much-younger days I travelled a lot to New York. I was out one night with some girlfriends at a disco (yes, I am old!) and we were all dancing and the woman beside me had HIGH high heels on and the heel part was wide and clear and swimming in the heels were goldfish! I kid you not!

  25. I think I am going to try to do some of that peacock eye makeup right this second.
    Or NOT : )
I think the ring is the cutest thing I have ever seen though. I want one!
