A Little Valentine Decor

To celebrate the first of February, I took down the
New Years things and put up some Valentines!
I have a little collection of vintage postcards
that went on my wire holder, along with some
pink glass birds with feather tails.

And a heart shaped wreath got dressed up with pine cones
ribbon and a sweet red bird.

What did you do on this frosty February Friday?
We had a school delay with sub-zero temps.
Quite the breezy, icy day!
I ran errands and was really thankful for
heated seats in the jeep.
Brrr!

  1. And now I wait for Pat
who said he'd tease me in no time flat
if I tried to celebrate Valentine's Day,
the holiday which causes him much dismay.
    haha.

    1. Oh you want a tease
While maybe valentines day is celebrated by fleas
Then they give you a heart
      At your cart
      That will turn red too
And you could be a walking valentine at your zoo hahahaha

  5. Quite the display
    Here at your bay
As you go the pfffting valentine's way
Which is such a commercial fray
    And what I did today
Was give Orlin a bath at that other bay
    As the dumb cat
Went and rolled on a mat
Which he usually does out here
Guess he likes the feel of it on his rear
    But anyway
Unknowing to all on this cold day
The weiner mutt thought it was too cold
    So he got bold
Had a pee on the mat
Which was rolled in by the cat
Was not a happy camper to get ducked in up to his head
Now he is giving me a dirty look as he sits on the bed hahahahahahaha
    Rolling in dog pee
Who knew it brought him glee

    1. Oh, poor Orlin! Remember when Socks was a kitten and was covered in wet paint? Baths they do not like, but he was pretty good...I think he knew the paint had to come off. Better than dog pee, I will have to say. No wonder he's giving you the evil eye at nanny's bay! ha.

    2. Oh no! Poor Orlin! Remember when Socks came home covered in wet paint? He was just a kitten. But he was really good for getting a full bath...I think he knew the paint had to come off! Better than dog pee, I will say....very fun time's at nanny's bay! lol.... No wonder you're getting the evil eye! And isn't it funny to see how skinny they are without all the fluffy fur? ha.

    3. haha yeah they get awfully skinny indeed
But then he doesn't have much hair at our feed
He likes water fine when he's not forced in
Especially up to his head at this bin haha

  10. I, too, got a little bit festive for Valentine's Day...hung my Snoopy Valentine flag near the front porch and stuck a some glittery hearts into the ivy wreath on the front door. Then I took a trip to Target and bought valentines for all the kiddies in the family. Like Brian, I really like your new header.

  11. Hi Betsy,

I like the vintage cards and think they are interesting. It is so nice to see things from the past and that they are still useful. The birds are so cute and the wreath is definitely full of Valentine's cheer.

So nice to hear you like all of my Pinterest boards. I find it very calming to visit there. So many things to try and so far the recipes I have tried have been pretty good. Thanks for following them.

    God bless.

I think you will find it quite therapeutic and fun. If you do, please post some pictures of yours. I love to see what inspires other people.
