To celebrate the first of February, I took down the
New Years things and put up some Valentines!
I have a little collection of vintage postcards
that went on my wire holder, along with some
pink glass birds with feather tails.
And a heart shaped wreath got dressed up with pine cones
ribbon and a sweet red bird.
What did you do on this frosty February Friday?
We had a school delay with sub-zero temps.
Quite the breezy, icy day!
I ran errands and was really thankful for
heated seats in the jeep.
Brrr!
♥
look lovely Betsy!
ReplyDeleteAnd now I wait for Pat
ReplyDeletewho said he'd tease me in no time flat
if I tried to celebrate Valentine's Day,
the holiday which causes him much dismay.
haha.
Oh you want a tease
DeleteWhile maybe valentines day is celebrated by fleas
Then they give you a heart
At your cart
That will turn red too
And you could be a walking valentine at your zoo hahahaha
you mean a heart shaped bite?
Deleteonly you have experienced that plight!
haha.
haha yours will be scene
DeleteMine was in a place that was obscene haha
seen, says your editor. ha.
DeleteTake that Pat Im first:)))
ReplyDeletePfft to you
DeleteI was doing something eww hahaha
He doesnt like valentine?
ReplyDeleteHe said he hates it!
DeleteBut I think he just needs a girl
to make his heart swirl.
haha.
Yes I think so, but he need and special and sweet girl LOL
Deletehaha....can't wait to see what he says about that!
DeleteOh, yeah, she'd have to be special alright :)
But he is handsome and sweet
and clean and neat
and smart and funny!
Anyone would like to call him honey.
hahaha.
haha too bad
DeleteOnly nuts are found at my pad
I would buy into the day for the right one
But I still would hate it under my sun haha
there are plenty of girls as crazy as you
Deletethe right one just hasn't found you.
She's probably hold up in her home
worrying that germs will make themselves known.
:)
LMAO yeah those germs can scare
DeleteNice to have a germ free lair
some day you'll find her
Deleteshe'll be wiping off a door knob there
with a clorox wipe,
the germs to snipe.
I love your glass jar with candies, I dont have any of Valentine, normally I make some recipe, maybe the next week I dont know.
ReplyDeletethank you. I got that at the auctions...not the trash, but I actually bid on that! and only M & M's. I'll probably make something special on the 14th.
Deleteyes I have some recipes but Im not sure still:)
DeleteMaybe something with hearts LOL what original!! haha
haha...yes, heart are perfect! How ever did you think of that! lol...
DeleteI've never made truffles before and The Mister loves them, so I think I'll make those. I pinned a few other ideas on pinterest. Chocolate covered strawberries are always nice, too!
Yes I love strawberries Betsy!!
DeleteTaylor loves chocolate covered ones. And they are easy to make, too but so pretty!
Deleteoh MY you are there heard what we talk with betsy LOL
ReplyDeleteQuite the display
ReplyDeleteHere at your bay
As you go the pfffting valentine's way
Which is such a commercial fray
And what I did today
Was give Orlin a bath at that other bay
As the dumb cat
Went and rolled on a mat
Which he usually does out here
Guess he likes the feel of it on his rear
But anyway
Unknowing to all on this cold day
The weiner mutt thought it was too cold
So he got bold
Had a pee on the mat
Which was rolled in by the cat
Was not a happy camper to get ducked in up to his head
Now he is giving me a dirty look as he sits on the bed hahahahahahaha
Rolling in dog pee
Who knew it brought him glee
oh!
DeleteOh, poor Orlin! Remember when Socks was a kitten and was covered in wet paint? Baths they do not like, but he was pretty good...I think he knew the paint had to come off. Better than dog pee, I will have to say. No wonder he's giving you the evil eye at nanny's bay! ha.
DeleteOh no! Poor Orlin! Remember when Socks came home covered in wet paint? He was just a kitten. But he was really good for getting a full bath...I think he knew the paint had to come off! Better than dog pee, I will say....very fun time's at nanny's bay! lol.... No wonder you're getting the evil eye! And isn't it funny to see how skinny they are without all the fluffy fur? ha.
Deletehaha yeah they get awfully skinny indeed
DeleteBut then he doesn't have much hair at our feed
He likes water fine when he's not forced in
Especially up to his head at this bin haha
did you take a picture
Deletewould make us all snicker
if you were to make a post
by the you the host
No, didn't have enough hands to do so
DeleteAs he didn't want to stay still to show
This looks really great! These are amazing designs.

Then I took a trip to Target and bought valentines for all the kiddies in the family. Like Brian, I really like your new header.
ReplyDeleteHi Betsy,
ReplyDeleteI like the vintage cards and think they are interesting. It is so nice to see things from the past and that they are still useful. The birds are so cute and the wreath is definitely full of Valentine's cheer.
So nice to hear you like all of my Pinterest boards. I find it very calming to visit there. So many things to try and so far the recipes I have tried have been pretty good. Thanks for following them.
God bless.
Arrived at our sunny destination....got some groceries...unpacked...had a cold beer...first walk on the beach...sat on our deck and took pics of the sunset...fantastic!!
ReplyDeleteI like the wreath...I hung a jute string of red wooden hearts on my front door at home :o)
