Pillow Talk

I had a throw pillow with sticky fingerprints on it and threw the
slip cover into the wash.  I thought the pillow smelled a little
stale, so I threw it into the washer, too.
A short cycle on 'gentle' shouldn't hurt it.
ha.  I came back to a washer full of shredded stuffing! LOL!

It was fluffy and clean so I let it dry there over night.
This morning, it was fresh and really to be put back
into the pillow.  Now I just need to stitch up the hole
that evidently ripped open during the washing!.  Sigh.  :)
But I can say it's been cleaned inside and out! haha.
Maybe a bit of spring cleaning done a little early!

  7. OMG!! That happened to me. But it was a down queen sized pillow. Man there were feathers everywhere.
I did the same thing and let them dry and then the next day made a throw cushion.

  8. How I wish I had taken of picture of my washing machine after I washed a Koosh pillow. Actually, I had washed three at once, and it wasn't the first time. It was just the first time I was literally afraid I had ruined my washing machine. I didn't want any photo evidence of the crime to help incriminate me. I vacuumed miniscule Styrofoam pellets out of my washer for days.

  18. OK, one day my neighbor came over and was laughing so hard she could barely form sentences. Apparently the pillow I had put into the dryer after I had washed it had exploded and feathers were flying out all over the lawn from the dryer vent. Buster was covered with them when he came in. LOL (o:

  20. Hi Betsy,

I hope you are all having a nice dinner. I think most of us have had a pillow disaster in our washing machines. I think feathers kept showing up in the clothes for a few weeks. Regular stuffing might not have been so bad. You are the pillow superhero with such a calm reaction.

    God bless.

  21. Betsy, this post made me giggle big time, hihi.;) I have just started a gentle cycle with a dark and white sweater, hoping the dark has been washed enough time by hand so it would not stain. And shrink.;) (It is hand wash only;) So we will see what will greet me in a about 20 minutes.;)
Sorry for my absence, have been living my life am still amazed how in the world you manage 5 men and blogging.;)
    Have a great Sunday,
