That is a beautiful picture. Love it. I was surprised to read that you say Autumn is almost over. We have just finally cooled down to the mid 70's and it still hasn't even gotten cold enough to turn on the heater. Although I think they are expecting some rain today on Wednesday and then on Thursday we go back up into the mid 80's to low 90's. At least though in the evenings it has been cooling down to the mid 50's.
I guess that is why we never really experience a Autumn season here. Pretty much just dry warm air most days of the year. But it is so good for the avocados, citrus trees and so much food that is only grown out here. The rest of the country does benefit from our weather so I guess it is not a lost cause. It is funny when I think about how many Christmases I have gone through with the weather being over 70 degrees. A White Christmas is just a movie for most of us, unless we want to drive to the mountains but then with gas over $5.00 a gal out here, who can afford to drive anywhere. Out here we are definitely not better off than we were a few years ago. I think on the West Coast it will be a lean Xmas.
I wish I could help you wrap the many gifts but then I just buy bags to wrap my gifts. I buy the reusable shopping bags or tote bags and they become part of the gift. I am always amazed at how even the little kids like to get these bags. For the women I buy the ones that be folded up to fit insides their purses which are great for shopping malls. I know they cost a little more but I think they are worth it. I am not sure if you have seen any of these in your area but I buy them all year round. I too love giving and I guess I start very early.
well fall isn't almost over, but the color is! The leaves have started to fall ...which actually is beautiful in and of itself! I love to sit and watch them float to the ground. Our temps are usually in the 50-60's and down to the 40's at night...at least through November as it gradually becomes colder.
It's the Marthas! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah!

ReplyDeleteha, I'm sure it did! :)
ReplyDeleteI shall purpose to enjoy even the dry and crunchy carpet of leaves. There is plenty of time left for raking and jumping. :)
