Happy September! My all time favorite month. :)
I took these photos while I was out and about this week and thought how they reminded me that summer is ending.
Signs for pumpkin farms, golden dried corn, and leaves turning color. Now if the temperatures would
just feel like fall! ha. It's so hot and humid it's like a sauna outside!

ReplyDeleteI love autumn too Betsy love your pics and love september too; here is the begin of spring but is nice really I don like so much summer.
today i put two pictures of the trees blossom in my sidebar and there is autum....
Oh, it's fun to compare seasons with you! Yes, winter is almost over there! When you are hot and swiming, we'll be shivering and making snowmen. hahaha.
Deleteisnt really early to pumkins dear?
ReplyDeletei always think in pumpkins in october!
A little early, yes. Most farms sell them in October! I'm not ready to put out fall decoration yet, anyway. I don't do that until the official first day of fall, which just happens to be my birthday! ha...so that is a fun way to celebrate.
Deleteyes I love pumpkins too!
Deleteyes I remember well your birthday is 21 and here begin the spring!
DeleteOooh...you have a good memory! But I know your is June 9th, right?
Deleteyes is right but is past haha
Deletehaha,...well, yes, but it will come again! ;)
DeleteOhh you're making me excited!! I love fall - super photos :)
ReplyDeleteMary x
Me, too! It's such a wonderful season..well, all of them are...but fall seems to be the most dramatic to me with it's color and crispness!
DeleteI'm seeing them here too, but I'm not ready! I love Fall, but I'm not real fond of what comes after it. :)
ReplyDeletehaha...oh, I'm so tired of the heat! If fall would last until spring, I'd be fine with that. haha...although I really do like winter, too.
DeleteI am so looking forward to fall temps myself!
ReplyDeleteIt has been so hot and humid this summer! I don't think there were more than 6-7 days that weren't miserable!
DeleteBetsy, you and I share the same favorite month! Weather is still perfection, change is coming and we can feel it in the air, it's my birth month, school beginning was always a total thrill .... and on and on. Thanks for visiting me at Poetry Matters, it means a lot.
ReplyDeleteYour birth month, too? Well, you and I will just have to have a big celebration! :)
DeleteI am almost ready to retire my summertime Facebook photo album for autumn.
ReplyDeleteSeptember is a bittersweet month, but still one of my favorites. Can't help but love October and the colors it brings. Maybe I'll even decorate for fall this year. :)
yes, a bittersweet month for you, but it is a lovely one. I love the deeper blue in the skies and the hopefully cooler days! ha.
Deletea sign for pumpkins already? really? wont it rot? crazy...ha....cool pic of the cow...
ReplyDeletehaha...only if you carve it now. lol....actually, it's too early for me to decorate but the sign was there nonetheless!
DeleteI am all to familiar with the sauna like atmosphere. We are all too eager for any little breeze that comes our way. We were hoping to get some rain coming from Isaac and we barely got any! Back to watering the lawn! Pumpkin farms. I might just have to track some down here just to get my seasonal fix. Have a good Monday/Labor Day!
ReplyDeleteWow...I would have thought you would have been drowned in rain from Isaac! Yes, I'm ready for crisp cool air, seeing your breath in it and jeans/sweaters!
DeleteOh, I forgot to mention. I went to Michael's over the weekend. Holy Moly, if you want to get a full blast of the fall season, they have everything out. I picked up a little fall garden flag and pumpkin "pop rocks" to go into a care package!
ReplyDeletepumpkin pop rocks? hahaha....oh, how fun~ And how fun to send off a care package...she'll love it. :)
DeleteOh I'm clinging on to summer!!! Take care
ReplyDeletex
OH, I know most of you all are. I've always been a fall/winter kind of girl...we're a little strange. hahaha.
DeleteSeptember is my favorite month too! Of course it is my birthday month too so that adds to it...lol. Hot in Va. too, wish it would start to feel more like September. Love your pre-fall photos. :-)
ReplyDeletehey, another September birthday girl! :)
DeleteHi Betsy,
ReplyDeleteWe will still be hot in September and basically have no changing of the leaves except on a few trees here and there. It does not get cold enough to do that, which is a good thing or no one would get avocadoes or citrus fruits. Maybe one or two nights a year will cool to below 32. People here can barely handle it below 50, and if it rains, whoa, accidents everywhere. We are too spoiled by our weather. But we love it. I hope it cools down soon, I like summer breezes.
Oh and I posted a video over at Theme Thursday that you might like, it has kitties in it.
God bless.
Your weather does sound beautiful...and very consistent!
Deletewill come see your video..thanks for the headsup!
I was just commenting yesterday about how excited I am that soon I can put pumpkins on the front steps, go apple picking and do all of those fall things I adore. I was born at the beginning of November and have always thought late October/early November to be a magical, perfect time of the year. Bring on the colors!
ReplyDeleteit is magical and perfect...great words to describe autumn! I can't wait!
DeleteI'm looking forward to putting pumpkins on the front porch, a tradition every fall. I can't give up summer yet though; I just love the sunshine and warmth.
ReplyDeleteI think it's too early for pumpkins, myself. It has to be cooler! ha. Hope you get to enjoy the last few weeks of summer!
DeleteSeptember is a beautiful month and the colours of the autumn are nearly here. I love pumpkins too!!
ReplyDeleteIt will be here very soon! Just another few weeks and i hope the weather feels like it, too!
DeletePumpkins already???
ReplyDeleteI didn't think they would be ready yet...with all the dry weather...
Hot as heck today...humidex 34 degrees...VERY hot..
Enjoy the rest of your day
Cheers!
Linda :o)
No, not for me! Not with the pool up! lol..... Yes, very humid and hot here...miserable, actually. It rained all day here...which made it worse! Ugh.
DeleteI was thinking about fall last week. Usually by this time every summer, leaves are beginning to fall, but not this year. Then I realized that those leaves fall so soon because the summer dries then up and roasts them...not because the temperature has changed even one tiny degree. This year the leaves are still green, because even though it has been super hot and HUMID, we have had plenty of rain for once.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, this miserable summer will be followed by a spectacular autumn.
I think you got all of our rain! We've been SO dry! Dry but humid, if that makes any sense. lol....
Deletehi
ReplyDeletei agree, i love fall but its hard to get in the mood when its 85 degrees out. Great pictures!
i went to Michaels over the weekend and they are in full pumpkin mode!
I've got to stroll through Michaels and see what's new!
DeleteSomehow my brain is still stuck in August.
ReplyDeleteWhen you mentioned September, I said to myself, she's right.
The tips of the trees turning are always a definite sign of Autumn tip-toeing in.
Fall is my absolute favorite time of year. I know what you mean about temperatures. We don't get much of a fall in the deserts of Arizona.
ReplyDeleteyou know, I can't even recall the last time i actually saw a cow! Isn;t that crazy!
