They are so pretty! Black velvet is the perfect name. Looks like our skippy. In the sun his coat kinda looks like black satin, too. So shiny! He is a bluish black, whereas our Bear is a brownish black. Your velvet looks like a bluish black from the photo.
yes, they are that blue-black...so pretty! Skippy...that's a cute name! :) Can't wait to see the sex of these...the 2 grey ones are boys but I'm having a hard time telling with that black fur...and not being able to get close! ha.
No, I haven't named them...waiting to see the sexes. ha. And they've spent the night here the last few nights, so I think they are here to stay! They still run if they see me, so I have some work to do in befriending them. It would help if mama wouldn't hiss when I stepped through the back door. haha. But that's her way...as with all mamas protecting their babies.
She's either having a nap Or doesn't like your snap Blinding her a bit As her eyes are never open as they sit Or maybe she is too high and mighty for that Surely picked the right name for her at your mat
Yes....she hisses and then eats what I give her. ha. She's teaching her kittens to be scared of me. But we'll be friends eventually...just like the other litters. :)
LOve the little Betsy!
ReplyDeleteisn't that a cute kitten? :)
DeleteOMY! Im first?
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures and love the little and his little eyes and yes are like twins!

DeleteYes, it looks just like his mama, but there is another little black one..twins!

ReplyDeletesmooth...oh, that's the perfect description. :)
DeleteYes, you couldn't find a better name. I just want to reach out and touch them. Glad you enjoyed my little email. I thought it was hilarious too.
ReplyDeleteWell, neither would let you touch them. And mom would hiss. haha. She hisses while taking food. But she's warming up slowly but surely. :)
DeleteI love your black velvet cats! Too bad I am not in the position to want another kitty just yet.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, I found the perfect website for you.
http://www.tngenweb.org/tntable/possum.htm
If you wanted them, I'd let you have the two little black ones. They are adorable and so tiny!
Deletehahaha...oh, that website!!! Did you read the nutrition facts?
DeleteNo, I had to go back and look.
DeleteWhen I was a little girl and asked what was for dinner, my dad used to say, "Possum innards."
and where is Pat????
ReplyDeleteI don't know!
DeletePat went to bed
DeleteWith the back dread haha

ReplyDeleteIt was an easy choice! ha.
DeleteGod's creatures great and small
ReplyDeleteAll want to live and explore and love.
Black velvet cats should be a breed, right?

Cheers!
Linda :o)
Oh dear...best of luck! Hope he can fix it all cheaply! :)
DeleteThey are both so beautiful and do look fairly blue on my screen. I hope the little ones become friendly so they can be fixed. Have you named them yet?
ReplyDeleteGod bless.

DeleteYou did indeed give her a perfect name. I had a pint of Guinness in the pub last night, as dark and as smooth as your cat. As you say, perfect.
ReplyDeletewell, yes, now that you mention it...they are as black as that Guinness label! :)
Deletepurrr fect name.

ReplyDeletethey are so sweet.....
DeleteSo beautiful! Your cat photos always brighten my day!
ReplyDeletewell, I'm glad to know you're enjoying them. With 14 here, it's hard not to have them come up in conversation. lol....
DeleteShe's either having a nap
ReplyDeleteOr doesn't like your snap
Blinding her a bit
As her eyes are never open as they sit
Or maybe she is too high and mighty for that
Surely picked the right name for her at your mat
I think she's being a mom and sleeping while standing up. haha....with her ear still atune to the kitties and they run. :)
DeleteBeautiful! Yes, you surely picked the perfect name. I have a black guy, too. Zorro, a very handsome devil.
ReplyDeletezorro? oh, that's the perfect name for a black male. :)
DeleteIs she the one that won't come too close? She is beautiful and so is her baby. :)
ReplyDeleteYes....she hisses and then eats what I give her. ha. She's teaching her kittens to be scared of me. But we'll be friends eventually...just like the other litters. :)
DeleteThey are SOOOOO pretty! The black ones...but the gray is so pretty too!!!!
ReplyDeleteI will say it again and again...nothing SO CUTE as a kitten!
They've spent the night here the last few nights. I put the little winter house back out for the cooler nights but nobody has gone in yet. ha.
DeleteIf black cats are lucky, you're in for a good time!
ReplyDeleteOooh...I hope they are lucky! Or at least we're ready for Halloween! ha.
