Vince Gill

I attended a fund raiser last night for a local hospital with The Mister.
Vince Gill was the entertainment!  We were in 'black tie' dress...he
was not.  haha.  I've never been a country music fan, but did enjoy
his concert very much.  He's not only handsome, but a real
funny, sweet and down-to-earth guy!  Oh yeah, he's got a
great voice, too! :)

    1. I heard of him I think
As his name does ring a bell at my rink
      But not enough to know
What songs he sings to put on a show
Although I agree with his attire
Black tie is just so dire haha

  4. I'm not a fan of Country but when you said Vince Gill, I perked up.
How fun to get out and be with the Mister, all dressed up.
That puts a smile on my face.
Enjoy the last day of summer (I know you will really enjoy the first day of school).

    1. haha...yes, I'll enjoy tomorrow for totally different reasons. You should have seen Spencer's face when I told him there was school tomorrow. He literally stopped dead in his tracks, turned around and scowled at me...then waited to see if I'd repeat it...to make sure he heard me correctly. Priceless. lol....

  6. Sounds like a fun evening. Vince Gill does have a great voice. Have you heard his song, "Losing You"? So beautiful and soulful, with a marvelous trumpet solo...not country at all. He must have been guesting on someone else's album.

    1. p.s. I didn't mean to imply that Vince was playing the trumpet. :)

    2. It's Chris Botti's Album.....I just looked it up. Oh, that's lovely. Thanks for telling me about it. Beautiful piano and trumpet.

    3. Chris Botti...thanks! I saw them perform together on some talk show and was soooo taken with Vince Gill's voice that I didn't properly focus on the marvelous trumpet solo. I'm glad to know the artist's name.

  11. I think it's kind of funny that a big city guy like me enjoys country music, and small-town Betsy does not. Glad you enjoyed Vince Gill and had a nice night out!

  14. I've been a Vince Gill fan for a lot of years... he's "country" now, but use to be "rock" back in the 70's. (Yes, I remember back then.) He played and sang with a rock group, Pure Prairie League, if I remember correctly, and sang the lead on their hit song, "Aimie." I KNOW you enjoyed him live!!
