I attended a fund raiser last night for a local hospital with The Mister.
Vince Gill was the entertainment! We were in 'black tie' dress...he
was not. haha. I've never been a country music fan, but did enjoy
his concert very much. He's not only handsome, but a real
funny, sweet and down-to-earth guy! Oh yeah, he's got a
great voice, too! :)
♥
First with my burst
ReplyDeleteGloria is worst
I heard of him I think
DeleteAs his name does ring a bell at my rink
But not enough to know
What songs he sings to put on a show
Although I agree with his attire
Black tie is just so dire haha
Pfffft! I thi.k you were working lol
DeleteFirst and also lurking at work! lol. :) Well, I didn't know the songs either but it was still fun!
DeleteYes, he looked more comfortable in his jeans, that is for sure. lol..
Oh...Gloria almost got you!
Only a few minutes off
DeleteBut sure made her scoff haha
Pfffft!
DeleteShe's hissing like a cat!
DeleteYou should be scared of that!
hahaha
Ok Im.here:))
ReplyDeleteSounds fun Betsy and I love some country songs:)
It was a lot of fun, and dinner was yummy, too!
DeleteWhat fun and is nice you can go with the Mr.
DeleteTaylor was with the kids?
Yes, Taylor and Lauren stayed with the boys. :)
DeleteNice!
DeleteI am a "hater" when it comes to country music but think Vince Gill seems like such a NICE man!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to see a celebrity for real, though. And yes, he was very nice...loved the stories he told, too.
DeleteI'm not a fan of Country but when you said Vince Gill, I perked up.
ReplyDeleteHow fun to get out and be with the Mister, all dressed up.
That puts a smile on my face.
Enjoy the last day of summer (I know you will really enjoy the first day of school).
haha...yes, I'll enjoy tomorrow for totally different reasons. You should have seen Spencer's face when I told him there was school tomorrow. He literally stopped dead in his tracks, turned around and scowled at me...then waited to see if I'd repeat it...to make sure he heard me correctly. Priceless. lol....
DeleteOh he looks good doesn't he!? Yay for a great fundraising cause!! Take care
ReplyDeletex
Yes, he did look good. ha. :)
DeleteSounds like a fun evening. Vince Gill does have a great voice. Have you heard his song, "Losing You"? So beautiful and soulful, with a marvelous trumpet solo...not country at all. He must have been guesting on someone else's album.
ReplyDeletep.s. I didn't mean to imply that Vince was playing the trumpet. :)
DeleteIt's Chris Botti's Album.....I just looked it up. Oh, that's lovely. Thanks for telling me about it. Beautiful piano and trumpet.
DeleteChris Botti...thanks! I saw them perform together on some talk show and was soooo taken with Vince Gill's voice that I didn't properly focus on the marvelous trumpet solo. I'm glad to know the artist's name.
DeleteI played that on youtube several times today...it's beautiful!
Deleteit was very fun! :)
ReplyDeleteI love country music. My Arkansan brother-in-law can take the credit for that. I think Vince Gill is great. Lucky you!
ReplyDeleteAw, you would have loved it...and so would your brother-in-law! It was very fun...I'd go again for sure! :)
DeleteIt's sounds like a great night out! Glad you have a fun time : )
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to dress up and go out. The food was really good, too...
Deletenice...met brad paisley under similar circumstances a few years ago....def sounds like a fun night out...live music done well....i love it regardless of genre...
ReplyDeletevery cool~ yes, I agree...live music done well...very fun!
Deletehe does seem like such a nice man, and what a beautiful voice he has,
ReplyDeleteyes, very,...and if you aren't familiar with the song Janice talked about, look it up!
DeleteI think it's kind of funny that a big city guy like me enjoys country music, and small-town Betsy does not. Glad you enjoyed Vince Gill and had a nice night out!
ReplyDeletehaha...oh, that is so funny...and true! But I did enjoy him very much..even though I'd never heard but a couple of the songs before. :)
DeleteSchool starts tomorrow here! :) yippee!
Our son starts on Thursday... I can totally understand the joy you feel. :)
Deletelol...it's been a long 3 months...but we all survived! I'll think of you on Thursday and hope for a great day for him. :)
DeleteThanks, Betsy. We need all the positive energy we can muster!
DeleteI think I saw him on a DVD of a Brian Wilson tribute concert, once. Great voice.
ReplyDeleteLucky you! I love Vince Gill.
ReplyDeleteI've been a Vince Gill fan for a lot of years... he's "country" now, but use to be "rock" back in the 70's. (Yes, I remember back then.) He played and sang with a rock group, Pure Prairie League, if I remember correctly, and sang the lead on their hit song, "Aimie." I KNOW you enjoyed him live!!
ReplyDeleteHi Betsy .. looks like a great night out - peace and quiet with just the Mister and you .. fun time - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteVince Gill? Sounds like a fish.
ReplyDeleteWow, lucky you!! He can definitely sing.
ReplyDeleteI heard his voice in my head the moment you mentioned him.
Hahaha, to silver's comment. And once he was married to Amy Grant. :) ..I always liked her hair.
