No one commented on my lake sunset pictures the other day. Maybe they thought they were fake or something. I do love sunsets, especially at the lake. :)
You were on blog break, but they aren't far down. Several people looked, but the silhouettes look so pasted in that people probably didn't know what to think.
Red sky at night, sailors delight. When we see a red sky at night, this means that the setting sun is sending its light through a high concentration of dust particles. This usually indicates high pressure and stable air coming in from the west. Basically good weather will follow.
It really was....the pink ones always catch my eye from the window and then I have to go out and take a better look! :) do you see the couple on their bikes? They're barely noticeable. They thought I was taking their picture. ha. When I said it was the sky, they said that was the same reason they took the bike ride in the first place!
Betsy, I never know which one I like most: sunset or sunrise? Last year, when I thought I was dying, I would wake up every morning at 5 to sit on my chair and witness yet another sunrise. It's beautiful.
Hmmm...yes, nothing like thinking your days are numbered to make you appreciate the little beautiful things of every day. We really do take those things for granted, don't we? I have to admit that I see many more sunsets than sun rises. We don't have any easterly facing windows and trees block that view, too! But I seem to always notice the sunsets. And, I'm glad you're still here! :)
Beautiful shades of pink.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it? I saw it from the kitchen window and had to go out and take a picture!
