Clouds

Today was one of those cloud days.  You know the ones.
When the big fluffy clouds come down low,
just begging you to take notice and guess their animal shape.
I always think they look like a sea of sleeping manatees slowly drifting along.
I was inside working an auction today and didn't get to enjoy them until
I was driving home, but still thought they were wonderful!

No auction fun today.  No trash to pick through! I actually bid
on something but got outbid!  You know those lovely Lenox China
Spice Jars?  There was a whole collection of the jars with the
display rack.  Hmm.  Yes, I really wanted them. :(  ha ha.

Yes, I think the clouds were the best part of the day. :)

    1. Pat was at his work mat
      And as for the cat
He was sleeping and licking himself
      At his shelf

    2. Working and lurking
      Always leaves one smirking

    3. No internet with the auctions
so I have no lurking options
but I do that plenty at home
when I'm the boss and not on the roam.
      ha.
And how was Flappy last night?
Did she a post spark ignite?

    4. Nope she came and went
      So nothing to vent

    5. Oh, how disappointing.
      At least she wasn't suffocating.
      lol.

  2. It was beautiful here as well. Lin mentioned the clouds when he came home from work :) your pictures of the rural countryside minus traffic always make me just a tad jealous.:)

    1. Well, I guess you can expect more of the same tomorrow! :) Yeah, it's true we don't have traffic but we have to drive a ways to get to normal looking civilization. lol. :)

I finally bought the rest of my garden stuff on my way home...zucchini, cucumbers and jalapeno plants and several packs of lettuce mix seeds. I wanted Kale seeds but couldn't find any. I remember that happening last year, too! Can't remember where I finally found it.

oh, and a pretty little jade plant jumped into my cart at Walmart. lol.

    2. well I guess that would be one drawback :) I am less than five minutes from 3 different grocery stores and probably not much further than a half hour from anywhere I need to go :) including doctor, hospital, etc. It's all good, but I do enjoy it quiet enough to hear Nature.

I'll have to check out the jade plant, don't think I know what that is. Planning to plant the rest of my garden things tomorrow too.

    3. Yeah, that would be very convenient! Here, we do all errands in one day. I guess it forces you to be very organized. There is a tiny convenience store in our little village for emergencies, though. But the prices are outrageous.

I'll think of you gardening while I do mine tomorrow! :)

  3. The clouds look grand
As they do when one is flying over the land
And I can see the mantatee
    And someone out bid thee
Well at least I know you never found that pot of gold
And are holding out on be as if you did you never would be out sold..hahaha

      are even better yet!
and yes, I had to stop bidding, it's true.
I'm still as poor as you.
Good thing we found that fountain of youth, you know!
we can stay young and looking just so!
We'll keep searching for the pot of gold
      when everyone else is old!

    2. LOL and as we don't age
Thinking it is all the rage
The more debt we will collect
      And soon have to neglect
Go bankrupt and run off to some beach
Where we live of some tree peach
      That would not do
Need to find that pot of gold and get a golden loo..haha

      Delete
    3. I'd rather live on a beach
      and eat the peach
      than have the loo
      it is true.
But the gold pot I'll take
and a nice beach house make!

    4. Yeah that sounds like a plan
Of one I truly am a fan
Go to Florida and live there forever
Oh that would be a nice endeavor

  10. Hi Betsy .. those days are wonderful - especially if we have a few minutes just to sit on a lawn or somewhere in nature and feel the warmth of the sun, while watching the fluffy clouds above dance for us - and we can let our imagination wander its path ..

Great pictures .. ours is mostly grey at the moment - but we seem to have recouped the drought situation - so perhaps it's a good thing! Just as long as Wimbledon doesn't get washed out!! Cheers Hilary

  17. Hi Betsy-indeed the clouds are gorgeous...but then, we have the marshmallow fluffy clouds the majority of the 365 days, here in S. Florida. Sometimes they are so huge and bouncy...you feel like you could almost reach up and touch them!
Gorgeous scenery you have there...sorry about the auction; sometimes I feel like our Goodwill store is like an auction house because when the bins start to roll out from the back room mostly in the morning, people are already lining up to see the treasures; especially when new items arrive from department stores that have gone out of style (meaning the year before)
    Have a wonderful weekend!

  18. Those are great puffy clouds...so pleasing to the eyes. The clouds and storms before the snow was lovely here...but the sunsets are what I will post for SWF tomorrow.

Sorry you didn't get your spice jars...mayabe next time.

  19. Yes, lovely clouds indeed. Like cotton candy you could pluck outta the sky and munch.

Sorry you didn't get your bid items. Even more so that you didn't find any great scarfs in the trash.
