What I Did Wednesday #29

  1. Enjoyed the morning light shining in the kitchen.
  2. Had a piece of apple pie.
  3. Ran errands.  Always enjoy seeing this huge flag in the shopping center.
  4. Watched the geese in the gorge of our little village.
  5. Noticed the watermelon on the couch...it was heavy and that's as far as I carried it! lol.
  6. Still doing a double take at the wooden cat with marble eyes.  haha.
  7. Filled up the tank.  Thankful for my Kroger Reward points that took off 40 cents per gallon!  But it was still $3.20 per gallon that way.  It's terrible that we consider that low these days!
  8. Bought some African Violet to be included in the teacher/aide school gifts.  Thursday is the last day!
  9. Bought new summer bed sheets.  Lovely grey.  I couldn't find the fitted sheet to our summer set so we've had the flannel fitted sheet still on there.  Too hot and sticky! ha. I'm also enjoying my new washer.  Fast, quiet and super large capacity.
  10. Noted how tall the sweet corn is already!
  11. Bought a Honey Kiss Melon.  New to me!  Have you tasted one?
  12. Fluffed the pillows and folded the throws.
  13. Caught Spencer double licking suckers again. :)
  14. Caught Domino with an interesting playmate.  Story to come in the near future. :)

I hope you had a lovely day!
The sun was gorgeous today, but we could use more rain!

  5. I love your Wednesday posts! They are wonderful! I do have to comment about your gas prices though. We are at $4.30 a gallon and that's at Fred Meyer (Kroger) before we get .10 cents off. We don't have a .40 cents program. That would be wonderful!

    1. ugh..4.30 is awful. I do remember not so long ago it taking $75 to fill my tank!

Our 40 cent program started not too long ago. You can choose the 10 cent and do that several times a month, or you can use all of your points for the month at once and do the 40 cents. Since I only drive once or twice a week, I fill up and use is all. Maybe soon it will come to your, too!

  6. I haven't heard of that melon--sounds yummy tho!

I think I'm going to try having two suckers at once like Spencer--I could have grape and watermelon--the best of both worlds. ha!

    Domino looks full of mischief.

I did some laundry, cleaned bathrooms, and went to a birthday party for a little boy. :)

  8. Interesting post! :) Never had that melon but it sounds sweet and delicious! Our gas price is still $3.64 ha I agree we are crazy for thinking it's cheap but I guess it is compared to what it was :) Love thae sunlight in your kitchen.

I did laundry, grocery shopped, put the last coat of paint on the cabinets, and finished de-weeding the flowerbeds. Yay! Tomorrow it's the garden and more strawberries. and the pressure washing. and the baking. ha never a dull moment!

    2. We are pleased with them :) There are still a few to do but the important part is done :) Yes the lack of humidity is wonderful! Makes the night air that much more pleasant to sit outside and enjoy breathing in the honeysuckle on all sides. There is so much growing wild here. Smells awesome!

Been packing all day..we leave tomorrow for our trip to Lake Tahoe. The header on my new blog is where I will be sitting for the next couple weeks.

I noticed that you still have Brushstrokes on your sidebar...it's been deleted and now I'm posting on my Got A Minute or Two. I'm still doing Creative Tuesday, ABC Wed and Skywatch Fri, and opened a new blog for those three memes. Time for new things in my blog life....

ALWAYS love the photos you share with us! LOL about the cat...I would be too.
When I go grocery shopping...plants seem to "jump" into my cart...Yesterday,I bought not 1, but 2 small peace lilies with tons of flowers on them. I spent the evening & this morning transplanting various houseplants(after all I had to use the HUGE bag of potting soil that I purchased. 8~)
    Thanks for letting me ramble.
