Random Tuesday

Saw this out the window where my desk is in the kitchen this morning. :)

This was at the other kitchen window.
Look at that tiny spider that caught the big junebug in it's web!
It's like David and Goliath!
That spider won't need to catch food for the rest of it's life!  Eww!

I made more cookies for my wedding favor order.
Here are some discs of cookie dough waiting to chill in the refrigerator.
I now have 21 dozen cookies in the freezer!

Just 4 more dozen to go!  Then next week I will decorate them.

We had near perfect weather today!
75 degrees.  Low humidity.
Blue sky with puffy animal clouds.
Birds singing in the windows.
Lovely.

How was your day?

  4. Great shots...but you are SOOOO good at that...
Went to fitness and then I picked up a few plants for the front...meaning...annuals and a few perennials...
a big fat fern for my main planter, a new deep pink daylilie...sedum ,and bleeding hearts...
one of my daughters gave me a lovely hanging plant with pale pink geraniums, and a lacy white trailing plant.... for Mom's day....Think I will do everything in pink and white, here at home...sounds good to me...

Don't you just really dislike spiders??? I sure do....especially when you walk thru one of their webs...I guess like the poor Junebug did....the weather here sounds just like yours....fabulous day...more of the same coming...this is a long weekend for us, the Queen's birthday...first long weekend of the year, and definitely the start of Summer for us up here...

Enjoy the rest of your day...until next time...

    Cheers
    Linda :o)

    1. Nice day!

Love your pink and white flower choices...that will be gorgeous! I love pink geraniums, too.

I need to do a post soon on just how much I dislike spiders! Seriously!

I could take this weather every day of the summer. I wish it wouldn't get so hot and humid. I would much rather have the windows open like this!

  5. Wow the spider sure has some food
The junebug must think that is just rude
    Becoming chow
But maybe the cats will wow
    And eat them both
    Stopping their growth
All those cookies must take a while
As you go down the cookie mile
And was okay here but cloudy for most of the day
But Flappy did cancel at my work bay..hahahaha

    1. Poor junebug was on the other side of the screen
or I would have helped him flee!
Instead I watched as he could his legs tied together
was really icky to this spider hater.
Gave a shiver up my spine
Not going to watch as the spider dines.
      lol.

almost done with the cookie mile
      sure does make me smile.

      Flappy cancelled? Aww, too bad!
A wonderful post could have been had!
      LOL!
But I'm sure you skipped home early with glee
with a big grin for all to see!

    2. Yeah watching would have been nasty indeed
Blah as the spider went to feed
      No charlottes web deal there
      At your lair
Yep skipped home after two whole hours of work
      That does leave a smirk
Since I get paid for the whole day
      Anyway..haha

    3. Well, how about that!
You're going to become a lazy cat!
      ha.

    4. Oh I wish
Sit around all day and eat fish
      Actually be nice to quit
And do nothing for a bit..haha

    5. Then you'd have to pay the bills
and find yourself up a hill!
      Eating fish
      such a nice dish.
We need to find that pot of gold
      and have wealth untold!

      Delete
    6. Yeah thus I have to work
      Which is not a perk
We really really really need that pot of gold
So doing what we want when we want can take hold

That big bug is a Junebug...although, they show up in May. I hate them. Ick. I'm going to have to get a broom and go outside and brush him down if he's still there tomorrow. I'm tired of looking at him! ha.

  24. Oh the David and Goliath picture is so perfect. What an object lesson for Sunday School. I just marvel at your sugar cookies...I've tried so many time to make nice "cut out" cookies...but I guess it's just not in my DNA. I can make great choc. chip, peanut butter, oatmeal and snickerdoodle....Guess I should be happy...I think if I could visit your kitchen, and you could show me "hands on" I might get it. I'm a visual learner......In the meantime, I will just admire yours.

  25. That's a lot of cookies. The spider isn't the only one who wouldn't need treats for the rest of it's life!
