So, a couple of weeks ago I get this email. It's in a zipped and locked document file.
I wait until I'm alone I enter my secret password and cautiously open the file.
Here is what I read...
I quickly download the book to a secure file and watch as the remaining pages of the email disappear in a cloud of smoke. Looking through the story, I'm immediately intrigued by a mohawk-sporting cyclops. Coincidentally, he reminds me of my twin, Brian. :)
There's a fight between good and evil, humor, suspense and a great ending!
I'm determined to take on the mission and grab my colored pencils and paper.
The clouds were especially fun to draw. And there are a lot of them!
There are some animals.....
And even a bird! You know I loved that!
Great for grade-school-aged kids!
I'd invite you to buy Pat's book online! It's a 10 page ebook for only $1.99
Download straight to your computer or to your Kindle.

Deletereally are nice Betsy, but the kids eat so fast!
DeleteBetsy remember when I told you about Rex, my dog, he is so sick , maybe have only some months, is so sad:(
DeleteOh, I would eat them fast, too! ha. But that is good that they do that...then you can make something new for your blog. :)
DeleteOh, I'm sorry about Rex. He's the old one, right? Aww.
DeleteI'm sorry to hear about your dog, too. :(
DeleteHe has a tumor and cannot make a surgery yes is the more older:(
DeleteOh, that's sad. So do you have to decide whether to put him to sleep or just live it out? Hope he isn't in any pain.
DeleteNot yet. The vet give him some medicines to pain and we have to see how is:(
DeleteThat's hard. We had a cat that we had to have put to sleep. The other just died at home. Either way is very hard. I love the name Rex for a dog! :)
Deleteyes he is not so old, really by has this tumor, we adopt him about 8 years.
DeleteWith the dogs I have similar histories like your cats.

DeleteOh, that's a great idea...make sure you tell someone there what you're wishing for! ha. I hope you get it!
DeleteCongrats betsy. Very nice art work, I had not idea you dabbled with the sketchpad. Very cool. i paint and draw all the time, actually have a blog of my stuff. Only wish I was good at people, animals and things. But if you want to talk lines and abstract, I think I'm ok. Again, love the cyclops and a very nice peacock, mind would've been a blueberry with sprouts or something lol Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Fred. I didn't know you had an art blog! I need to come take a look at that! How multi-talented you are! :) I like abstract, too, so I know I'll enjoy seeing what you post!
DeleteOh, how fun! You know I'd love to write a book, but I'm just too scattered at the moment to do it.
ReplyDeleteWell, you should write one...and you could illustrate your own! How fun would that be!? Once life calms down a little, right? ha. I keep saying I'm going to do a cookbook and include illustrations but my list of things like that is about a dozen long...and no extra time to do any of it!
DeleteLove those little monkeys!:) Congratulations to you!
ReplyDeletethanks, martha...I loved the monkeys! I was cracking up while drawing them and seeing how they were turning out! They might be my favorite part! ha.
DeleteTheir expressions are so cute. The one is mischevious and the other mildly indignant. ha, too funny!
