R is for Really Big Pig

No, this pig is not part of my zoo.  :)
But he is someone's pet!  I snapped these photos after working an auction not too long ago.
Hmmm.  I think I'd rather have my cats, parakeets, and bunny.
I know it's hard to see just how big he is, but I think
I could have easily thrown a saddle on him and gone for a ride. lol.
Funny thing is, there were two tiny dogs running around the yard.
I was a little scared for them that they could have easily become dinner!

I've joined the A to Z Challenge for the month of April!
We're celebrating the letter R all day, Friday the 20th!

  2. Wow, that is one big pig. I've known people who have pigs as pets before, but I've never seen such a pig, I wonder what his name is. I hope it's not something corny like Porky, would be fitting but I don't know lol

    1. Porky...hahaha! I can't imagine feeding that thing. I guess he'd take all the food scraps from the kitchen. Still...it's not like he could sleep on your feet at night. lol...

  7. Pigs are fun to look at, or turn into banks, but I don't think I'd want one running around the yard with my children. Who climbss on that play set, Porky?

My dad was almost killed by an angry sow when he was a little boy. He ran screaming from one side of the enclosure to the other until his mother finally came running out and grabbed him. He said every other day the pig was friendly, but that day she was feeling particularly ornery.

    1. I'm sure he eats everything out there. I noticed there weren't any flowers. lol.

I bet they could be dangerous if they were angry!

  10. WOW that is one big pig
Having that running about would flip Orlin's wig
Porky can stay on the farm
Feeding him would raise an alarm
As you went to the store
    And got groceries galore
Blabber goes on about the micro pig ones
    And likes them tons
Even though they still get rather large
But no where near as big as the sucker at that barge

    1. I just don't think pet pigs are for me.
      They surely don't smell sweetly.
I'm sure they aren't clean and tidy
like cats, who groom themselves widely.
His face looked like it had never been washed.
Cassie would never approve, of course!

    2. oh come on betsy...you need a pig...how can you call yourself a real zoo without a pig...snort...oink, oink...

    3. lol....it's a pseudo zoo then...totally pigless. except little piglets like Wilbur would be ok. haha.

      Delete
    4. Well that is the case with normal ones
      They'd give my ocd runs
But here is the one you should get for your zoo
Then you could make your twin happy too

    5. haha...oh, look at those piglets!
Did you look at the gallery of snap shots?
      I'll admit they are cute
      even their little snoots.
The price is out of sight
but they seem like good pets day and night.
If I got a black one it might be
hard to tell him apart from Nuggy.
      lol.

    6. LOL yeah the price is crazy
But Orlin's would too make your eyes go hazy
      He was even more..haha
No wonder he has a big ego at my shore
And see you can now have a pig
      Even give it a wig
It and nugget would get along grand
Sure it would fit right in at your land..haha

  23. That's one big pig. We nearly bought a large house with some friends to set up a small holding, pigs were one of the first things we said we wanted, more as pets than for raising for food. I then realised I was too much of a city girl and pulled out of the idea. The friends are close to having enough money to set up alone and I'll be straight round to see their pig/s once acquired.

  24. I think I am in love!!! Pigs are my all time favorite animal. I've always wanted one since I was a little girl!!!! Do they need a babysitter or a cuddle buddy for their adorable pet???? Just asking...

    Have a great weekend!!!!
