"O" could have been for orthodontist, since I did have an appointment today.
But how boring is that? I waited 25 minutes in the waiting room, had a 15 minute appointment, got 5 new sets of Invisaligns and came home! I thought kitty post-op would be much more fun!
And the photographs certainly are more fun to look at. lol. Hope you aren't tired of kitty photos! I promise this will be it for a little while at least! Everyone is doing very well.
Lots of catnaps, drinks and eating. The weather has been
wonderful for lounging in the sun and sleeping.
Charcoal, watching a butterfly.
The girls, Grey and Oreo, with Bleeding Hearts and Crab Apple blossoms.
Marmalade and the lovely Redbuds
And Domino, who's ears picked up the sound of the
camera's shutter even though I was 25 feet away!
Would you believe Marmy is the only one of these cats I've touched? Of course, he's from
the original litter and they are all friendly. I have made progress, though, in that they all will come inside and eat from my hand. Their wild mothers taught them well to be distant.
At least they didn't run off and don't seem to be holding a grudge against that scary vet trip!
I'm doing the A to Z Challenge for the month of April!
We're celebrating the letter "O" all day Tuesday the 16th.
♥
may I ask a question? If its too personal please just ignore it but do you buy food to feed all these cats regularly, I mean thats a lot of cats isn't it.You are really a sweet heart to be so kind to all these cats,
ReplyDeletehaha..oh, that's not personal..yes, I thought I made it clear that they stay on my back porch and I put food and water out daily...actually twice a day! And I made little homes for them by cutting doorways into two big plastic storage bins turned upside down like igloos. :) (and shh...don't tell..but I even lined the bottom with a heating pad during the winter! ha.)
DeleteBut cat food is fairly cheap. We go through a 25 lb bag each week and buying it in bulk, it's about $10. That's why they look so good for strays, laurie...they get a lot of TLC from me. But I can't help it...just look at their adorable faces! :)
Oh these pictures are precious Betsy. The very first one is just adorable. They all look so happy and content there.
ReplyDeletethey are doing really well... I'm so glad they are all healthy and happy...such a different picture from the other cats I saw at the clinic Saturday. lol. You can certainly tell that although mine our feral, they are well fed and have shelter.
Deleteare you serious your black and whites name is domino...our black and whites name is domino....seriously weirdness...smiles...nice kitty pics...
ReplyDeleteum, yes my twin..this is getting creepy. lol. :)

Deletehaha..yeah, I knew that. :)
Deletetomorrow I post a recipe...nice change, right? hahaha.

DeleteI NEVER get tired of cat pictures :-)
ReplyDeleteDid this set of cats not get their ears clipped?
Oh, good. :)
DeleteNo ear notches! I made that very, very clear on the paperwork! ha.
That top picture of Charcoal is adorable! Glad they are doing well.
ReplyDeleteIsn't he sweet!? I love his pink nose. And he has very unusual olive colored eyes. :)
DeleteI don't get tired of the sweet kitty photos!
ReplyDeletegood thing, huh! :)
DeleteWhile I was mowing my yard tonight a kitty just like Charcoal was sitting in among my flower bed. I stopped and she let me pet her. She was so friendly. It is one of our neighbor's cat of many cats. They also has a black and white like yours.
ReplyDeleteI don't get tired of your cat pictures...they are so cute, each one could be matted and framed. Love the names you gave them too. Still can't get my "reply" button working for me...works for others just not me...go figure.
ReplyDeleteyour reply button is a mystery!
DeleteSo how did you catch all the kitty cats?
ReplyDeleteThey must of been in the house but how did you get them in the cages?
They are beautiful cats.
No, they were not inside. four of the five won't let me touch or pet them, much less pick them up! I had the carriers out on the back porch for weeks and would throw treats in them so they got used to going in for a good reason. Then Saturday morning I did the same thing except I shut the doors! ha. Needless to say, that will never work for the same cats again. lol.
DeleteWay to Go!
DeleteThe rest of us are taking notes on how to raise NINE cats!
haha...well, hopefully nobody else will have to do it! And never by choice! lol. Then you become a crazy cat lady. :)
DeleteAll of those kitty cats and you've only touched one? It goes to show how different cats are then dogs. Dogs beg to be pet :)
ReplyDeletethese aren't domesticated though...it would be like comparing a pet dog to a wolfe! I'm working on them, though!
DeleteCats make you work for it
DeleteDogs just want to lick you so they can get the taste of something out of their mouth that rhymes with it and bit..hahaha
hahaha really looks like Domino is stiffing the flower
ReplyDeleteAnd none seem to cower
After their little trip
To get snip snip
Poor Marmy looks like he doesn't know what to do
Now that he can't humpty hump the crew..hahaha
And kitty pics galore
Never bothers our shore
yes, the humpity hump
Deletehas gone to the dump
now it's just cat nap galore
here at my shore.
the testosterone level has taken a hit
all because of the dreaded snip-snip.
hahaha now comes the new bunch
DeleteThat will soon come for lunch
And give you the crown
You need to be the crazy cat lady at your town..haha
I never tire of your kitty pics!
ReplyDeletethanks, janice! :)
DeleteThat picture of charcoal watching the butterfly made my heart melt... such a sweet lil fella.
ReplyDeleteHe is sweet, isn't he? So photogenic!
DeleteI could never get tired of kitty photos, no way, no how. These are some really fun shots here. I love Charcoal looking up for butterflies, the sleepy grey and marmalade and the domino squinting. and I guess you could've posted about the Orthodontist, and it could have been fun, depending on what kind of anesthetic they used, but when in doubt, give the cat a shout-that rhyme was for you pat lol
ReplyDeleteOh, good. Well, I'm a little paranoid because I did have a reader that actually came right out and said she hated cats and I posted too many pictures and talked too much about them! That was when the first litter arrived on my porch and they were tiny and adorable and I couldn't resist posting all of their pictures. So...I always wonder. But it's a big project and big part of my life right now, so I'm going to be talking about it!
DeleteOh, I've never seen a litter born, in real life that is, something I always thought would be kind of gross and wonderful all mixed into one. One day perhaps. As for that reader who hates cats, I do believe a little folded over note passed under the table to Orlin would certainly solve that matter-lol
DeleteAwwwwwww!!! My teeth and mouth are just melting from all these CUTE!! AWWWWWWW! Thank you Betsy for looking out for these sweeties! Take are
ReplyDeletex
Aren't they sweet, Kitty? They're doing just fine, too!
Deletep.s. of course I meant, Take care! x
ReplyDeleteWhat splendid work you're doing with this cats!
ReplyDeleteWhy, thank you, G...I feel like I've accomplished something really great! :)
DeleteThey are such pretty cats!! They look very happy to be at your house, even if you don't get to touch them.
ReplyDeleteOh, I going to keep working on them...the first four used to be like that, too, but eventually came around and are very affectionate now. :)
DeleteI always love your cat pictures:-)
ReplyDeletewell, good...the story will continue, I'm sure...lol...
DeletePlease don't stop with the kitty pics! They are all adorable and so lucky to have adopted you! Even though you have all the cats you need ... lol, I'm anxiously waiting to see if mamma cat brings the new litter to meet their siblings :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm really wanting to see those new kitties, too! What's she waiting for? lol....
DeleteI'm so glad they are all doing well. And any of your photo-ops are always lovely. Keep them coming. Love the picture of Charcoal watching a butterfly.
ReplyDeleteHe does seem to pose, doesn't he? :)
DeleteThey are all very pretty! I do not tire of kitty cat photos! I love them. Cats have SUCH personality and SOOOO entertaining! I just adore them!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree! :)
DeleteThey're all so pretty. I love Charcoal's colour and that pic is so sweet. Glad they're 'doing well'.
ReplyDeleteI do, too...it's one of my favorite colors!
DeleteCute kitties- but I am favoring Charcoal- sometimes I wish I could just lay around on the porch all day and watch butterflies...:)
ReplyDeleteHe has the life, doesn't he? :)
DeleteLove the shots of your cats! Right now all I seem to post is my puppies hoping to get out of the backyard soon lol
ReplyDeletenothing wrong with puppies! ha.
DeleteI love your kitty pictures. (The top one is my favorite here.) If one does not have small children for entertainment, the next best thing is a passel of kittens. Yours are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHi Betsy .. they're wonderful photos - never tired of them .. beautiful creatures .. and am so happy all went happily along .. cheers Hilary
