Last night I was out for the weekly grocery shopping and the moon was full, big and
bright! It was sparkly even before it was dark! I ran into my friend Bill as we were both walking in the parking lot. Or maybe I should say he almost ran into me...literally! haha...He apologized and said he was looking at the moon! I said that I was, too! :)
By the time I got home it was shining right above my house!
I parked across the street and took one last photograph.
Lovely.
Good Night, Moon!
I've joined in the A to Z Challenge for the month of April!
G is the letter for Saturday the 7th.
♥
Lovely Moon Betsy, here today the moon look nice too:) (we have the same lol)nice pics!
ReplyDeleteyep...we have the same! haha. It been lovely!
DeleteAlways when I see the moon I think you see lol, cause you take lovely pics!
DeleteI do love the moon...and I'm always looking to see what it looks like. I want to put one of those moon phase widgets on my sidebar!
DeleteWow Betsy I love this Taylor Photo look awesome!!
Deletethanks...wasn't he cute at 13? I love that picture of him. :)
Deleteyes he IS so cute dear!!
Deletewhere does the time go? they grow up way too fast. He'll be 21 this July!
DeleteWell i dont believe my twins will have 18 in june!!still i think they are kids:(
DeleteI'm commenting on your last post - the birds - Betsy. You see all those birds in your yard? You are so lucky!! I am very jealous! Your pics are beautiful!! I teach preschool and the children today were very "out of sorts". Ha! Anyway, my teaching partner mentioned it was a full moon last night - don't know that I buy into that theory but it was a bit of an "off" day!! Thanks for blogging Betsy - always enjoyable. Kelley
ReplyDeleteoh, I do buy into that full moon stuff! haha. I know some people that act very looney on the full moon! haha. And I have a friend who is an RN who says that they schedule extra staff on full moons at the hospital because crazy people do crazy things! haha.
DeleteThanks about the birds...yes...I took all of these from my yard. Still waiting on all the finches, wrens, and hopefully a titmouse and woodpecker! I live in Ohio...no special place for birds ..I don't know why they congregate here! lol. :)
wow beautiful moon shot...that might catch my eye and distract me a bit as well...and i think we read that book until it fell apart...smiles.
DeleteGreat shots! I love looking at the moon. Always amazing.
ReplyDeletethanks, Michelle. Is your school class a little more crazy when it's the full moon?
DeleteBeautiful moon shots! I can never get one so clear as that!
ReplyDeletethanks, mari. I have to hold my breath when I have the zoom on that full...haha...and I even think my heartbeat can make it blurry! I think that's why people use tripods. haha.
DeleteStill trying to get back into my routines. Love your A-Z shots even though I haven't commented on every one.
ReplyDeleteThese moon shots are wonderful. Reminds me of a song Frank Sinatra sang, and Don gave me the record when we were dating...."It's not the pale moon that excites me, thrills or delights me....oh no...it's just the nearness of you! Still melts my heart.
BTW ~ the flashback picture of Taylor...Oh my..put lipstick and long hair and you have Betsy. I knew you favored...but that shot really show it. Sending Hugs
still melts your heart...aw, that is so sweet. :)
Deleteyes, there is no mistaking that taylor is mine. haha. The Mister's family is all fair, blond and blue-eyed.
The moon is quite distracting, isn't it? Nice pictures. :)
ReplyDeleteyes, it's been so lovely! thanks for visiting!
DeleteSimply gorgeous! You've inspired me to dig out my telescope. Thank you, Betsy =)
ReplyDeleteyou have a telescope? Oooh...I'm so jealous! That would be very fun!
DeleteAwesome photos! It is My Darling's birthday and a full moon. I should have baked up a batch of those half moon (or whatever they are) cookies. I need to take my camera outside.
ReplyDeletethose little almond crescents? yum. Or you could have just did cut out circles and called them full moons. lol. Happy Birthday to him! :)
DeleteYou almost got run over because of a full moon
ReplyDeleteLMAO if there was no pictures I bet you know where the mind would go of this loon..hahahaha
Oh I crack myself up
As the cat eat the tail of the weiner pup
Great shots though
Like the close ups you show
But the one driving was very neat
As it looks oh so umm sweet
Stole your word
Bloody hell that is absurd
Scream blue murder if you must
Now this is bloody well going bust..haha
you're calling yourself a loon?
Deletehow appropriate at this full moon
you are acting a little more crazy than most days
maybe you have breathed in too much fur and are in a haze?
Orlin bit that poor dog's tail?
Did he let out a little wail?
Ask him if it was pure beef
or pork byproducts as he did eat.
Glad you got some pictures though
those will be fun to see at your show.
you're going to drive your family crazy with all that bloody crap
they'll send you home early without your sunday nap! lol.
LOL I call myself a loon all the time
DeleteOr just crazy when I rhyme
I guess we can blame the moon
Or maybe all the extra hair at this dune
Yeah he chowed down on the tail
A little yelp came but not a wail
I guess he liked how it went back and forth a bit
And decided it was a hit
Never really ate it though
Just a nibble and then rolled around as the weiner took the stairs to the basement below..hahaha
I stray from saying the bloody outloud so far
But you never know I may have to say it at this other bar
And we have monday off too
So that is prob when I'll leave this zoo
poor little weiner dog
Deleteshould know by now at that hall
that cats like tails that wiggle
and little toys that jiggle
any movement is just enticement
to play and have some excitement
if he didn't know that with 11 there
now with 13 he'll remember at that lair.
did I get those numbers right? 11 or is it 12?
and yeah, I know I'll soon pass that shelf.
lol. The mom comes to eat
but hasnt bought the little beasts.
yet.
:)
don't venture into the litter room
or you might let out a 'bloody' and cause doom.
lol.
LOL you were one off at this sea
DeleteAs there are 12 here that cause glee
13 if you count the mutt
Who I walked to help him get over being bit on the butt..hahaha
So it is 14 now with my two
Quite the zoo
And yes I cringe when I go into the litter room
To my ocd that place just screams doom..haha
12? Well, things are cheaper by the dozen you know
Deletebut maybe not with cats as they can eat a load.
Maybe that next litter will never be brought here
and the queen of cats crown can stay up there!
yeah, not likely I know
I'm doomed the title to show.
Two more toms have come around
now that really made me frown
chasing after little Oreo and Grey
I guess they smell good to them today.
lol.
haha time to break out the pellet gun
DeleteOr hide them until the snip snip is done
For if you have two more
That give you a litter at your shore
You will surely be overloaded with cats
Be like a herd of rats
But you will surely earn your crown
In every town
Perfect moon shots. Maybe that moon is made of gouda... :)
ReplyDeletegouda? yum. Pass the triscuts. lol...
DeleteI can't get pictures of the moon like this...unbelievable! I have always loved the moon. (o:
ReplyDeletewell, I KNOW you have a better camera than me! Seriously! You're the best photographer I know! :)
DeleteBetsy, cool shots of the moon. Really like how you put it's size in perspective with the one above the store and the other while driving. Thanks
ReplyDeletethanks, Fred...always fun to try to get a good photograh. The crescents are actually my favorite over the full moons!
DeleteCannot get over your photos. I'm continually enchanted.
ReplyDelete"Good Night Moon", my favorite children's book. It still brings tears of nostalgia to this mommy.
Oh, such beautiful shots of a glorious moon!! Wishing you and yours a happy Easter, Betsy!!
ReplyDeletethanks, tanna....enjoy your weekend, too! Do you read Good Night Moon to your little men? ;)
DeleteVery nice!! But you know what they say about a moon like that...that's when the crazies come out to play!!!
ReplyDeleteyep...that is for sure! hahaha. I've seen that happen before! I've even seen them post weird things on their blogs on the full moon!
DeleteAre you stretching your stomach out today in anticipation of your feast tomorrow? Be sure and take pictures! :) (of the food...not your tummy) lol.
Hi Betsy I love crescent rolls!!
ReplyDeleteooh...me, too! They are our favorite but I only make them on special holidays. The dough has been rising in the refrigerator all night so I'll roll them up and bake them today. yum!
DeleteI hope to make some day, oh dear Im so tired (my parents are here) and have to make a lot still:)
Deletedrink some coffee, gloria! ha. Hope you have a good weekend with your parents there! How nice! I have a lot of little things to do today to make dinner tomorrow easier and faster. I hate to be rushed in that last hour. ha.
DeleteI taked one right now dear! I have a terrible headache.
DeleteYou dont believe this:the kids have other cold:(
Oh no!
DeleteIs not my best day dear:(
DeleteHopr you have a nice Easter Eve! Blessings!
Excellent shots! Thanks for sharing such a lovely moon with us. You can moon us any time, haha!
ReplyDeleteHi Betsy .. "ours" was full and fluttery too - as it floated around the trees and the evening clouds ... full cloud now - so suspect that's the end fo the moon for a few days ... and we might get rain - that's good news .. Happy Easter ... cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteBeautiful moon - the same one that I can see, isn't that amazing (though I have never taken such a good photo). Wishing you a very happy Easter, Betsy, full of God's rich blessings for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteI love that thought...that we all see the same moon. Makes the world seem a little smaller, doesn't it? :)
DeleteThe moon was shining brightly here too! It made me think of the song Moon River. I suppose I'm dating myself a little by that statement; nevertheless it is a beautiful song.
ReplyDeleteYour pics are simply lovely! Did you serenade your five men with a song? ;-)
http://youtu.be/5QaFd59bjCE
Oh, I know that song. Maybe I'm older than you think. ha. My parents had it on a record album and played it all the time!
DeleteAnd no, I didn't serenade them. lol They roll their eyes when I do things like that. haha.
Just mesmerising. I love the moon and always stop to marvel at its glory. When I first saw the title of your post, Betsy, I thought it was about the lovely children's book of the same name! Wishing you and yours a Happy Easter weekend! xox Suzanne
ReplyDeletehappy easter, Suzanne. So nice to see you here! xo
DeleteLovely post- lovely moon! x
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous full moon! What a beautiful shot you took~
ReplyDeleteGreat moon photos, Betsy...especially your final shot. I'm enjoying your so very fun A-Z posts.
ReplyDeleteThere is something about a full moon that is enchanting. I'll never forget the full moon that hung above our the lake right outside our camper window about 15 years ago. I still feel its magic.
ReplyDeleteHope you and yours have a wonderful Easter celebration!
We've had some amazing evenings of full moon in the UK too. I love those photographs.
