I've joined in the A to Z Challenge for April!
Come back tomorrow for the letter G!
♥
I am awaiting the return of those pretty little goldfinches that visited last summer.
ReplyDeleteI love your robin photo.
Deleteaw...I love goldfinches! They haven't arrived yet.
DeleteI took the Robin photo today...I think she's considering a place for a nest! Lovely spot, huh?
Is it an apple tree?
Deleteit's a golden crab apple. I going to miss those blossoms when the wind eventually takes them down!
DeleteYou have a little nature conserve in your yard, Betsy... and wild kitties! Love it all. blessings to you ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteI know...can you believe all the birds with 9 cats about? But I'm glad to have both...so fun to watch!
DeleteSee you found you F with ease
ReplyDeleteAs the birds sit outside and tease
Wanting to get their picture taken with a pose
While causing the cats woes
Sure have quite the array
On display at your bay
Nice seeing them all is one
Whether under snow or sun
Yes, once I really thought about it
DeleteI was surrounded with the answer where I sit.
And look at the nice sweet poem you wrote
about the birds that float my boat.
Have you arrived at the other lair?
Are you choking on cat hair?
lol.
Nope tomorrow morning that will come due
DeleteAnd choking on cat hair is all but true
But at least the cat chases them off
And makes them scoff..haha
haha...I'll think of you
Deletedriving for an hour or two
with the two in the back
crying like they're having a heart attack.
So, do you brush all the cats and vacuum, too
because that's what a good man would do
especially if the ocd kicked in
hope you bring lots of empty Pringle tins.
Or do you just do as you please
and sit there and sneeze?
hahaha.
making good progress here on a few cats
Marmy was sitting in my lap!
then jumped up on my desk and took a nap!
Have a week to befriend them all
so they can go to the snip-snip hall.
Pffft my ocd turns off at home
DeleteOr I just lock myself in a dome
Meaning my room
And if any jump in Orlin and Cassie give them doom..hahaha
So I am safe from any more strat
Just two I have to still do at the other mat
As we drive and they meow away
Not wanting to go to that other bay
Guess I'm not a good man
But of some of the cats just not a fan
As they like to mark because of my two
And that is just ummm ewwww
Hopefully they'll all go snip snip
And won't give you any lip
your photos are just amazing, I also love the eggs you did in the previous post, I did some with onion skins boiled , they produce a beautiful color as well, and beets, make pink ones, I think colors are so lovely and delicate,
ReplyDeleteI'm going to try that way next time...I think the color will be a nit richer. It was fun, though!
DeleteAh Betsy so nice and lovely pics:)

WOW! What a variety! Those are beautiful. Can you send me an email on how you do the photo spreads...they are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteit's Picasa3...a free download from Google! Really easy to use!
DeleteLovely shots. I've been having some fun with Picassa 3, thanks to you. Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteIt's fun, isn't it? I love their picnik, too but they are ending it :( I need to find a replacement for it.
DeleteWhy are my grackles so dull here? that bird looks almost tropical!
ReplyDeletewell, mine are dull in the shade but they are blue like that with the sun on them...and this one is a male, I'm sure. Most people think they look mean, but I love to watch them nest and raise a family. They are such sweet, attentive parents!
DeleteBetsy, you have so many beautiful birds in your area. Your photos are incredible! Have a wonderful Good Friday and a Happy Easter. Connie :)
ReplyDeletethanks, Connie. As you can see, I enjoy them a lot. We have trees close to the windows, which makes spying on them all the easier! ha.
DeletePerfect choice for "F". I really like the robin.
ReplyDeletethanks, Magpie...I had to fit my birds in somewhere in the alphabet! ha. But I'm sure it won't be the last! Maybe I'll be able to photo a nest for N. There are a lot of them being made but I don't have a clear shot of any yet.
DeleteWhat a great bird sanctuary you have. Incredible!
ReplyDeleteI have a snack for you to try... celery and salsa. Can't stop eating it!
oooh...I'll have to try that! I have both! I love both! ha.
DeleteOh my goodness!! These are perfect beautiful pretty birds!! Awwwww they're stunning!! Love them!! Yay! Take care

DeleteThese pictures are beautiful - such vivid colors!
ReplyDeletethank you! And thanks for visiting! :)
Deleteah Now I can see well!! in my laptop, I love N° 5, but all are amazing! xxx
ReplyDeleteI think No5 is everyone's favorite. I should post a larger picture of that soon. I hope she makes a nest!
DeleteGloria ~ I have blackberry icecream swirling around in my maker right now! Mmmmm!
Deleteoh I told you ! my favorite Ice cream is Blackberry I love it!!Have a lovely day! lol
DeleteFabulous bird pictures, Betsy. Also, I like your new header. What a lovely view to have out your kitchen window.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part about spring is the blooming trees! I really dislike summer, though, and when the blooms fall and the heat comes, I'm wishing for fall! ha.
DeleteBluejays are my favorite birds. I’m not sure why. Maybe because when I was younger, blue was my favorite color, so I decided bluejays were blue, and therefore had to be my favorite bird.
ReplyDelete~Aidyl
www.aidylewoh.blogspot.com
they are one of my favorites, too! I love their feathers!
DeleteThese are amazing photographs. 1 and 2 are so adorable and 6 is really cool looking,I'm thinking kind of like a sci-fi bird. And all from your backyard, that's almost unfair to have this many species so close to you, you're too lucky
ReplyDeletethanks, Fred! haha...true..maybe the Starling is named after Star Wars. :) I put out seed and I think the word spreads about the bird population. :)
DeleteNumber four is so striking, it looks like it was enhanced in PhotoShop... but I know better.
ReplyDeleteHi Betsy - great photos .. love them and they're so clear .. amazing shots - love your montages .. cheers and hope you're having a great Easter weekend .. and the boys aren't eating too many eggs?! Cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteSuch attractive birds - and don't you have a variety visiting your garden. We see none of those here, though we do have robins and doves they are different colourations.
