B is for Berries

These berries were part of my lunch today.
Here they are in my favorite vintage berry colander,
washed and ready to sprinkle over yogurt.
Beauty in the ordinary, right?
What's your favorite berry?

    1. more than one face a week
      might make everyone scream
as they already think I'm crazy
and my brain a little hazy.
So we went with faceless ones
and ate them up one by one.

    2. haha so you saved the ones with the face
And they didn't get chowed down at any pace
That will sure make them smile
Not getting added to the to be eaten pile

  13. Raspberries, why has nobody chosen raspberries - the finest berry by far. Indeed, a dish of fresh raspberries sprinkled with sugar must be in the top five greatest pleasures known to man (or woman) kind.

  14. I'm with Alan! Red rasberries are my favorite, but they are pricey---so blueberries are more common on my table. Just thinking about red rasberries makes me smile. Yummy!!!!!!!!!!!

  19. Yum, those berries look quite tasty, and nice picture of them. Strawberries are my favorite berry. I've always been fond of them and I started liking them even more when pregnant. I remember going to one of the local farm "stands" in early summer during first trimester when my sense of smell had just increased. I walked into the building and the scent of strawberries filled the air. I could almost taste them.

I have strawberry plants in my backyard which I'm hoping to get a chance to transplant in a sunnier spot along with protecting from the local wildlife.

  23. I love all berries but, as I don't grow them, they can be expensive. Raspberries are my favourite - it used to be that they were a seasonal treat when you couldn't buy them out of season, but now they import them all the time.
