A is for April

around my yard this weekend

Showers wash clean winter's remains
Replacing coats with jackets again.
Budding trees and allergies
Garden plans, sketches and dreams.
Green plush outdoor carpet,
Slip on your wellies; rain puddles are targets.
The earth becomes alive once more
and birds their nests will make for sure.

~~Betsy

I've joined the A to Z Challenge for 2012!
Every day in the month of April we post with a consecutive letter of the alphabet, with
Sundays off (except for the 1st). This is my first time joining in, so I'm excited to see
not only if I can do it, but to meet a whole new group of bloggers.
To read more about it click HERE.
There are over 1500 bloggers linked up!

Come back tomorrow for the letter B!

  6. Cheater it isn't the first yet
    But I suppose I won't fret
    As it almost is here
Still earlier down there I fear
Then again it is the 1st somewhere
May even be the 2nd at some lair
And now I went off on a whole other rant
Instead of saying what a pretty plant
    And love the kitty too
Sure we'll see many more crop up at your zoo
    Also rhyming like that cat
    How about that

    1. It's the first in Europe already...and some of them are playing along.
besides, I always post in the evening as I play my songs.
You're going to teach my kitty population how to rhyme?
If they all do it together that will really be a crime.
      lol.

    2. LOL oh that would be grand
      Instead of a band stand
You coul have a rhyme time
      That just be sublime
      Sure beats any old mime
And it would not be a crime

    3. A cat choir could be grand
maybe you could write an anthem and tune for a band?

      Delete
    4. haha that I could do
Even have it sung for you
      Although not by me
As that would not cause glee

  7. Hi!! I just went and spent un-budgeted money on flowers and plants for the front of our home. We moved in last year this time, and it was torturous not plating anything!!

My post was for my friend's adoption fund raising, but my husband has actually agreed to us beginning the adoption road. We are only in the VERY beginning stages, but I am so excited/terrified to see what God has for us!

    Great to be "back"!

  22. Hi, checking out your blog for the A-Z Challenge. Love this short, but sweet, hint of spring. If it wasn't cold and sleeting here, I would throw on my shorts and a tank and run around the yard. But, that will just have to wait a few more weeks here in Mass. I look forward to hearing more, I'll be back.
