We've had some amazing clouds this week here in Ohio.
Dark blue skies, reflecting sun and wind have really made them stand out!
See the black cricket taking a ride?
I thought this one looked like Dumbo's head. He's even grey! His head is in the center, looking to the right. See his little trunk pointing up and his long ear stretching out on the left?
No? Well, I've been known to see faces in my food, too. ha.
As the sun set they turned pink and yellow! And this big peak opened it's mouth...
...and looking like a big hippo, ate the little grey cloud that used to be Dumbo!
I know...I need to get out more. :)
♥
great shots! I love to photograph the clouds too. I took some this week as well. Tried to upload them but the computer must have a bellyache. It didn't work.
ReplyDeleteoh dear...hope the bellyache goes away so you can see your photos! ha. Still nice weather all this week, Martha! Maybe spring really is here to stay!
Deleteha very cool...i love cloud spotting...i kinda see dumbo there....

DeleteI lkove clouds Betsy is for the wind mayb eyou have in the spring these look awesome!!
ReplyDeleteyes, I think the wind was helping change the shapes! It was fun to watch.
Deletethe wind is typical of spring, i born in a place with s lot og winds an the skies are likr these:)
DeleteI have spring allergies, though and my eyes are so itchy! I think that's why I love winter....I feel better in the winter! ha.
DeleteIt was a warm beautiful day today, though. Your leaves are turning! So pretty!
the kids are allergic too:)
DeleteOh dear. I have them in the fall, too...ragweed. Do they?

ReplyDeleteI need to, too! ha. But I'm a hermit and have to force myself. I did get out tonight however and hung out with some other girls! :)
DeleteGreat cloud shots. I like the different colors that were showing through. hippos and all.
ReplyDeleteI knew you would see the shapes...being an art teacher and all! :)
DeleteHi Betsy,
ReplyDeleteI like looking at the clouds...even better is a blue sky...which we are really lacking lately.
I posted about your pedicure party today on my blog. 8~)
Now, I just have to decide how to paint my toe nails.8~)
Take care,
Nancy
you are so sweet to do that...thank you!
DeleteI need to do my toes, too! Hopefully Friday. :)
You just have a great imagination!
ReplyDeleteI love the cricket one.
haha..me, too! And I didn't notice him until I uploaded the photo to this post! :)
DeleteI like the Dumbo cloud. It really does look like a baby Dumbo. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat do you see in this cloud?
http://justseven.blogspot.com/2008/06/watching-sky.html
Oh WOW. Your cloud is so cool! I thought it looked like a tornado. When I enlarged it I can see two faces. One in the center very clearly and another very close on the left. The second one looks like a skull. Amazing!
DeleteWow sure cloudy at your bay today
ReplyDeleteThe first I see a turtle on display
I see dumbo in the second one though
The next something splitting down the middle quite slow
And the last a zombie hand
Isn't that just grand..haha
Your turtle is about to step on my cricket
Deleteand then it will have a fit
A zombie hand is better than his foot
which we'll see next week without his boot.
lol.
That was an eye rhyme at the end
DeleteCheating with such a trend
And the poor cricket can't chrip
For the turtle sat on him then gave a burp
but you taught me the eye rhyme
Deleteand said it was so sublime
or is that only when you do it
with others it causes a fit?
haha no it is fine to do
DeleteThat is true
But I admit the eye rhyme I never knew
Until Grammar Nazi mentioned it in the comment view
I'm sure he'll be here
Deleteto take the credit with a cheer. :)
haha that's why I beat him to the punch
DeleteAs I had that hunch..haha
Those are so pretty! I love how you can appreciate these simple things :)
ReplyDeletesimple things like
Deleteknees that don't itch
and two kinds of shampoo?
black and white cookies
and clean porta loos?
hahaha.
sorry...I'm in rhyme...just came from Pats. haha.
LMAO oh that was a good one
DeleteOh so much fun
You just made me scratch my knee.
DeleteI'm going to run out of body butter after all this scratching you two make me do!!!!!
I'll just add that to your bill from the time you tried to make me a bingeing mute and I went up a few pant sizes! Don't think I forgot...
a binging mute...oh...LOL!
DeleteLOL add that to the list as well
DeleteToday she started scratching because I rang the Leper bell..hahaha
I did read about that
Deleteyou love teasing her, Pat.
ha.
But who wouldn't itch when talking about lepers?
just typing the words here gave me a shiver.
hahaha after that monk episode I can say it without twitching anymore
DeleteBut watching that made me want to shower forever more..haha
One of my favorite pastimes is to play with clouds.
ReplyDeleteYou must of had a great time because they are wonderful!
I did have a good time. I missed the best ones though...I was out driving and didn't have my camera! :(
DeleteThey are great looking clouds and I see all those things you pointed out. I almost thought the cricket looked more like a frog, until I noticed the antennas.
ReplyDeleteyes, it does look a little like a frog!
DeleteIt's cloud illusions I recall,
ReplyDeleteyou don't need to get out more at all.
Brilliant, Alan!
Deletewell, that's good to know! ;)
DeleteI thought so, too, Silver. :)
DeleteWe have had excellent clouds too. A friend said she saw one that looked just like a dog's paw. She called to say Buster had made it to heaven. (o:
ReplyDeleteHey, Betsy, just catching up. I loved the cloud pictures! If I could paint, I'd do skyscapes.
Deleteaw..now that is just the sweetest thing, Anita! :)
DeleteWhen I was little I wanted to go up in the sky and bounce on the clouds. These clouds would be prefect for bouncing on!
