What I Did Wednesday #21

  1. Watched kittens playing in the snow.
  2. Washed up a box of keepsakes that I discovered a mouse family had invaded when we had that problem two years ago. Yeah, eww. But everything is fresh and clean now and packed in airtight bags. This is Taylor's homecoming outfit when he was born. Awww.
  3. Did quite a bit of bird watching as those birds really seemed to be posing for me today!
  4. Spent some time on the treadmill!
  5. Clipped coupons and made my grocery list.
  6. The triplet's little homecoming outfits. Aww again. ha.
  7. Talked to Frankie. And noted she has a bloom! I guess that means she's happy. :)
  8. Mrs. Dove was among the birds today.
  9. Fed Nugget and played with him as he kept hiding in the hallway and jumping out to scare me. ha. What a ham!
  10. Watered the indoor plants.
  11. Met a girlfriend for lunch at this little spot in our village. Girl talk is nice when living with five men. :)
  12. Enjoyed watching the snow fall. We only got a dusting, though! I'd like a little more!
  13. Did several loads of laundry.
  14. Lifted my girlie weights. :)
I hope you had a nice day, too!

  2. Hi, Gloria~ I just saw your other comment. Yes, that chickadee is a flirt. lol. :) Don't show Nugget's picture to your daughter or she'll want one again! :)

    ReplyDelete
  3. Yes call you "baby" OM all the birds are flirt!
Yes she wanted a bunny again!

    ReplyDelete
  4. Yeah, all the male birds. Mrs Dove didn't flirt, though. But she posed nicely! :)

    ReplyDelete
  5. You seem to have a way of inspiring nicknames.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Good to see Frankie thriving so well! Awww baby clothes--don't think I'll ever get over them. :)

I went to the dentist, cleaned the bathrooms--mine, not the dentists. :) Oh, and got groceries. :)

    ReplyDelete
  7. aah the men Betsy always made the same!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Silver is cause Besty say the chickadee call her "baby"

    ReplyDelete
  9. Silver ~ seems that way, doesn't it?

Rebecca ~ I'm so glad you didn't have to clean the bathrooms while you were at the dentist! lol...

Gloria ~ yes, they are all the same! hahaha.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Rebecca I try to dont think all I made today:( anyway I laundry too, and cook...

    ReplyDelete
  11. I know. She's a big hit with all the birds... and the cats... and probably a few animals no one's even thought of yet...

    ReplyDelete
  12. Cats, birds, bunny and a great place to eat are my favorites. Great shots and great collage.

  14. Can't you just picture an ocd version of me scrubbing public restrooms because they aren't clean enough? Not much like me.:)

    ReplyDelete
  15. Thanks, Larry! It was a nice day!

Rebecca ~ well, I never think public restrooms are clean enough but that makes me want to stay away, not clean them! lol.

Gloria ~ I made a new buttermilk biscuit recipe for dinner. They were really gooc!

    ReplyDelete
  16. What did you have for lunch Betsy?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Rebecca ~ I had potato soup! It was really good...nice on a cold, snowy day!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Mmmm, sounds good! We had sunshine--no snow. :(

    ReplyDelete
  19. Gee, Betsy, I'm not sure why you say you need "girl talk." It seems like you get plenty right here on your blog, haha! Cooking, kids, cleaning... !!!

    ReplyDelete
  20. What nice Betsy maybe you can post it!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Silver ~ well, that's true. But face to face is nice, too!

Gloria ~ yes, I might do that! Alex really liked them, too! I had to tell him "no more" after 5 of them. ha.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Oh, sure, face to face is always better. I agree. Very much, doll.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Isn't it funny that ladies need girl talk, but men never say they need "boy talk" ?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Rebecca, that's because most "boys" would rather be talking to "girls."

    ReplyDelete
  25. Rebecca ~ did your husband bid on anything at the auction the other night?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Nugget sounds quite fun
Trying to scare you and maybe knock you down as you run
Yeah mice getting into things is eww
Thankfully Orlin would make them stew
    That still be eww
    But what can one do
    The birds are invading too
You sure have an ever eventful zoo..haha

    ReplyDelete
  27. Pat ~ Nugget is full of sass
and trips me, cutting me off at the pass.
His ears flop up and down as he runs.
Really is a lot of fun!

The zoo is just about full!
Hardly even room for a bull.
Maybe some fish and a peacock, too.
    Then I will be through.

    ReplyDelete
  28. beautiful photos , busy lady!

    ReplyDelete
  29. What about Brian's goat
Maybe you should borrow Noah's boat
Then you could have them all two by two
Or nine by nine as is the case with you haha

    ReplyDelete
  30. Pat ~
    nine by nine
    would be just fine
    unless it was Tarsier
then that's too many I fear!

    ReplyDelete
  31. No, he took some Amish to the auction. He wasn't really "shopping" just the driver. :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. Although he did speak rather admiringly about some goats. :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. I think I'm talking to myself......Gloria, Betsy, Silver? Is anyone there?

    ReplyDelete
  34. I am. Steers, goats, chickens... Hubby has quite an interest in animals. Glad you get some attention, too, haha!

    ReplyDelete
  35. admiringly? Well, they are cute...with those beards and all. :) And they aren't picky eaters!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I was referring to the goats, of course. :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. Silver, oh all the animals are important, but I'm VERY IMPORTANT. :)

Betsy, He keeps talking about wanting to raise meat goats. :)

    ReplyDelete
  38. Oh good, for a second there I thought you were talking about my hubby, and Silver. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  39. actually, The Mister would fit into that category, too...beard, and loves to eat. ha.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Well,...... the ones I know aren't picky eaters. :) Do you live in Amish country Betsy?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Well, some people like my beard... I've been complimented on my blue eyes and silver whiskers.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Awwww, hubby has blue eyes too, and there is some silver in his whiskers.....maybe you ARE related. :)

    ReplyDelete
  43. True, silver....that's a handsome combination. :)

I don't live near Amish country, but there is a beautiful section in northern Ohio that is.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Hannah and I went out gallivanting today. We stopped in a few stores, browsed the antique shop, and stopped to feed the water fowl down by the lake before heading home again. I managed to do some laundry, drink a few cups of coffee, and bake two loaves of banana bread, one with walnuts and chocolate chips. Guess it turned out to be a pretty good day.

Love the photo of the kitties in the snow, and the baby clothes too. I think my baby are all gone now. :( Ah, well, I can buy new ones for grandbabies then. :)

    ReplyDelete
  45. Betsy, I didn't know the Mister had a beard. :)

    ReplyDelete
  46. Handsome? Well, I may have been called that once or twice, personally. Not putting words in your mouth of course, doll. Ha!

    ReplyDelete
  50. I think all should have a Tarsier Man
Although nine by nine I also wouldn't be a fan

    ReplyDelete
  51. You have busy days and they always look like fun.
There is always a picture of an animal, bird & cat or bunny. Fun!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Martha ~ sounds like you had a nice day...love all the baking you got done!

Pat ~ I do agree that one T man is enough.
We don't need more of that stuff!
