Haha. you did it again. lol. Love it. Cute. and funny too. I can hear it now, "darling tweet, you were born in a boot but one day you will learn to fly!"
What a place to make a nest She sure is pretty proud of her zest Hopefully no one tips the boot over Like some cat or rover It's good that the boot looks new too Then it doesn't smell ewww..haha
haha maybe she picked it up along the way After viewing the cat on display Seeing him all nice and neat And knowing she didn't want a boot that smelled like feet
thanks, kitty! I heard that it was pancake day! Maybe we should have them for dinner. :) Do you blog with The English Kitchen? She had some yummy looking ones!
Oooh, I think this might be my favorite drawing of yours so far. I like them all though. Maybe we'll see a robin or two very soon. Winter has been a bust so it might as well be spring. :)
thanks rebecca! Yes, it's almost warm enough for robins. I have daffodils about 6 inches high. Totally unheard of for February! I think that really warm week made them think it was spring. Now they want to get back into the ground! ha.
Aw I love how he made the pretty shoe into his own lovely home (-: A whole village of birds could make nests out of various fashionable shoes. Love this and great work!
Wonderful, Betsy! I was wondering if you would get a bird in your drawing, and I love that you did. And a nest, too! I especially love that your shoe is a cowboy boot, beautifully drawn, of course. Love the robin, too.
I was going to do an old work boot but changed my mind. I liked the way the colors could complement each other. And I did think about putting shoes on the bird! ha. I think your entry stole the show, though! lol...
I refuse to believe that there is a "good" Walmart anywhere!! It can't be... Walmarts are bad and Target is good! Going to a Walmart is like going to 7-11. haha
We don't have 7-11's anymore..too many drive-by shootings! No, no...haha..I don't know why we don't have them. I think United Dairy Farmers took them over. lol... There isn't any crime in Ohio (cough-cough) I don't know what you're talking about! :)
Pat I knew you would come and say just that as the smog fact must be attacked. In this case it made the criminals flee to the Walmarts up near New York City! lol.
LOL well with the cough cough that's where my mind went But it at least makes the criminal bent And sends them to the NY walmarts Where they run you down with shopping carts
hey welcome back! :) your drawing is cute! and very nicely done! hope you had a good break and I hope too that your boys are back to good health!
ReplyDeletethanks, Martha! We just have a few coughs and sniffles left now. Everyone went back to school today.
Deletesounds good! :)
Deleteyes, it IS good and the best part is I never got sick! ha. (finger's crossed!) The house is nice and quiet today, too!
Deleteit's a good thing! you not getting sick AND the quiet house :) I enjoy my quiet days too :)
DeleteI was tempted to gloat that I was first, hehe, but decided not to :) haha
Deletehaha...oh go ahead and gloat...it's always fun to be first!
DeleteExcellent!!!!!!!!!! I love the whole concept...so you and so very creative!
ReplyDeletewonderful! xo
Thanks, Heather! I saw this happen in real life once, except it was an old work boot. When I saw the new theme, I knew right away what I wanted to do!
DeleteI really like your illustration. I hope we see robins soon in the next month.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Larry. :) I did see a robin last month during a big snowfall. I think it was lost. ha.
DeleteHaha. you did it again. lol. Love it. Cute. and funny too. I can hear it now, "darling tweet, you were born in a boot but one day you will learn to fly!"
ReplyDeleteWell, you just KNEW there would be a bird, right? :)
Deleteat home in a boot...i used to wear cowboy boots back in the day...nice pic betsy...

ReplyDeleteShe sure is pretty proud of her zest
Hopefully no one tips the boot over
Like some cat or rover
It's good that the boot looks new too
Then it doesn't smell ewww..haha
Yep, no smelly-ness
Deletearound her nest
that would make her curl her nose
and her toes.
Hmm...she must be related to you
with ocd issues.
haha.
haha maybe she picked it up along the way
DeleteAfter viewing the cat on display
Seeing him all nice and neat
And knowing she didn't want a boot that smelled like feet
Yep, she's as neat as a pin
Deletechoosing a new boot to put her nest in. :)
I know you don't blame her a bit
smelly boots could cause a fit.
:)
Yep works well with my ocd
DeleteA nice sight to see
Such a well executed painting of the boot Betsy and I love the touch of it being Mrs Robin's nest. In your hands her eggs are safe.
ReplyDeletethanks, linda...this one was a lot of fun!
DeleteOh Betsy...Well Mrs Robin sure has good taste... If I took my boots off more often... Someone might make a nest it one of them.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors, and love the attitude Mrs. Robin has...This is MY house, so deal with it!!!
She does look to be gaurding her boot, doesn't she? lol....
DeleteI think Mrs. Robin looks pretty proud of herself, as well she should. Very much.
ReplyDeleteSo should you, doll, for a lot of reasons. Great drawing.
awww...you always saw the sweetest things. :)
DeleteWith some people, it's kinda hard not to...
Deleteyep...I've always said you were sweet. :)
DeleteFine. Be that way. Just quit saying it publicly! :)

DeleteOooh, I think this might be my favorite drawing of yours so far. I like them all though. Maybe we'll see a robin or two very soon. Winter has been a bust so it might as well be spring. :)

DeleteWouldn't it be a pain to be a daffodil, and stick your head out of the ground when it was warm, and then freeze your nose off when it got cold? :)
Deletewhy yes, I see your point. It would be a pain. ha. I can hear them now, "It's not spring yet? Aw, shoot!"
DeleteLovely boot, perfect for anyone, even birds :)
ReplyDeletethanks, Dina! :)
DeleteAw I love how he made the pretty shoe into his own lovely home (-: A whole village of birds could make nests out of various fashionable shoes. Love this and great work!
ReplyDeletethanks, Donna! This was a fun one, wasn't it?
DeleteBetsy this is a beautiful interpretation! So warm and comforting.
ReplyDeletethanks, dear. :) I had fun with it...and had to get my bird in there! ha.
DeleteWonderful, Betsy! I was wondering if you would get a bird in your drawing, and I love that you did. And a nest, too! I especially love that your shoe is a cowboy boot, beautifully drawn, of course. Love the robin, too.

DeleteLove the nest in a boot! You really are very creative and talented. I love all the detail in the drawing. :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. I was at Starbucks Sunday and saw black and white cookies pre-packaged! Now you know where you can get them.
Thanks, Jax. :)
DeleteHey..Starbucks! That's good to know! I nope it isn't just the NY Starbucks, though. Afterall...our Walmarts are different from yours! lol...
I refuse to believe that there is a "good" Walmart anywhere!! It can't be... Walmarts are bad and Target is good! Going to a Walmart is like going to 7-11. haha
DeleteI hope Starbucks pulls through for you :)
We don't have 7-11's anymore..too many drive-by shootings! No, no...haha..I don't know why we don't have them. I think United Dairy Farmers took them over. lol... There isn't any crime in Ohio (cough-cough) I don't know what you're talking about! :)
DeleteOK..checking out Starbucks soon!
Yes, let me know!!!
DeleteToo much smog in Ohio
DeleteSo the criminals go bye-o..haha
Pat I knew you would come and say just that
Deleteas the smog fact must be attacked.
In this case it made the criminals flee
to the Walmarts up near New York City!
lol.
LOL well with the cough cough that's where my mind went
DeleteBut it at least makes the criminal bent
And sends them to the NY walmarts
Where they run you down with shopping carts
Totally creative...dreaming of spring. I hope you had a relaxing weekend!
ReplyDeletereally cute and clever and adorable - instead of 'the lady who lives in a shoe' it's the robin
