This little guy is so fast and active that it took me 50 shots before I caught him
still long enough that he wasn't a grey blur in the photo. I'm quite certain he can
help himself to the seed without any cats catching him! Isn't he sweet? He's been entertaining me outside my window for about a week now. Maybe Mrs. Titmouse will join him in the spring!
♥
50 shots! Whoa, you've got a lot more patience than I do!
ReplyDeleteWell, we already knew that though, didn't we? ha.
ReplyDeleteVery much!
ReplyDeleteI think is beautiful betsy I love the bids pictures you take:)
ReplyDeleteI love these birds. They are at my feeders quite often.
ReplyDeleteThey are the cutest little birds! Great shot!
ReplyDeleteWow, that picture was worth the fifty tries I would say. My sunrise pic took me about ten tries, and a sunrise doesn't move. :)
ReplyDeleteGloria ~ I still cut hair for all five of them. This time it was very long...my clippers could barely get through it! ha.
ReplyDeleteWell, the 50 tries were over the course of 3 days. Sometimes he'd fly away before I even got the camera turned on!
ReplyDeleteMy ten tries were all in about five minutes while I stood barefoot and freezing on my front porch. LOL
ReplyDeleteWell, it was worth it, Rebecca...that sunrise was beautiful! Do you naturally wake up that early?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I do. Most mornings I wake up around 5:30, and put off getting up till 6:00. This morning though I would have slept later, but the baby woke up early.
ReplyDeleteAre you a morning person Betsy?
ReplyDeleteOh my. That is so early. ha. But I guess I did it when the boys were that young, too.
ReplyDeleteGloria, I need to come look at your apricots!
Well, I go to bed pretty early, so that makes a difference.
ReplyDeleteI'm a morning person in the sense that I wake up chatty and cheerful, but I like to sleep in if I can, too. :) We usually slept until 7:15 on school days.
ReplyDeleteAnd I get into bed about midnight. :)
I go to bed between 9 and 10...sometimes a little later. I'm a senior citizen at heart. :)
ReplyDeleteI dedicate my post to you with love, I dedicate only a few of posts cause I think I have to make to all my friends:)
ReplyDeleteI get up early so early Rebecca and not matter the time I go to the bed, like today I have to make dinner, iron mop the kitchen and make some cupcakes (lol)
ReplyDeleteAww, Gloria. You are SO sweet. I loved that you did that. Your pudding looks delish. Wish I was there to have a bowl of that!
ReplyDeleteDid you get it all done Gloria?
ReplyDeleteAre you a morning person Silver?
ReplyDeleteI seem to wake up early nowadays whether I want to or not. I'm a night person who thinks nothing of staying up to 2, 3, 4... Sometimes it's already light out by the time I get to bed.
ReplyDeleteYou said Rebecca If I made all the dessert? yes
ReplyDeleteSomething dark happens to my personality about 11:00pm. It's better if I don't stay up late...I lose friends that way. :)
ReplyDeleteOr sorry Rebecca ou talk about I have to make nope,I go now, to make all this I said:)
ReplyDeleteIt's so pretty Gloria...the dessert I mean. Can you mail me some?
ReplyDeleteI prefer go to bed early but I cannot:) I love to raed in bed
ReplyDeleteIf I can of corse Rebecca cause you are so sweet:)
ReplyDeleteOh my Gloria, I thought you meant that was what you had to do all day not just this evening. You are a busy lady!
ReplyDeleteRebecca ~ dark? lol...you crack me up. I'm sure everyone there prefers you in bed early, then. ha.
ReplyDeleteGloria ~ you eat dinner later than we do! We eat about 6:00.
50 shots...my you are persistant...but it paid off...smiles...
ReplyDeleteWell, I get snarky, and rude, or else sort of slap happy, and I laugh at things that aren't funny. That kind of dark.......not "criminal" dark.
ReplyDeletelol. Well, when I'm overly tired, I cry easily or feel like slapping someone. lol. Everyone benefits if I'm full of coffee. ha.
ReplyDeleteYeah me too, my hubby has been known to bring me coffee, and beat a hasty retreat while I drink it. Aren't we terrible?
ReplyDeleteNo, we're over-worked! ha.
ReplyDeleteWhat would we do if coffee prices suddenly went through the roof. We would have to sell our furniture to support our habit. LOL
ReplyDeleteGotta run have a good night Betsy, Gloria, Silver, good night Gracie. :)
ReplyDeleteIt would be worth it. ha. We could move in with Gloria...they have wonderful coffee down there. :) We could iron for her and she could feed us! ha.
ReplyDeleteSorry I was seeing the dinner, Rebecca this is cause I live in the countryside, always have more to do, well all have a lot of to do.
ReplyDeleteyes betsy they dinner about 20:30 or 9 but really when they are childs I give them more early but know the times goes and Im making something and remmeber I have to make dinner you know.

ReplyDeletePat ~
ReplyDeleteyep, we had to keep the numbers nice and round
so nobody's OCD would come around.
The cats will never catch this bird.
it's so quick, it's absurd.
Won't even try another camera shot
now that I did it once, I'm happy with what I got.
So you watched the Walton's too?
Well, 'good night, Mary Ellen', to you, too!
Or did you have a crush on Erin or Elizabeth?
Maybe all three would be my bet.

At my mat

ReplyDeleteHe's gorgeous! I do need to get over to that park where the birds eat out of one's hand. Today would have been perfect... Too bad I didn't think of it.
ReplyDeleteThose titmice are fast. I have the same problem with the bridled ones here. Lots of captures of, what....?

Oh, Gloria ~ it's a dove. It says "White Winged Dove". That is very similar to our Mourning Dove. So pretty. They are one of my favorites. Thanks for the clip. You'll have fun watching the activity around that nest! That is one of my favorite things about spring...the busy birds. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot! I just love titmice (is that how you say it?) because they are so active at my feeders :-)
ReplyDeleteI think it must be 'titmice' :) 'Titmouses' just sounds wrong. lol...
ReplyDeleteI find lovely the video tomorrow I will try take a picture if the dogs let me Betsy!
ReplyDeleteOK, Gloria. I hope you get a picture. :)
ReplyDeleteI know I'm getting here late Betsy, but I haven't been online since yesterday morning. I saw that picture of the titmouse. I am so envious. I have never, ever gotten a picture of a bird that is this good. And your new banner pic is wonderful. You have such a great eye and you always have such clean, perfect edits. I know you're a busy woman, but you should be a professional photographer.
ReplyDeleteWow, thanks Anne. That really means a lot coming from you. I was thrilled to get the Titmouse. It was SUCH a challenge. ha. Thanks for the encouragement. And you know, my middle name is Anne...with the 'e', too! :)
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better, too...
Another birdie for Betsy. You are a magnet gal. Blessings
