Song Sparrow

He loves the seed in my yard, but during the winter I miss his loud, boisterous song! His whole body puffs up as he sings. In the winter he is quiet! See the snow on his tail?
I think he looks like Ben Franklin here. Or maybe he's suffering from S.A.D. ? ha.
I think he was posing for me!

  17. Gloria ~ I made sure my plant Frankie was moist and misted today! :) And I found out that she originally comes from Peru! She has a couple of buds that I'm hoping will bloom if I keep her watered!

    We've had very few birds visiting us lately, as I've been bad about keeping the feeder filled. I'm SO tired of the squirrels coming by and gobbling everything up!

  48. He really does look a little like Benjamin Franklin there. I'm not sure how I feel about that. It kind of scares me a little...lol!!! Every since I saw the Birds as a little girl, I've been a bit leery...
