- I've been on a green tea kick lately. After I've finished my daily pot of coffee, of course. Did you know that green tea is extra good for you? Just 4 cups a day helps fight cancer, dementia, high cholesterol, heart disease and obesity.
- I can tell winter has really settled in. Static cling in my hair brush, dry noses, and skin have brought out the humidifier in our house....and lots of body lotion!
- I cleaned my jewelry this week. Would you believe I had cookie dough under my diamond that I think was from the holiday baking? ha.
- You know it rains when ever I run errands and go to the grocery, right? Because of having sick kids home from school on and off, I changed my grocery day three times this week. It rained every single day I chose. ha.
- My bangs need trimmed. Just sayin'.
- Speaking of my hair, I received my Certificate of Appreciation today from Locks of Love. My ponytail arrived safe and sound and they said thank you.
- I'm craving a peanut butter cookie, or two. :)
♥
Wow, this was almost like a WIDW post!
ReplyDeleteFirst, sorry Fox and Gloria tooo slow, now off I go!
ReplyDeleteStrat!
ReplyDeletelook at that...all three at the top have the same time! So close! Pat, you probably typed one too many words. ha.
ReplyDeleteBetter luck next time, Pat!
ReplyDeleteCertificates and jewerly with dough
ReplyDeleteYeah hate that stupid dry skin crap, have that at my show
Need to move some place warm
Where cold is never the norm
Grocery shopping and rain
Sure like to go hand and hand at your lane
Maybe if you did a rain rain go away
If might come again another grocery day..haha
3 more words than the Fox
ReplyDeleteHmph don't that curl my socks
Pat ~ of course! I should chant that rhyme
ReplyDeletewhen I want the weather to be sublime.
I'll try that next week.
If it works, you'll think you're neat!
ha.
Pat ~ did you see in my comments yesterday that gloria thought orlin and cassie were imaginary pets? ha.
ReplyDeleteI like your random thoughts today, and the picture too. I was on a Green Tea China Tips from Starbucks for a long time...I need to drink for tea. Since working out, it seems my drink of prefrance is "Water"....get so thirsty.
ReplyDeleteFunny you are in the mood for peanut butter cookie, as I posted a version of one today!!
Speaking of bangs....I did it and I'm so sorry...way too short!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWanda ~ oh no~ lol....I have done that before!~ don't worry...they grow. :) Next week they will be perfect. hahaha.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had green tea for quite a while--should try some again. There is a blueberry variety that I like pretty well. mmm peanut butter cookies.
ReplyDeleteRebecca ~ maybe peanut butter granola would cure my craving? :)
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty good!! There is about two cups left from that whole batch. :) My kids like it for a snack.
ReplyDeleteIf the rain goes away
ReplyDeleteYou'll see a whole new benefit to rhyme play..haha
Yeah I saw that too
Gloria was a tad off in her view
Pat ~
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'll be able to control the weather
and send you the rain and wind on a feather.
Would you like snow?
I'll just have the clouds blow
A little sun?
I'll get right on that, hon.
lol...
The power of rhyme!
Could be a crime!
Cool blog. As I too love peanut butter cookies, followed
ReplyDeleteWell, thanks, Cross. Glad you stopped by!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to read your thoughts, way too cute! Enjoy that peanut butter, yummy! I like it by the spoonful~
ReplyDeleteI have been craving chocolate all week. Tonight I finally found that box of assorted chocolate covered nut clusters I found on sale after Christmas. :)
ReplyDeleteNancy ~ my Spencer eats it like that for breakfast every morning!
ReplyDeleteOh, Martha ~ that kind of stuff is addicting! Enjoy! (don't share with anyone!) ha.
ReplyDeleteUmmm I created a monster I think
ReplyDeleteSo you just let that rhyme idea sink
Pat ~
ReplyDeleteThe weather monster!
He needs a sponsor.
Maybe he could get an act
on your Face It Facts.
All rain and no shine
with some snow so sublime.
And maybe a flood
to make your mood go thud.
This is anice picture Betsy, usually I drink black tea or roiboss but sometimes green tea is nice:)
ReplyDeleteGloria ~ The Mister's favorite is rooibos!

I wish you'd send some my way.
I'm tired of the mist and rain.
It's really becoming a pain!
ha.
Gloria ~ I do that sometimes with Nugget...forget to feed him. And he's hopping all around my feet and following me around the house. And I say, "Aw, look at Nugget! He wants to play. How cute!' And really he is saying, "No, you! Feed me. I'm hungry!" lol.

ReplyDeleteoh yumm! I think I'll spend part of the day in the kitchen tomorrow too. I have a recipe for creamy chive rolls that begs to be made. they would go well with your soup :)
ReplyDeleteOh, creamy chive rolls. Oh my. Those would be great with soup. Wow...post the recipe some time!
ReplyDeletehopefully they'll turn out right, they are a bit sticky to handle but really good to eat :)
ReplyDeletesticky dough usually makes the most tender rolls and bread. You're making my mouth water! ha. I bet those smell wonderful baking, too!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your beautiful hair will be well loved by the person who will wear it, Betsy. Locks of Love is such a good cause.
ReplyDeleteI have a good friend undergoing chemo after ovarian cancersurgery, and she just bought her wig.
It has been raining quite a bit here lately ..still better than having ti shovel out a lot of snow!
Enjoy your weekend!
I'll be sure to post them if they turn out :)
ReplyDeleteMartha ~ yay...can't wait.
ReplyDeletePat ~ thank you. I miss my hair! ha. But it's already longer. Best wishes to your friend, too, for a full recovery.
If it helps with all of those diseases, I should be disease free, and skinny as a rail :)
ReplyDeleteI like to drink green tea at least once a day, otherwise it's the black stuff !
Your short hair style is so pretty on you, but then anything would be !
Hugs,
~Jo
Have to excuse my whether today
ReplyDeleteAs to beat the weather I got up 5 am my way
And grabbed the kitties to go to that other place
All here and won the weather race
Pat ~ I wondered why you were up before dawn
ReplyDeletesending emails while I wasn't up yet to yawn.
Well, have a nice weekend with the whole crew.
Glad you missed the bad weather, too!

ReplyDeleteMickie ~ Oh yes...I forgot how the stones can sparkle! ha. It had been way too long.
ReplyDeletestevie ~ I just bought oats yesterday and have pecans in the freezer. I'll see what I can do! :)
ReplyDeleteFun random thoughts...
ReplyDeleteLove the photo atop this post. Great angle and composition. I, too, am a fan of green tea.
Thanks, Janice. The jar, clementines and tea were just like they are pictured on my counter and they caught my eye as a beautiful still life. I just moved it to a dark background for the photo. I loved the green and orange colors together. :)
ReplyDeletegiven the wet weather (why can't it all be snow!) and sick kiddos i think you deserve 3 or 4 cookies!

Gloria ~ a bowl of that and some strawberry tiramisu and I'd be all set! ha. Oh yum.
ReplyDeletePeanut butter cookies? Yum!!! Bang trimming is suchhhh a pain. I feel you there :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I SWEAR by green tea. It helps balance everything in your body. It's great :) The Japanese serve it at work like Americans would serve coffee. I cheat though and put honey in it. It's way too bitter w/o a sweetener.
Jax ~ well, I sweeten it with a little sugar! ha.
ReplyDeleteLove Tiramisu too Betsy!
ReplyDeleteGloria ~ both your lemon and strawberry kinds looked so good.
ReplyDeleteNo new post for me tonight, by the way. Didn't want you to be looking for one. ha.

ReplyDeleteAlso I have twins but One (daughter) is veggi and the other yes love the meat!
Hi Rebecca I said her is nice a day she rest for a while, how are you dear?
ReplyDeleteHi Gloria!
ReplyDeleteYes, your son is a typical man...loves the meat! Mine do, too. Except Harry...he won't touch it! ha.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your headache. Good for you for resting this afternoon! You certainly deserve that after the couple of weeks you have had!
Hi Rebecca! How has your day been?
Yes Dito can eat all the meat you give him! (I have to care him) but Esperanza dont eat meat about 3 years. Normally I ate the same food of her!
ReplyDeleteI love veggies but I'd still be wanting some meat, too. ha.
ReplyDeleteI'd probably eat what I fixed her, but steal a few bites of his meat. lol.
I just fixed tea...green for me, roobios for The Mister. :)
Esperanza take Roiboos but she love coffe when I make she asked me (lol)
ReplyDeleteI didn't start drinking coffee until the triplets were born. But I drank tea before that and brewed it really strong. ha.
ReplyDeleteThe last years I take more tea but I love a cup of coffe in the morning!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm bad with my 12 cup pot I drink by myself! Then I fly around the house and get my work done! lol. If I don't drink it I drag around and don't get anything done! haha.
ReplyDeletewhere is Rebecca I think she was here
ReplyDeleteRebecca! Come back! lol.
ReplyDelete12 cups betsy ! is so much you know! now I know how you make so many things ha,ha
ReplyDeleteI love coffe but sometimes I forget to take one :( really happens me
ReplyDeleteI think Rebecca is so tired I remember when the twins were little, dont stop:) and you with the triplets the same!
ReplyDeleteYes that's how I get lots done...high on caffeine! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, Rebecca is in that stage of tiny kids...it does make you so tired!

ReplyDeleteThe first 4 months almost I dont go out because I cant let the twins sometimes a friend helped me and my mom but I was the all day alone
Dont worry me because was winter and I dont go out with the twins (we go out only to doctors) lol
ReplyDeleteBetsy please tell me when you want go to bed, I dont remember what time is there
ReplyDeleteRight! So little sleep with the nighttime feedings! Our triplets were born in October so was fall but those first few months went into winter...very hard! What month is the twins birthday?
ReplyDeleteSame time as you, I think. It's 8:10PM In fact, I looked at your globe on your sidebar and you are directly south of me! Same time zone.
ReplyDeleteIs funny they borned June 13 and you know when is my birthday June 9, so I never celebrate now my birthday but dont matter, we are gemenis the three (lol)
ReplyDeleteHere is more late we have two hours more this is because always change the hour in summer and winter, I hate this

ReplyDeleteYes this year when they born I was so nerveous in my birthday I remember cause I knew they would born any time!
ReplyDeleteYes, you got it right! I think your english is amazing. So, what time is it there now?
ReplyDeleteAw, that is so fun. Were they born close to you or did you have to travel far to get them?
ReplyDeleteIs 10:17 so I think we have two hours of difference
ReplyDeleteOh yes, it is late there! You need to change your clock on your blog. lol.
ReplyDeleteThey born at the Hospital but we new when could be cause We know the doctor that received them
ReplyDeleteABout the clok I think show the time that the person is connected, because if I see show me the time of here ha!
ReplyDeleteOh, nice. Did they stay in the hospital long?
ReplyDelete4 days:)
ReplyDeleteSame as the triplets...4 days!
ReplyDeletereally?? OM
ReplyDeleteYes, and we were getting ready to go home on the 3rd day but I coughed and my C-section incision broke apart. :( I had to go into emergency surgery to repair that. So we were delayed going home one more day.
ReplyDeleteOH MY really was difficult for you!
ReplyDeleteI suffered the day we go to the Hospital, the hospital dont want give me the twins (legal porblems) we go with a lawyer finally-
Oh no! I bet that made your nervous! Oh dear!
ReplyDeleteyes was terrible and I cried a lot, but our lawyer ( a nice old woman) finally make possible, the hospitals sometimes dont like adoptives parents
ReplyDeleteOK Betsy nice to chat with you but I have to make the dinner for my son, Esperanza made something for her.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better tomorrow!
Oh, yes, that would be so hard because you are there and so excited to take them home! I'm so glad it all worked out! Yes, your lawyer sounds nice!
ReplyDeleteYes she die and still I miss her was a nice woman!
ReplyDeleteOk Gloria!
ReplyDeleteGood night.
See you tomorrow! :)
good night dear:)
ReplyDeleteI can't seem to get into the coffe/tea kick- still on Dr Peppers. Probably worst thing I could drink, but I am hooked. I hear you on the dirty rings- I use a toothbrush on mine for that very reason. Have a great Sunday!
ReplyDeleteSouthwest ~ oh, I love the occasional soda, but usually only if I'm out to eat..like a treat. You still get your caffeine that way though, right? :)
ReplyDeleteYour photo is really cheerful for a wintry day. I don't like green tea much though. It tastes too...green!
ReplyDeletei always crave such cookies actually. number 4 made me particualrly chuckle. Oh dear me, Betsy. You are too much.
ReplyDelete
