Funny story, but one time one of your house guests dropped into my coffee when I wasn't looking. They don't improve the flavor of a cup of coffee.....just sayin'.
I have one too! Yesterday I was sitting at the computer and had a glass sitting beside me that I was drinking from. I got what I thought was a crumb in my mouth.....took it out and it was a ladybug. It had crawled to the rim and wouldn't you know that was the exact place I drank from. I can tell you one thing.....Ladybugs are bitter!!!!
Betsy~We ate a little early tonight. The bonsai burgers and sweet potato fries sounded yummy though. Silver and I entertained ourselves discussing ladybugs, and coffee. :)
Betsy, we used to give my grandma a huge box of chocolates at christmas and she would count them out, and make them last until the first day of spring. :)
Well Rebecca at the begining I think my pictures were bad, and the food nice, I had some friends that tell me some things and like Betsy say you learned , I love the morning light, or some hours of afternoon, the light is nice, I dont like take pictures inside. betsy you are nice cause I think you take the best pictures:)
Thanks dears, thanks Silver. The most curious I see the light is different in some parts of the world, is not only by winter or summer (summer a lot of light) is sometimes the light is different and you can see in differents pics. This amazing me. I love Africa and India light:)
Yeah, well here I sit sucking my thumb, and talking with my friends on the computer. :) Silver I probably have a brother that is close to your age. How would you have liked to have a sister that much younger than you?
You saved the poor bug from doom As winter continues to loom But if any cats come calling He may end up balling As they will chow him down Of course Mr. Bird might get a break so won't frown A he ladybug hmmmm that must be humilating indeed We'll go with she so no he is in need
that is so true. Mr. Ladybug just won't do! Although there has to be some misters. Maybe they have whiskers. Still their name would be lacking in masculinity and drenched in femininity. lol...
I think you're right, Silver. It was one of those vengence things. Anyone who needed to be brought down a notch should just be "run over with my car..." lol...
Then they started being shoved into snow drifts and not found until the spring thaw.
Gee...we had some anger issues that needed to be dealt with those days. lol... oh gosh.
I guess, you're allowed to be angry.....and you don't have to call it righteous indignation. You just come across as quite a sweetheart, but even sweethearts can have claws. lol :)
Well, if truth be told. I was hurt (and angry)...really hurt by someone. Silver offered to 'run them over' for me. hahaha. That's how it all started. It was kind of a comic relief when he said that. Then it stuck as a private joke. Now we say it all the time. ha.
Even dead that friggin easter bunny keeps coming back...LOL You know how I feel about clip shows and reruns through Jack So not sure it will ever be rerun But maybe Silver will run over Bigfoot for fun
i love finding ladybugs in surprising places. a good sign. if a ladybug is a house guest, then your place is one of hospitality. i love that you find and create gems with every step you take in this world.

How cute and Harry is precious too.
ReplyDeleteQMM
Too cool. Nice shots, too.
ReplyDeleteHowever I should add... You talk too much! :)
ReplyDeletelol...you've always said that. :)
ReplyDeleteThat, and a few other things.
ReplyDeleteLil ladybug bringing you good luck!
ReplyDeleteMike ~ yep~! One is good luck. An infestation is not. Fortunately, it's just good luck here! lol....
ReplyDeletenow thats the kind of house guest who is welcome to stay, beautiful photo,
ReplyDeleteVery pretty little bug. I hate to rain on your parade, but I hope he didn't bring his relatives. :)
ReplyDeleteFunny story, but one time one of your house guests dropped into my coffee when I wasn't looking. They don't improve the flavor of a cup of coffee.....just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteI have one too!
ReplyDeleteRebecca ~ no, he's alone, thank goodness! I'll keep my mug away from him, too! haha.
ReplyDeletenanny~you aren't kidding! They taste exactly like they smell. lol
ReplyDeleteRebecca ~ Nanny...this must be contagious! ha.
ReplyDeleteLike the plague. lol
ReplyDeleteThey're better if you dip 'em in hot sauce.
ReplyDeleteOh retch!
ReplyDeleteHow 'bout chocolate?
ReplyDeleteNo way.....that was a very good cup of coffee, and you could still taste the nasty little creature.....I mean cute little bug. :)
ReplyDeleteThat wouldn't have happened if you'd given the little bug its own cup of coffee!
ReplyDeleteBefore I drink anything else, I'm making sure Ms, Ladybug is still on the poinsettia. ha.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least with this cute house guest, you don't have to change linens, or plan a big dinner. HaHa
ReplyDeleteLove how you and your camera are ONE!
Silver~I'm very stingy with my coffee. :)
ReplyDeleteSo true, Wanda. She hasn't been any trouble at all. :)
ReplyDeleteBetsy~I'm not making you paranoid am I? :)
ReplyDeleteThat'd make a great sandwich. A bitter-tasting ladybug between two pieces of poison poinsettia leaves!
ReplyDeleteRebecca, I love my coffee too, but I'm willing to share with special people. Bugs... not so much.
ReplyDeleteIf I remember correctly it was hazlenut coffee--which made the contamination of it even more insulting. :)
ReplyDeleteI'd rather eat a ladybug than drink hazelnut coffee. I'm a French Vanilla kinda cat, myself!
ReplyDeleteFrench Vanilla is good too!
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'm drinking today. It was a gift, which makes it even better.
ReplyDeleteCoffee always makes a nice gift! You almost can't go wrong.
ReplyDeleteI've given coffee, but only to the best people!
ReplyDeleteThere is a local store that makes a coffee blend called fog lifter that is yummy too.
ReplyDelete"Fog lifter?" Okayyyy....
ReplyDeleteDoesn't your brain ever feel foggy in the morning?
ReplyDeleteOnly till I've had my coffee...
ReplyDeleteRight. I got it.
I love ladybugs Betsy are adorable:)
ReplyDeleteJust don't ever eat one, Gloria!
ReplyDeleteHi Gloria!
ReplyDeleteGloria~ Do you like flavored coffee?
ReplyDeleteHey, if I knew you two were staying through dinner, I would have served your some! ;)
ReplyDeleteSilver, if you can't run someone over, I guess that ladybug and poinsettia leaf sandwich would be a good Plan B. :)
ReplyDeleteFisrt I dont eat the,
ReplyDeleteHi rebecca, I love capucchino and late too
@Betsy: It always has in the past, doll!
ReplyDeleteSilver~you're considering homicide?
ReplyDeleteBetsy~We ate a little early tonight. The bonsai burgers and sweet potato fries sounded yummy though. Silver and I entertained ourselves discussing ladybugs, and coffee. :)
I think I love almost all type of coffe
ReplyDelete@Rebecca: It's a long story...
ReplyDeleteMe too Gloria!
ReplyDeleteWell, write it into a story Silver. :)
Gloria~ Except for pumpkin coffee.....in my opinion those two flavors do not belong together.
ReplyDeleteHa! Maybe I should.
ReplyDeleteHey, thanks for showing up on my blog finally, Rebecca!
I dont have idea what I will make of dinner? betsy you are so organized, and I have a headache today
ReplyDeleteI've been there all along I just lurk remember?
ReplyDeleteI dont like pumpkin coffe I see the other times I think like you
ReplyDeleteDid you sign up for follow-up comments? I called you a lurker!
ReplyDeleteOh, sorry about your headache, Gloria. :(
ReplyDeleteyes betsy I m making a post but with this is difficult you know
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, I just checked! I forgot to sign up for follow-up comments. I think that's the first time I've ever been called that. :)
ReplyDeleteGloria~ Maybe a cup of tea would help your headache. Hope it goes away soon.
Gloria ~ what is your post about?
ReplyDeleteI think you would like dear are Black Forest Cupcakes do you like?
ReplyDeleteBlack Forest Cupcakes? Oh, yes,...that sounds really yummy. I love cherries and chocolate together!
ReplyDeleteBe still my heart....like chocolate covered cherries only in a cupcake! Sounds wonderful Gloria!
ReplyDeleteYes and was by many times my favorite cakes in Birthdays (always I asked) these are little cupcakes like the cake
ReplyDeleteAnd Im proud to tell you I think they look delicious and are delicious (lol)
ReplyDeleteSounds wonderful, Gloria! I love black forest cake.
ReplyDeleteChocolate covered cherries always remind me of my grandma. She always gave us a box at Christmas.
Gloria~Your food always looks delicious. My food tastes good, but sometimes it looks a little lopsided. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the way Gloria photographs her food! So pretty!...it's an art!
ReplyDeleteBetsy, we used to give my grandma a huge box of chocolates at christmas and she would count them out, and make them last until the first day of spring. :)
ReplyDeleteGloria always has great photos on her posts.
ReplyDeleteWell Rebecca at the begining I think my pictures were bad, and the food nice, I had some friends that tell me some things and like Betsy say you learned , I love the morning light, or some hours of afternoon, the light is nice, I dont like take pictures inside.
ReplyDeletebetsy you are nice cause I think you take the best pictures:)
Oh, I have no will power with a box of chocolates. I can eat them all in a day. hahaha. Your grandma was disciplined!
ReplyDeleteGloria ~ you're right about the light. I think that is the key to a good photograph!
ReplyDeleteGloria~You both take good photos!
ReplyDeleteBetsy~ She was a determined little lady. She raised four kids by herself. My Grandpa died when the oldest child (my dad) was ten.
ReplyDeleteSilver, my baby was sitting on my lap, and he saw your profile picture, and said "Papa?" (That's what he calls Grandpa. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks dears, thanks Silver.
ReplyDeleteThe most curious I see the light is different in some parts of the world, is not only by winter or summer (summer a lot of light) is sometimes the light is different and you can see in differents pics. This amazing me. I love Africa and India light:)
Wow. Good for her. I can'r imagine doing that...especially with really young kids!
ReplyDelete@Rebecca: Hold old is Grandpa?
ReplyDeleteha,ha sorry what nice your baby believe Silver is grand pa?
ReplyDeleteDont worry Silver you are nice:)
ReplyDeleteSilver, Well, my dad is (I'm pretty sure) older than you. He's 80, and my hubbies dad is 72. Don't take it in a bad way....he's only 17 months old. :)
ReplyDeleteRebecca ~ you must be the baby of the family? You're so young to have a father that old!
ReplyDeleteYes, I was a bit of a surprise. My mom was 43, and my dad 47 when I was born. :)
ReplyDeleteAw...but what a nice surprise, right? :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gloria.
ReplyDeleteRebecca, I'm nowhere near that old. I'm older than you are, though!
Silver, well somehow I guessed that, but I'm not very good with ages. :)
ReplyDeleteRebecca, to me you're just a baby, haha!
ReplyDeleteYeah, well here I sit sucking my thumb, and talking with my friends on the computer. :) Silver I probably have a brother that is close to your age. How would you have liked to have a sister that much younger than you?
ReplyDeleteYou saved the poor bug from doom
ReplyDeleteAs winter continues to loom
But if any cats come calling
He may end up balling
As they will chow him down
Of course Mr. Bird might get a break so won't frown
A he ladybug hmmmm that must be humilating indeed
We'll go with she so no he is in need
No thanks. I'd have had to keep running her boyfriends over with my car.
ReplyDeleteI have friends of all ages is dont matter too me, Im old too (lol)
ReplyDeleteSilver is is Grandpa too
ReplyDeleteLOL that was fun to view
Yeah, brothers are like that....protective I mean. :)
ReplyDeleteGloria, make sure and let us know when you're serving those cupcakes! :)
ReplyDeletea Pat I know you will say something (lol)
ReplyDeleteOk betsy I hope finish in an hour more but I have to make the dinner too:)
Pat ~
ReplyDeletethat is so true.
Mr. Ladybug just won't do!
Although there has to be some misters.
Maybe they have whiskers.
Still their name would be lacking in masculinity
and drenched in femininity.
lol...
ok, Gloria...no rush. :)
ReplyDeleteBetsy what is bonsai burgers??
ReplyDeleteI saw in your menu:)
ReplyDeleteGloria ~ They are a hamburger. Bonsai burgers have a teriyaki glaze on them and then you put a slice of fresh grilled pineapple on top inside the bun.
ReplyDeleteRebecca ~ you need an profile picture, dear. We need to see your pretty face. And you name looks lonely here without one. :)
ReplyDeletenice I dont have idea betsy is new to me, thanks,
ReplyDeleteIf you like teriyaki, you would like them. They are Taylor's favorite.
ReplyDeletePat ~
ReplyDeletehow was Cassie's paw?
While you were at work did she give it a gnaw?
Hopefully she was a good cat
and let it alone and just sat.
Bonsai burgers definitely sounds like a weapon indeed
ReplyDeleteMay have to add them as traps at my feed..LOL
Love Teriyaki:)
ReplyDelete@Pat: A weapon? Those would be "banzai burgers!"
ReplyDeleteI've tried, but every time I take a picture of myself it looks blech....Maybe I can get hubby to take one, or I could use scary santa. :)
ReplyDeletePat ~ yep, sound like something to ward off the zombies.
ReplyDeleteBetter than pancake frisbees!
Scary Santa? Oh, we already have one of those. That's too many already! lol... (sorry, silver)
ReplyDeletewell, I guess I could do a scary Easter bunny. :)
ReplyDelete@Betsy: Don't tell her about me and the Easter Bunny...!
ReplyDeletePat, Do you eat any food, or just use it all as ammo?
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Good one, Rebecca!
ReplyDeleteOh, but maybe you didn't know! On Pat's blog, Silver killed the Easter Bunny! He ran over him with Natasha's SUV!
ReplyDeleteBetsy, Did you have me pictured as a sweet old gray haired granny?
ReplyDeleteooops~
ReplyDeleteNo, I knew you were young...I guessed 30's. :) ...which IS young...unless you are Pat.
ReplyDelete@Betsy: Thanks a lot, doll...
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteSilver, you've got to get control of your hit and run issues. :)
ReplyDeleteSorry. But it IS public knowledge. At Pat will show it as a rerun some time in the future. lol....
ReplyDeleteYou have no idea...
ReplyDeleteHe IS scary when he's angry! (.....ducks!)
ReplyDeleteholy cow betsy...getting lost in your comment box...we got over run with those things a couple years ago...
ReplyDeleteMaybe the scary santa was more accurate than I thought.
ReplyDelete@Betsy: As I recall, the whole hit-and-run thing started in an email to you...
ReplyDeleteBetsy, maybe you should tell us what makes him angry......so I can avoid a hit and run. :)
ReplyDeleteBrian ~ We're having a after-dinner chat while waiting for Gloria to serve dessert. :)
ReplyDeleteSorry about the lady bug convention. ha.
@Betsy: Yeah, doll, tell Rebecca what makes me angry. I wanna hear this. :)
ReplyDeleteRebecca I was shocking with the Easter bunny, never will be the same after it:(
ReplyDeleteand Pat enjoyed it!!
Gloria, it was a KILLER Easter Bunny! I saved everybody!
ReplyDeletemay I say?
ReplyDeleteGloria~Simply awful, poor little innocent bunny, with his cute little ears, and his soft little tail. :)
ReplyDeleteI think you're right, Silver. It was one of those vengence things. Anyone who needed to be brought down a notch should just be "run over with my car..." lol...
ReplyDeleteThen they started being shoved into snow drifts and not found until the spring thaw.
Gee...we had some anger issues that needed to be dealt with those days. lol... oh gosh.
I dont know Pat said something different, but is a schoking theme and you had the picture!!
ReplyDelete"We?" Haha!
ReplyDeleteGloria ~ yeah, Pat is quite cynical, isn't he? ha.
ReplyDeleteOf course Rebecca dont tell to the kids:)
ReplyDeletelol...aw, Silver...we should show her the photo of it laying on the side of the road. It sure didn't look KILLER to me! hahahaha.
ReplyDeleteLove Pat (lol)
ReplyDeleteeggs and basket smashed everywhere...it was awful.
ReplyDeleteBetsy, you had anger issues.....can't quite picture that. :)
ReplyDeleteIs cynical but I love him:)
ReplyDeleteThe razzer-frazzer Easter Bunny killed several of Pat's readers. I was the hero!
ReplyDeletewas terrible:(
ReplyDeleteSure, Gloria...you say...
ReplyDeleteGoodness, I'm going to have bad dreams about dying Easter bunnies. :)
ReplyDeleteha!
ReplyDeleteSo, Zorro killed the Easter bunny?
ReplyDeleteRebecca ~ ok..righteous indignation...is that better? lol...
ReplyDeleteand all these people laughing about this bunny Oh My!
ReplyDeleteI dont believe Zorro is absolutely nice and gentle:)
ReplyDeleteI wasn't wearing the Zorro costume that day, Rebecca. Or the Batman one.
ReplyDeletehe wasn't Zorro...he was just himself.
ReplyDeleteI guess, you're allowed to be angry.....and you don't have to call it righteous indignation. You just come across as quite a sweetheart, but even sweethearts can have claws. lol :)
ReplyDeleteRebecca, have you been to Pat's blog? We should find the link so you can read the story for yourself. ha.
ReplyDeleteBetsy? Claws? Nahhh, she's a doll!
ReplyDeleteZorro, Batman, you have multiple personalities?
ReplyDeleteRole model transference, or something. Also The Lone Ranger.
ReplyDeleteYes, I've been there Betsy, but I haven't read all of it. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, if truth be told. I was hurt (and angry)...really hurt by someone. Silver offered to 'run them over' for me. hahaha. That's how it all started. It was kind of a comic relief when he said that. Then it stuck as a private joke. Now we say it all the time. ha.
ReplyDeleteHi ho Silver.......Away. Hee hee!
ReplyDeleteDefeated mass murderers never look tough after they're taken out!
ReplyDeleteRebecca ~ you have to have your coffee before going to Pat's blog. haha.
ReplyDeleteTHAT Silver's the HORSE! I'm a fox!
ReplyDeleteoh, I'm laughing SO hard!
ReplyDeletewith all these personnalities maybe we never know who really KILL the Easter Bunny!
ReplyDeleteWell, goodnight Mary Ellen!
ReplyDeleteme too Betsy:)
ReplyDeleteWho will deliver the chocolate eggs this Easter? We'll have to read Pat's blog and find out!
ReplyDeleteAre you leaving?
ReplyDeleteGood night, Ben.

Oh...that post on your blog! I remember that! Thankfully we only have one lady bug. I hope it stays that way!
ReplyDeletenight Gloria! xo
ReplyDeleteGood night Gloria.
ReplyDeleteI should stop commenting, too. Something just came up elsewhere...
Even dead that friggin easter bunny keeps coming back...LOL
ReplyDeleteYou know how I feel about clip shows and reruns through Jack
So not sure it will ever be rerun
But maybe Silver will run over Bigfoot for fun
Bigfoot? That would surely leave a dent.
ReplyDeleteHope it's someone else's SUV that has been lent.
lol...
I do think I have the same guest...or maybe her sister.
ReplyDeleteLadybugs always make me happy. I love them.
ReplyDeleteChristian ~ I knew that! I mean...just look at your header! :)
ReplyDeletei love finding ladybugs in surprising places. a good sign. if a ladybug is a house guest, then your place is one of hospitality. i love that you find and create gems with every step you take in this world.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ed. That was really sweet! :)
ReplyDeleteEd ~ STILL loving your poem! :)
ReplyDeleteI love Lady Bugs!
ReplyDeleteHi Betsy ... you have 'a loveliness of commenters' ... love your one ladybug!
ReplyDeleteHappy week .. cheers Hilary

ReplyDeleteTake care
x
last October, one warm afternoon, we found out about 40 lady bugs in our bedroom, they lined up on the beams of the ceiling, in groups ... they never bother us ... i started to wish them 'good night' & 'good morning' ... now there are very few left actually ... i think some died ... i was finding them 'dried-out' on the floor ... their life time is about 1-2 years, many of them come in the autumn inside houses just to die few weeks later ... i googled about them ... aparently in Holland they use lady bug as a symbol for 'nonsense crime' ... yours reminded me about my grandmom who use to have 1 lady bug every year in her house, literally taking care of her :-) i think this is my longest comment ever ... haha
ReplyDeleteBirdie ~ I've heard that they hibernate over the winter and are actually asleep and not dead! Don't know if that's true or not.
ReplyDeleteTom ~ we had a small (50 or so) investation one time. Fortunately it was up in The Mister's office and not down stairs where I would see it. ha.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck!! They say a ladybug brings good luck!! blessings ~ Tanna
ReplyDeletePretty! Lady bugs in the house are said to bring luck!
ReplyDeleteAmyLK ~ just one, though! I only want ONE. haha.
ReplyDeleteThought I should comment just to be number 199. :)
ReplyDeleteoooh, and now 200--the same as my iq score. :) just kidding. :)
ReplyDelete
