  5. I wonder what he's singing. I'll bet it's not "The Twelve Days of Christmas!"

    ReplyDelete
  6. ok...I'll guess. Let's see, how does that song start?

    I'm sleeping
And right in the middle of a good dream...

    ReplyDelete
  7. "Like all at once I wake up
From something that keeps knocking at my brain..."

    ReplyDelete
  8. Aw, see? I guessed right!

    I could have guessed...

Hello world here's a song that we're singing
    Come on get happy!

    ReplyDelete
  9. ok...are we going to keep going?

    Before I go insane
I hold my pillow to my head
And spring up in my bed
Screaming out the words I dread:

    ReplyDelete
  10. (Sorry, feeding Orson!)

    "I think I love you.
    (I think I love you.)"

    ReplyDelete
  11. :) haha...I set you up, didn't I?

This morning, I woke up with this feeling
I didn't know how to deal with
And so I just decided to myself
    I'd hide it to myself

( I hope I don't get cut from CT because we aren't doing the 12 Days of Christmas lyrics! ha)

    ReplyDelete
  12. "And never talk about it
And didn't I go and shout it
When you walked into my room."

    ReplyDelete
  13. "I think I love you!"
    (I think I love you)

    I think I love you
So what am I so afraid of?
I'm afraid that I'm not sure of
A love there is no cure for
    I think I love you

(Gee...doesn't anybody else know the words?)

    ReplyDelete
  14. "Isn't that what life is made of?
Though it worries me to say
    I've never felt this way."

    ReplyDelete
  15. Believe me
You really don't have to worry
I only want to make you happy
    And if you say,
    hey, go away, I will
    But I think better still
I ought to stay around and love you

    ReplyDelete
  16. "Do you think I have a case?
Let me ask you to your face:
Do you think you love me?"

    ReplyDelete
  17. I think I love you!

  33. We do think alike...I wanted to do the First Day of Christmas too. Then my cousin sent me some history of the song, and so decided to include it with my painting.

That is just the sweetest partridge perched on a pear tree. Love those "P's"

Trusting all your "days" of Christmas were filled with family and love.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I just finished reading all your comments....and so enjoyed the duet by you and Silver. Nice!!!

Have heard those words in years!!!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Wanda ~ yep, that was fun! Grace tried to get people to join in on chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire a week or two ago but nobody was online at the time. That would have been fun, too. lol....

  48. Betsy,
LadyCat and I couldn't decide which of the fouls you would choose from the theme. We thought you'd go for 2 turtle doves; however, you did a perfect job with that first day of Christmas... :)

    ReplyDelete
  49. Beautiful!! Great job, Betsy. blessings ~ tanna

    ReplyDelete
  50. Tom ~ I couldn't decide myself! Laurie did a beautiful 'two turtle doves', though. I almost did a swan...that would have been fun, too!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Well, you know, Birdie, I love the birdies as much as you do. ha.

    ReplyDelete
  52. If you had gone with two turtle doves, they could have sung a duet, like you and I did! :)

    ReplyDelete
  53. I'll bet we sounded just as good as they would have.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Hey, I just looked up the David Cassidy song--I was feeling left out. Sounds maybe a little familiar. :) Am I the only one with a post/Christmas headache?

    ReplyDelete
  55. Rebecca ~ you could have joined in! :)

I have a terrible headache this morning....must be contagious! ha.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Oh no you and Silver were doing such a good job--I wouldn't have wanted to ruin it. Plus I would have had to keep looking up the lyrics.

I think the headache is sugar overload and sleep deprivation.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Well, don't tell anyone, but I had to look up the lyrics myself! ha.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Somehow I knew HE was lurking around! :P LOL

    ReplyDelete
  59. Wait! What cookies? Who made cookies?

    ReplyDelete
  60. I'm like a bad penny, you never know where I'll turn up!

    ReplyDelete
  61. He's never too far away...lol...Aw, come on Silver, you had to look up the lyrics, too. I know you did!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Did I say I didn't?

Yeah, there were about four words I wasn't 100% sure of.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Look up, AND copy & paste! I'm no fool.

    ReplyDelete
  64. four words? well, you're older than me...you probably had it memorized when it was a hit. :)

I still have plenty of cookies...please help yourself....maybe it will soften that sugar headache, Rebecca... ha.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Hee hee!!! You guys are too much!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  66. Plenty? You mean I could have had more?!?

    ReplyDelete
  67. Yeah that's what I need--a cookie.
I've got turkey rice soup on the stove--want some?

    ReplyDelete
  68. Well, I'm no fool either, I did the copy/paste thing. lol....

ok..looking at the computer is making my headache worse....gotta go! :( Save a cookie for me...

    ReplyDelete
  69. Leaving her own blog while she still has guests? SO unlike Betsy!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Silver , you're here so much it's like it's your blog! You can host...have fun, guys! ha.

    ReplyDelete
  71. No, just ran away for a little. :)

    ReplyDelete
  72. Betsy has a headache, and you have a headache. That stinks.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I pretty much fogged mine over with ibuprofen. I'll take a nap later--that will help.

Did you have a good Christmas?

    ReplyDelete
  74. Nope. Should I? I didn't fill up on sweet for Christmas. I'm diabetic. Only had three delicious cookies.

    ReplyDelete
  75. That "nope" was for the headache question. My Christmas was good. Yours?

    ReplyDelete
  76. Yes! I had a good Christmas!

No, you shouldn't have a headache--I just thought maybe Betsy and I picking on you might give you a headache. :)

    ReplyDelete
  77. Takes more than that. I'm used to Betsy picking on me. She can take it and give it.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I had five brothers--that sort of prepares you for alot of picking. :)

    ReplyDelete
  79. I have one sister, six years older than I. Minimum to moderate picking-on amount.

    ReplyDelete
  80. :)

Gonna go take that nap now--see ya!

    ReplyDelete
  81. Betsy hope you feel better of your headache, :)

    ReplyDelete
  82. Rebecca and Silver ~ glad you had a nice chat while I was away! :)

Gloria ~ 100? That is insane! We should sing lines to songs and chat about headaches and turkey soup more often. hahaha.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Yes, I feel better...headache is almost all gone. Just a little one now. New post coming in just a minute. :)

    ReplyDelete
  84. I will see, try to rest early and you will feel better:)
