Believe me You really don't have to worry I only want to make you happy And if you say, hey, go away, I will But I think better still I ought to stay around and love you
Yes dear, I guess...(lol) was a little busy, here are my parents and my dad is s little sick, well you know how is. yesterday we were to my sister house:)
We do think alike...I wanted to do the First Day of Christmas too. Then my cousin sent me some history of the song, and so decided to include it with my painting.
That is just the sweetest partridge perched on a pear tree. Love those "P's"
Trusting all your "days" of Christmas were filled with family and love.
Wanda ~ yep, that was fun! Grace tried to get people to join in on chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire a week or two ago but nobody was online at the time. That would have been fun, too. lol....
So that's how a pear tree looks I could never find it in those christmas books And that song is perfect for you There are birds in it up the gazoo Tomorrow I will take a crack at that Or rather it will be the cat Nice being creative tuesday on monday too That's always fun to see at your zoo..haha
Betsy, LadyCat and I couldn't decide which of the fouls you would choose from the theme. We thought you'd go for 2 turtle doves; however, you did a perfect job with that first day of Christmas... :)
Hey, I just looked up the David Cassidy song--I was feeling left out. Sounds maybe a little familiar. :) Am I the only one with a post/Christmas headache?
Hi Betsy, thank you for your nice comments on my blog post. I love your Partridge pear tree design too! I can see that there are one or two others who agree :-) An interesting and charming take on the classic image. I also like the cat in the snow in the newer post!
Look absolutely lovely I love all your draws Betsy:)
ReplyDeleteFirst:)))
ReplyDeleteCute! I would totally hang that in my house. I hope you had a very merry Christmas!
ReplyDeletewell I just adore your partridge in a pear tree, how pearfect!!!
ReplyDeleteYes was to be sure(lol)
ReplyDeleteI love how you make the birds dear:)
Beautiful. Is that Shirley Jones?
ReplyDeleteNo, Silver, it's David Cassidy! :)
ReplyDeleteI wonder what he's singing. I'll bet it's not "The Twelve Days of Christmas!"
ReplyDeleteok...I'll guess. Let's see, how does that song start?
ReplyDeleteI'm sleeping
And right in the middle of a good dream...
"Like all at once I wake up
ReplyDeleteFrom something that keeps knocking at my brain..."
Aw, see? I guessed right!
ReplyDeleteI could have guessed...
Hello world here's a song that we're singing
Come on get happy!
ok...are we going to keep going?
ReplyDeleteBefore I go insane
I hold my pillow to my head
And spring up in my bed
Screaming out the words I dread:
(Sorry, feeding Orson!)
ReplyDelete"I think I love you.
(I think I love you.)"
:) haha...I set you up, didn't I?
ReplyDeleteThis morning, I woke up with this feeling
I didn't know how to deal with
And so I just decided to myself
I'd hide it to myself
( I hope I don't get cut from CT because we aren't doing the 12 Days of Christmas lyrics! ha)
"And never talk about it
ReplyDeleteAnd didn't I go and shout it
When you walked into my room."
"I think I love you!"
ReplyDelete(I think I love you)
I think I love you
So what am I so afraid of?
I'm afraid that I'm not sure of
A love there is no cure for
I think I love you
(Gee...doesn't anybody else know the words?)
"Isn't that what life is made of?
ReplyDeleteThough it worries me to say
I've never felt this way."
Believe me
ReplyDeleteYou really don't have to worry
I only want to make you happy
And if you say,
hey, go away, I will
But I think better still
I ought to stay around and love you
"Do you think I have a case?
ReplyDeleteLet me ask you to your face:
Do you think you love me?"
I think I love you!
ReplyDeletehaha...oh, you got me back with the setup! lol....
Twice!

ReplyDeleteha,ha I dont think Im like Eve dear she is more quiet than me, ha:) But she is SWEET didn't Betsy ?
ReplyDeleteWe do think alike...I wanted to do the First Day of Christmas too. Then my cousin sent me some history of the song, and so decided to include it with my painting.

Trusting all your "days" of Christmas were filled with family and love.
I just finished reading all your comments....and so enjoyed the duet by you and Silver. Nice!!!
ReplyDeleteHave heard those words in years!!!
You aren't quiet? haha...well, I am. No, really..I am! :) You can be loud and sweet together, it's ok. :)
ReplyDeleteWanda ~ yep, that was fun! Grace tried to get people to join in on chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire a week or two ago but nobody was online at the time. That would have been fun, too. lol....
ReplyDeleteWell, at least that song I know. I think David Cassidy must have been before my time. Nice singing tho. :)
ReplyDeleteRebecc ~ The Patridge Family? Oh, you young thing, you! lol.... Well, I was just a wee girl...hahaha.
ReplyDeletevery cool pic betsy...hope you had a great christmas!
ReplyDeleteSo that's how a pear tree looks
ReplyDeleteI could never find it in those christmas books

Or rather it will be the cat
Nice being creative tuesday on monday too

Now I'm hearing the Partridge Family in my head! And Betsy, you bear a resemblance to Susan Dey. :)
ReplyDeleteYuji ~ ...I think she was gorgeous...so thank you!
ReplyDeleteBetsy this is so beautiful and creative. I love the colours you've used.
ReplyDeletei always enjoy any of your drawings Betsy, the birds are my favorite! ;-)
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful drawing Betsy. Simple and elegant.
ReplyDeleteHi Betsy .. love the art work .. just gorgeous ... Happy rest of the festive week .. Hilary
ReplyDeleteAwww!! This is beautiful!! Lovely partridge on a Pear tree! Take care
ReplyDeletex
Betsy,
ReplyDeleteLadyCat and I couldn't decide which of the fouls you would choose from the theme. We thought you'd go for 2 turtle doves; however, you did a perfect job with that first day of Christmas... :)
Beautiful!! Great job, Betsy. blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteTom ~ I couldn't decide myself! Laurie did a beautiful 'two turtle doves', though. I almost did a swan...that would have been fun, too!
ReplyDeleteWell, you know, Birdie, I love the birdies as much as you do. ha.
ReplyDeleteIf you had gone with two turtle doves, they could have sung a duet, like you and I did! :)
ReplyDeleteI'll bet we sounded just as good as they would have.
ReplyDeleteHey, I just looked up the David Cassidy song--I was feeling left out. Sounds maybe a little familiar. :) Am I the only one with a post/Christmas headache?
ReplyDeleteRebecca ~ you could have joined in! :)
ReplyDeleteI have a terrible headache this morning....must be contagious! ha.
Oh no you and Silver were doing such a good job--I wouldn't have wanted to ruin it. Plus I would have had to keep looking up the lyrics.
ReplyDeleteI think the headache is sugar overload and sleep deprivation.
Well, don't tell anyone, but I had to look up the lyrics myself! ha.
ReplyDeleteI'll never tell!! :)
ReplyDeleteNeither will I, Betsy!
ReplyDeletehaha..oh no, I'm busted...
ReplyDeleteWe're even for the cookies, then.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I knew HE was lurking around! :P LOL
ReplyDeleteWait! What cookies? Who made cookies?
ReplyDeleteI'm like a bad penny, you never know where I'll turn up!
ReplyDeleteHe's never too far away...lol...Aw, come on Silver, you had to look up the lyrics, too. I know you did!
ReplyDeleteDid I say I didn't?
ReplyDeleteYeah, there were about four words I wasn't 100% sure of.
Look up, AND copy & paste! I'm no fool.
ReplyDeletefour words? well, you're older than me...you probably had it memorized when it was a hit. :)
ReplyDeleteI still have plenty of cookies...please help yourself....maybe it will soften that sugar headache, Rebecca... ha.
Hee hee!!! You guys are too much!!!!
ReplyDeletePlenty? You mean I could have had more?!?
ReplyDeleteYeah that's what I need--a cookie.
ReplyDeleteI've got turkey rice soup on the stove--want some?
Well, I'm no fool either, I did the copy/paste thing. lol....
ReplyDeleteok..looking at the computer is making my headache worse....gotta go! :( Save a cookie for me...
Leaving her own blog while she still has guests? SO unlike Betsy!
ReplyDeleteSilver , you're here so much it's like it's your blog! You can host...have fun, guys! ha.
ReplyDelete(I think they both left.)
ReplyDeleteNo, just ran away for a little. :)
ReplyDeleteBetsy has a headache, and you have a headache. That stinks.
ReplyDeleteYou don't have a headache?
ReplyDeleteI pretty much fogged mine over with ibuprofen. I'll take a nap later--that will help.
ReplyDeleteDid you have a good Christmas?
Nope. Should I? I didn't fill up on sweet for Christmas. I'm diabetic. Only had three delicious cookies.
ReplyDeleteThat "nope" was for the headache question. My Christmas was good. Yours?
ReplyDeleteYes! I had a good Christmas!
ReplyDeleteNo, you shouldn't have a headache--I just thought maybe Betsy and I picking on you might give you a headache. :)
Takes more than that. I'm used to Betsy picking on me. She can take it and give it.
ReplyDeleteI had five brothers--that sort of prepares you for alot of picking. :)
ReplyDeleteI have one sister, six years older than I. Minimum to moderate picking-on amount.
ReplyDelete:)
ReplyDeleteGonna go take that nap now--see ya!
Adios!
ReplyDeleteBetsy hope you feel better of your headache, :)
ReplyDeleteI suffer pf them sometimes:)
ReplyDeleteAnd 100 Betsy, :)
ReplyDeleteRebecca and Silver ~ glad you had a nice chat while I was away! :)
ReplyDeleteGloria ~ 100? That is insane! We should sing lines to songs and chat about headaches and turkey soup more often. hahaha.
You feel better Betsy?
ReplyDeleteYes, I feel better...headache is almost all gone. Just a little one now. New post coming in just a minute. :)
ReplyDeleteI will see, try to rest early and you will feel better:)
ReplyDeleteGreat drawing Betsy! Do you have any of them hanging in your house...because you should.
ReplyDeleteExcellent, Betsy! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
ReplyDeleteLove the design on the bird!! Wishing you the best in the new year :)
