Key Lime Fudge

I tried this new recipe and it's a keeper!
I'm posting it especially for Brian, my twin of sorts, who loves Key Lime. :) And isn't the plate pretty? I picked it up at the thrift store today while out and about with friend Julie. And yes, Pat, I washed it before using it. ha.
Key Lime Fudge
3 c white chocolate melted with one can of sweetened condensed milk.
Stir in 1 T lime zest and 1/4 c lime juice.
Spread in a buttered 8x8 pan. Chill 2 hours.

  1. Maybe just one bite wouldn't kill you, Silver. Besides, look at your face there...you need some sweetening up!

  2. Then give me the whole darned batch, doll. :)

  3. Ha. No, you can't leave us yet. But one piece might improve that scowl. Of course, you'd have to drop that cig hanging from your lips. ha.

  4. You're right, I can't leave yet. Still a couple of things left on my Bucket List.

You beat me to it and show my OCD the door
That's a nice break for the cat
So it doesn't flare up at your mat
Your twin will sure want some
He might now dream of Key Lime Fudge instead of that fairy sugar plum
    Silver looks mean now too
I hope he gets a burnt behind or forgets the chimney and gets sucked down the loo

yep, Silver's giving Santa a bad name
He looks like he's playing a dirty game.

  19. Rebecca ~ oooh..no, it would not. But I get it, too, and have to take one of those 24 hr pills. Then I can eat fudge. Sweets are the worst for me.

  23. Yogurt will make the scary Santa go away? :p haha

    ReplyDelete
  24. Rebecca ~ maybe! But it will work on the heartburn for sure. lol...

    ReplyDelete
  25. I even have some in the fridge--sounds like a good bedtime snack.:)

    ReplyDelete
  26. Rebecca ~ yeah...because, if I recall correctly, it isn't considered breakfast food by someone at your house! lol...

    ReplyDelete
  27. Um yeah--that's because I've been having it as a cop-out instead of cooking something "real" like eggs or pancakes, or french toast. :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Rebecca ~ aw, I love yogurt for breakfast. Sprinkle granola over it and call it new. hahaha.

    ReplyDelete
  29. @Rebecca: Scary Santa isn't going anywhere!

    ReplyDelete
  30. I don't think I could fool him--he's a sharp little stinker. :)

    ReplyDelete
  34. Silver,
I had one, and I lost it--I'm not very computer savvy. :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Betsy's blog would not be banned. Betsy would ban bad blogger from blogging on Betsy's blog!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Betsy boasts a bit, but bold, brave Betsy might beat Scary Santa badly, so I'd better behave!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Oh yeah, she's used to standing her ground and being the boss around men. Little but mighty. ha. And that goes for bad Santas, too! Now eat some fudge and let's see if you loose that ashen complexion. lol...

  47. @Betsy: I would not steal presents. I'd break them all and leave them for the kids to find in the morning!

  57. Key lime fudge... you just blew my mind, that is such an awesome culinary invention!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Hi Betsy,

That really does look yummy, I saw it at that sweet website you posted and I thought everything there looked good. But that one did catch my eye because I simply adore Key Lime pie.

And that plate is really pretty. I think that maybe I need to start visiting some Thrift stores but then I would have to go shopping and I oh so hate shopping. Did you know that TJ Maxx gives a senior discount on Tuesdays? It would be nice if stores did it online but then it would be hard to prove one's age.

Thank goodness I do not have to cook the Christmas dinner, all we have to do is buy it all, give it to my oldest and she cooks it. She thinks she is getting a deal and I know that I am the one who gets the best deal. And hubby is smoking a big rib roast in the smoker to take with us. That is one nice thing about here in CA is that we can still barbeque and smoke meat in the winter. Christmas is supposed to be in the mid 70's. Sometimes it has been a lot higher, so 70's is cool.

I do hope you get your White Christmas, saw on the news that some of Ohio is going to. I will just look at the mountains and see the snow and know that is good enough. It is where if we want snow we can drive up to it in 20 mins. and if not then we can stay down in the valleys.

I guess I need to get some energy to wrap some gifts but snuggled on couch is so much better.

    God bless.

PS...maybe I am starting to feel better because I actually wrote a long comment, yea!!!
