The photos above are taken from my desk in the kitchen.
I sat and drank my coffee as I watched leaves falling and twirling to the ground.
Marmalade found a perch in the sun and sat, dozing in it's warmth.
This evening Taylor and Lauren passed out the Halloween candy to the little
trick-or-treaters. Even her hair is golden reddish. How perfect is that?
♥
Lucky you! We've got SNOW here in New England!!!

They can get in the weirdest places, which I know you I do not need to tell
And halloween tonight?
Not the night of fright
Geez supposed to the be 31st
When the ghoulies quench their candy thirst
And yes stupid snow
I hope it never does show

ReplyDeleteYep, the kiddies get to have their candy high
late on Saturday night.
Maybe the teacher's union made the choice of day
so they wouldn't have to deal with them the next morning that way.
ha.

ReplyDeleteAnd I just read about the $1050 sign from the auction. Jeepers, that's a lot of money!
What a gorgeous fall day! We have been having like weather here as well. Though we did get snow one morning but only 2 inches!! But that was a shock. Esp. with all the pretty leaves still on the trees!

ReplyDeleteQMM
Kayren ~ the date for our village to trick-or-treat was Saturday night...nobody came early. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post and I can so relate - we did not have blue skies, but we have that lovely golden foliage all around us.;)
ReplyDeleteHave a great Sunday Betsy,
xoox
Dear betsy Im ready with halloween cupcakes if you want stopping by! xxgloria
ReplyDeleteStrange how they change the days of so many holidays nowadays. Ours will be out on Monday if they even go out. Most kids here go to Church parties or to a Mall so as to make sure the candy is safe. We still have sic o's out here. I just buy big bags at Costco and give it to the grandkids. They get more and it is safe.
ReplyDeleteGreat autumn pictures to share. We don't get the changing of the leaves out here. Trees stay green all year. Only a few change, not enough to even notice. Stay warm.
God bless.
Betsy come to see when you can dear! have a nice Sunday, gloria
ReplyDeleteRachel and I drove to Huntsville today. The trees were so pretty. The weather has been perfect for good color. I think in the next week or two things will get even prettier.
ReplyDeleteKids will trick or treat here on Monday. I'm going to stop by Rachel's so I can see her babies in their costumes. I saw some sneak peaks of my Huntsville g-kids outfits yesterday.
Enjoy fall!
At least now snow?!
ReplyDeleteYes, does sound perfect!!!!! I love marmalade in the sun, looking so proud!
ReplyDeleteYes, we still have snow and we are supposed to have a halloween party tonight....SNOwtober!
Snowtober..lol...someone should dress up like Santa for their costume! haha.
ReplyDeleteBEautiful cat. :3
ReplyDeleteThat photo on the bottom shows a street scene that although a brief glimpse, is so very midwestern that I'm getting homesick.
ReplyDeleteKarenG ~ yep...we're in the middle of midwestern. :) It was a beautiful night for trick or treat, too! :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoying your photos - how perfect that it was the marmalade cat right there in the sun. Enjoying all the comments too, quite some conversations going on!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the candies! It was a beautiful night to walk around. We were a lil bit nostalgic for the ole neighborhood on a night like that!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Sunday.
