The Last Butterfly

I snapped some photos of what is probably the last butterfly of the season today. I haven't seen many in the last week with the cooler weather settling in. She was enjoying the blooms from my garden lettuce that has gone to seed.

That is until the garden help caught and ate her!

Oops! LOL! Oh dear!

  4. Last week I was standing on my deck daydreaming when two snow white butterflies came into my field of vision ... they were pure magic and I believe good luck!

  6. Oh, no! Hopefully, she never knew what bit her! ;) Our little Assassin takes out so many little creatures... makes me sad, but they are just living true to their little hunting natures. blessings ~ tanna

It could have waited for winter and froze
At least this way it made a yummy snack
As the cat went on the attack
They are doing a good job of clearing out your zoo

  20. Tony ~ oh no! We used to have a cat that played with his catch until it stopped playing along. I think I like the quick death a little better! ha. Thanks for visiting!

  21. Better a butterfly than a wasp, although I'd think the "dusty" wings would make your kitty's mouth a little dry. Every once in a while, a wasp gets into our house and drives our cats wild. So far, we've managed to keep them from catching one, but they are determined little hunters.

  22. I haven't seen many butterflies lately either and the weather hasn't turned cold here yet! Poor butterfly becoming a snack for the kitty. :-)
