- Me, waiting for The Mister, who was fiddling with his bow tie. :)
- The ceiling of the Schuster Center, Kettering, Ohio.
- Ready to go.
- The Empress of Soul herself.
- Wishing I was in one of those box seats! ha. But we had great seats. Ground floor and about 12 rows back on the aisle.
- Singing her heart out.
Wow. Very fun to see Gladys Knight sing live! She also seems like a genuinely nice woman, too. I loved her personality and sass. I have tunes like Neither One Of Us, Midnight Train To Georgia, and I've Got To Use My Imagination in my head today. Not to mention You're The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me, If I Were Your Woman and Love Overboard. I was really hoping she would sing Super Woman. Maybe next time. :)
♥
She is a great singer.
ReplyDeleteYou had great seats.
You looked marvelous! What a fun night!
ReplyDeleteLooks like quite the venue
ReplyDeleteThose box seats must have had quite the view
So no grapevine stuck in your head
But three other songs, what dread
Do you mix and match the lines to each one
Oh that just wouldn't be fun..haha
You two look smashing! So glad you got to go and have an evening out. The Schuster is such a great place!
ReplyDeletePat ~ No grapevine song last night! Good thing, too because by now I'd be singing the blues! ha.
ReplyDeleteMix and match the lines...that would be a medley.
Could be deadly!
ha.
Great pictures! Who took the first one of you?
ReplyDeleteKathyG ~ Taylor did. :)
ReplyDeleteDid she sing "We've Come to the End of Our Road"? That song reminds me of driving my dad's '68 Mustang onto a dirt fill lot above the home of my best friend's secret love. We went there to spy on him as the lot looked down onto his parents' home & pool. As we drove up the dirt drive, that song was playing and damn if we didn't get stuck! I thought my best friend would die when he came out of the house, saw us up there and had to help push the back end of the car out of the mud. Ya can't drive in the mud in CA. It is like glue.
ReplyDeleteCaligirl ~ no, she didn't sing that one! Oh, what a funny story! Yep, you got busted! lol...
ReplyDeleteShe didn't sing "If I Were Your Woman?" Aw.
ReplyDeleteI have always loved her soul...she just joined the Mormon church a few years ago, so to me she is super cool! :D
ReplyDeleteJulie ~ I read that about her and thought of you! :)
ReplyDeleteSilver ~ She did sing that one...very close to the beginning! :)
