  5. Drove by a beautiful old barn.
  6. Stopped at our favorite sweet corn farm.
  7. Waiting for geese to cross the road.
  8. Made chocolate zucchini bread. Recipe will post on Saturday.
  9. Sampled chocolate zucchini bread. Mmmm!
  10. Picked some veggies in the rain.
  11. Watched kittens chase my wet footprints.
  12. Dusted pictures hanging along the staircase.
  13. Found Nugget keeping cool on the air conditioning vent in our bedroom.
  14. Laughed with Harry who tried to say "A-choo!" It was more like "A-boo!"
  15. Filled up the parakeets' seed jar.
  16. Did a few loads of laundry.
  17. Counted 5 sleeping cats.
  18. Found green beans hidden in a kitchen drawer.
It was a busy, beautiful day!
Hope your day went well, too!

  1. I liked the green beans in the drawer. One time I found a waffle inside a picture album. It was a little green and fuzzy, but still recognizable. :) Thankfully it was one I gave our son without syrup. :)

  3. Tons of food
    How rude..lol
Have to admit I was off on 15 and 16 though
As I thought that was cereal and some ancient computer from war games, but what do I know...lol
    Nugget had to cool down
As he's seeing kitties all over town
The geese stood and looked pretty for you too
All the cats seem to be right at home in your backyard zoo
And yes sounds like he's hooked on the cute little girlfriend
Flying to see her around the bend

  6. Pat ~ tried to even out the food with animals just for you
As I knew with food you wouldn't know what to do!
So, cats, bunny and geese, too
OH, and I bought catnip today for you know who! :)

  8. Yesterday was my day to get things done. (Ironing, potting plants, washing and grooming the dog, cleaning the fridge...) Today brought unforeseen middle-of-the-night challenges and a knot in the pit of my stomach throughout the day. I'll be glad when it's time to go upstairs to bed and start over tomorrow. God is gracious, the worst of it is over, and I pray we never have to do something like that again.

I like your list. Maybe tomorrow I'll make some zucchini bread. :)

  12. haha funny catnip story I had today
As I woke up and some how they both had the full bag rolling around with it at play
Orlin managed to actually open a drawer, an actual wooden drawer, none of that flimsy crap
And took the bag for a lap
No idea how he pulled it off though
But he rolled in it letting everything show..lol

  13. What fun surprises you always find! Green beans in the kitchen drawer is priceless. My dog, Star, lays on the AC vent to keep cool too. :)

  14. Pat ~

If Orlin is the one that got himself closed in the refrigerator
then I get a dresser drawer wouldn't be much of a detour

Sounds like he had his thrill
    laying in a catnip hill

Having given mine to the kittens yet
But tomorrow they will have fun, I bet!

One reason is your mosaics and trying to figure out what I'm looking at.

  23. Hi Betsy,

The zucchini cake looks yummy and the sleeping kittens are so cute.

You always seem to have such a full day of things to do. And the nice thing is that you share it with us.

    God bless.

  24. I am so captivated by barns lately. I like that shot of the barn you passed on your way to the store. Also, I read about your horrible experience with the raccoons. I had no idea they are so mean to their young. Poor things...

  25. This all looks like fun, and chocolate zucchini bread has me drooling!

  29. I look forward now to sharing your Wednesdays. You never have what I'd consider an ordinary day... green beans in a drawer, oh my! Glad you found them sooner rather than later.

  30. I love to read your daily "doings"--you always make mundane things seem interesting and fun. Chocolate zucchini bread sounds great and there certainly is an abundance of zucchini in the summertime. Have a nice weekend. Mickie :)
