Loch Ness

This week we have amazing cumulus clouds and I've enjoyed watching them floating by, morphing into all kinds of creatures. There was also a nice mix of white and gray, and peeks of blue sky, too. I thought this dark cloud was going to begin to look like a stegosaurus....
but it turned out to be more like the Loch Ness Monster!
And that's just fine with me, having Scottish ancestors and all! :)

This is a Sky Watch Friday post!

  5. Why do so many people look for Nessie at Lochness? All they need to do is look up.

  6. I can't remember the last time I tried to see something other than clouds when I looked at them...

  7. Silver ~ you need to stop and smell the roses...er...or look at the animals in the clouds. :)

  8. Sometimes I wonder if I still have that talent. :)

  9. Hi! Betsy...
I have to agree it most definitely, look like a large animal...A stegosaurus? The Loch Ness Monster? Perhaps! Thanks, for sharing the links too!
[By the way, What an uber-new header too!]

  11. Is that you fleeing in that car
Are you running away really far
Or I guess that be driving away
But lets not split hairs I say
Now all you need is bigfoot and a few more
And you can add a mythical creature attraction at your shore
Making some dough off your backyard zoo
    Nice pics by you

  12. Thanks, Pat ~ yes that's me,
    trying to flee!
    haha.

People will probably think I've turned into a loon
when I say I want to start up my aquarium again soon
It's been empty for a couple of years
and the fish I miss, I fear!

Maybe I could get a little loch ness looking creature
    as my main aquarium feature!

  13. A Loch Ness Mini-Me for your personal aquarium? I'd like to see that!

My parents started an aquarium supply store when I was a kid. My mom kept it going for a few years after my dad died. Sometimes I miss the fish.

  14. I forgot that you practically grew up on a zoo yourself! ha. We never had pets growing up so I guess I'm making up for it.

before we had any kids we had a salt water tank. A very expensive hobby. ha. After kids...fresh water. lol...

  15. Yeah, all the fish and equipment we sold were the fresh-water type.

  18. Your header is really great. I had to chuckle over the post on the boys moving the living room furniture.

  19. I like the clouds but I really like you in the VW bug. I had a bug in HS, mine was red with a blue back hatch because the previous owner had an accident.

  20. We have had some gorgeous weather this week haven't we? In my opinion...we have EARNED it! :)

  21. Rhonda ~ when I was really young, a VW bug was our family car! I sat in the 'way back'! ha. No convertibles, though.

  22. Jill ~ we HAVE earned it. It's been SO nice!

  23. Well at least you'll never have to flush and fish
Because with five kitties you can just drop them in a dish..lol
Definitly a tad nuts adding more to your zoo
But I can't talk this is true

  24. it is so cool to see things in the clouds! I have always done that...love you stegosaurus that turned out to be a lock ness monster! :-)

  25. Definitely a "monster in the making". Beautiful clouds in that nice blue sky. The sky can provide a lot of entertainment, beauty, inspiration, and sometimes just a restful moment. Have a lovely weekend with your 5 guys (love your cute header pic). Mickie :)

  26. Love your imagination.
I have also been in love with the clouds every since kindergarten when our teacher took us out side and said," What do you see? I see a mermaid!"

  27. Pat ~ eew.
I think I'd rather flush them
and see a kitten gulp them.

Does that count as a rhyme,
using the same word to chime?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Dottie ~ I love that...see, you remember that experience from way back then! I'm looking for a mermaid next time!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Love watching clouds but what I really love is your Header! Cute!
Also, on your sidebar...Spencer said Ditties. Did that blow you away?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Christine ~ yes, so fun that he said Ditties. I was surprised! But come back later tonight when I tell about him shopping with me and what he said. That was great, too! :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. That may count as a rhyme
    Some of the time
    And it may be neat
    But it's still a cheat..lol

  32. Our clouds practically never leave and sometimes like today they come very low to the ground.
We welcome the sunshine but maybe its like they say, something is going on and they keep clouds up there to stop the suns ultraviolet rays from giving people cancer?
We have been having weird weather and it doesn't make any sense.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I often looks at the clouds too...
    Greetings from France,

  34. Beautiful!!! I love cloud shots!!!

  35. When oh when to you find time to gaze at the sky? I suppose taking a moment out for the little thinks is what makes you, you.

    I love the new header.

Also, I now have a coffee pot alarm clock. It was not intended as such, but it makes so much noise brewing first thing in the morning, that it wakes me from the kitchen. Ha!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Tracey ~ actually, those three windows in front of my desk in the kitchen give me the perfect view of the eastern sky!

Yay for the loud coffee pot! ha. Now if hubs would bring you a cup so you could enjoy it in bed! :)

  37. Oh, I see Nessie! Since early childhood, I have been fascinated with stories of the Loch Ness Monster. Such fuel for the imagination.
