Rain, Rain, Go Away!!

But if it doesn't I'm ready for it!
No more working auctions and looking like THIS!
I picked nice bright red. That way, if I blow away in the wind,
my coworkers can find me just a little bit easier! haha!
I'm out on the farm working an auction on Thursday!
And yes, the forecast is calling for cold rain.
A thermos of coffee and I'm ready!

  6. The perfect color, and the raincoat is darling too.

You are going to look so spiffy at your auction.

  7. I do like the colors. We have had 3 or 4 days without rain finally but to come back in Fri. night thru Tues.. My daughter has her wedding on Sat. so hope it breaks for some outside pictures and to get in and out to hall. She said it is to bring you riches if it rains on your wedding day. Farmers are just starting to be able to get in fields here.

  8. Rain is really beginning to annoy
Soon we'll be talking pirate with ahoy
Yes you sure won't get lost with those
Even if the winds and rain comes in hard and blows
    Just make sure you float
Or latch on to a nearby boat
    For if you sink
    Won't matter if it's pink
Yeah that be kind of tacky too
The red works better I'm sure you knew

  9. Pat ~ If I blow away in a flood so high
I'll look for Bush #3 and wave as I
    go by!

  10. I bet you'll have the longest line because everyone will want to see those cute red boots up close who is wearing those cute red boots!

That's what I do in the grocery line. I find someone interesting or someone with children. It helps pass the time!

Have fun and sing in the rain!

  11. Christine ~ I do have one funny little old man who always gets in my line. After I check him out, he tells me I look "really, really pretty today" :) lol...he just cracks me up. I bet he's 80 years old. :)

OK...I'll sing, as long as my teeth aren't chattering! ha.

  17. Dear dear Betsy, you are so cute. I love the rain coat and I can just see you now smiling and welcoming folks to the auction. I so wish I could meet you. Raining here too. I just can't get over the aches and pains from the fall a couple of weeks ago and I know it is all the dampness and gloomy skies. Gotta keep looking forward. Blessings

  20. WOW! Love that new 'get up'....keep the coffee close. It's been pretty nippy out there and you don't need to get sick. How fun it will be to be all dressed up in your new duds.

  21. BetterBaker~ it has been cold...that windy damp cold that reminds me of late fall. Certainly doesn't feel like the end of May, does it? Yep...lots of coffee...but then lots of trips to the portajohn! lol.....

  22. I love auctions. My son told us of his friend who went to a police auction. There was a Toyota Tundra.
It belonged to drug dealers so they really suped it up to about 35 k worth. They ran it up and down BC and the truck had about 90 thousand km on it.
His friend bought it for 16 k and he is real happy with it because his job is hauling stuff from peoples' yards to the dump. He makes a small fortune doing this job.

  23. I love the red...and Lands End. Stay warm with your coffee and stylishly dry : )

  24. You will look pretty in red.;)
I have heard you that you have gotten a lot of rain, while we here in Northern Europe and Europe overall have gotten way too little. It rained for two days this week, the first rain in some areas for over a month.;) I am not complaining though, but the farmers are.;))
    Enjoy your auction.;)

  32. Red is my favorite color. But, I'll have to agree with the "rain go away." I can only take so much rain.

  37. Wooh, love the outfit! Lands End is one of my favourite stores - they do some great colours.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I tried to buy the raincoat on Lands End. I wanted the rain jacket, same color/pattern as the one you picture. Nothing left. I was very disappointed. It had received fine reviews. Ah well.

  39. It was very slim pickings when I was online a week ago! I wanted yellow coat and boots and they didn't have them in my size. Maybe in the fall when they restock?

  40. not in the city, but a little south of here, the region is flooded. a news reporter, on mothers day, showed women and a popular gift this year in the region were waders... not very chic but it did keep them dry as they stepped outside their homes to embark in a boat instead of their cars... they have it tough over there this year. your gear made me think of them...
    :/~
